Best Wedding DJ & Photo Booth
We hired Impulse Entertainment for our wedding in late April, and Nick and Susan exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Every aspect was handled professionally and on a personal level. The planning process was smooth and organized, and their team was responsive, helpful, and super easy to work. Nick did an incredible job reading the crowd and keeping the dance floor packed all night. The music flowed perfectly, and he struck the right balance between our requests and keeping guests engaged. The lighting completely transformed the reception space and created an amazing atmosphere. The photo booth was a huge hit with our guests and gave everyone a fun keepsake to take home while giving us a personalized guestbook. To top it off, Nick and Susan went out of their way to check in on us throughout the night. We can’t say enough good things about our experience with Nick and his team at Impulse Entertainment. The entire process from start to finish exceeded our expectations and the cost was very reasonable for all that we received. Nick's attitude and passion for what he does is infectious and his service was a 10 out of 10. We selected Jeff as our DJ and he was amazing too. He took our wish list and made sure everything we wanted to hear was played and he also added in some of his own suggestions and took some guest requests. The end result was a perfect blend of music that kept the dance floor full the whole night. He's super talented at mixing and blending which made it much more lively than if every song was played in its entirety. We also elected to have a photo booth. Paulina was our attendant working the booth and she was great too. Everyone had a blast taking candid group shots. We loved that the guests received a copy of the photo strip, one copy got pasted into an album for us to keep and a digital copy of everything was available online for us to download. Definitely worth having a booth at your wedding! Countless guests came up to us over the course of the night and told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to which was really nice to hear. All in all, Nick and team are just awesome! Don't waste your time looking around, go with Impulse Entertainment and you won't regret it.

My husband and I recently used Impulse Entertainment for our wedding DJ / photo booth. Nick and Susan were an absolute joy to work with and did everything they could to make our day special and stress free. Nick was extremely organized in the lead up to our wedding - providing helpful monthly reminders to help us select music for the various parts of our reception. Nick really took the time to get know us and our music preferences. He was detail oriented and not only checked in with us throughout the night, but our family members as well. He brought amazing energy to the reception and the music was perfect - our dance floor was packed all night. Nick also provided accent lighting, which complimented the rest of our decor so well. Susan did such a good job of running our photo booth - our guests really loved working with her throughout the night. My husband and I were so grateful that she reminded us to get our photos taken before the night was over! We cannot recommend Impulse highly enough - they were organized, had great communication, and brought the best energy to our reception. Thank you Nick & Susan!!

AMAZING!!!!
Impulse was FABULOUS! Steve was wonderful. Our guests really liked the music and people were on the dance floor all night! The whole process was easy to do, and I loved the app with how you could add in your own music and choose music to not play.

Best. DJ. Ever.
We cannot say enough great things about Impulse Entertainment. ESPECIALLY NICK!!! I mean if we could give 100 stars, we would. He was incredibly helpful every step of the way, from planning and timelines to making sure every detail went smoothly on the big day. Nick went above and beyond and mashed up a song I really wanted to walk down the aisle to, and the way he put it together.... we still have chills thinking about it! He kept everything running seamlessly and took so much stress off our shoulders during dinner, which meant the world to us. He kept checking in with not only us, but both set of parents too & I thought that was incredible. The music was perfect, the dance floor was packed all night, and our guests are still talking about how amazing he was. I am a huge Taylor Swift fan and he surprised me with a mini eras tour mash up & I still am not over it!!! Truly top-tier service and an unforgettable part of our wedding day. You can stop your search for a DJ now, because there is truly no one better than Nick! ALSO huge shout out to Susan who helped with our photobooth all night! She was the sweetest and even helped with a mini wardrobe malfunction I had with my second dress before going out to the reception! Truly an amazing company and even better people. THANK YOU AGAIN for making our wedding incredible!!!!

We are here to help you! Once we set up a consultation meeting and discuss your event, you can leave the stressing out to us! We will take care of everything necessary to make your event run as smoothly as possible. Also, we like to show genuine care and support along with a great attitude and a high energy profile to keep you and your guests entertained throughout your entire event. When it is all said and done the newest equipment can only go so far. What you really pay for is a DJ that knows you and what you want and can read your crowd to keep them on the dance floor all night.

Yes! We are covered up to $1,000,000 for any liability incident. This means that you, your guests, and your venue are covered! If your venue requires vendor insurance, please make sure to let us know and we’ll do the rest!

Absolutely! Beatmixing songs together (like you would hear a radio DJ do), ensures that there aren’t many pauses between songs and will keep you and your guests on the dance floor all night long without having to stop dancing and wait for the next song to start up again. We will make sure to keep the atmosphere fun and energetic!

We understand that many events (especially weddings) have guests from the ages of 2 to 92! The last thing we want to do is offend anyone with inappropriate lyrics. We make sure that all of our music (even today’s popular songs) is edited to please everyone. In fact, that is all we will play unless you request otherwise at a meeting. Furthermore, we use our best judgement when there are younger people in the crowd to make it a fun-filled night for everyone.

Most definitely! — But this is up to you. If you want your guests to request songs, we will take requests. If you want us to honor a specific playlist we will do that too! By taking requests, your guests can get involved in your event and we can have some fun and interact with them as well!

Currently, we serve Chicago’s north, west, and south suburbs. However, we are not opposed to traveling further for events. We must note that if your event is out of our service area, there will be an increase in price for travel costs.

With over 100,000,000 songs in our online databases, we are sure to have the music you want! If we don’t have it, we get it for you at no extra cost. Also, our songs are downloaded at the highest quality possible (and legally) to ensure you and your guests are experience a crisp, clear sound.
