Hi, Im Carol DeAnda, born and raised in the southwest suburbs and now living in Lake in the Hills Illinois, with my studio in downtown Algonquin. I have always been the one with the camera since grade school, but it wasn't until high school I realized that this could be my calling. After high school, I attended Harrington College of Design for the Digital photography program and started on my path to becoming a professional photographer. I am a PPA member and CPP (Certified Professional Photographer) and hold the Master Wedding Photographer degree from PPA, as well as a member of The Wedding Equality Alliance.

I believe that love is love no matter what and am a big supporter in marriage equality! Anyone who loves someone enough to want to spend their entire lives together deserves to have that love celebrated and remembered through photography. I have also been photographing weddings now for over 15 years which I feel sets me apart due to my experience :)

    Second To None. Seriously!

    Carol and her team are ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL when it comes to photography! The work is second-to-none, the professionalism is always consistent, and everyone is always so friendly! :) I have been working alongside Carol at weddings for several years now. As a DJ, it can be tough to communicate with vendors and make sure everyone is always ready to go. This is definitely not the case with Carol. I'm able to find her in a moment's notice and she's ready to capture those precious moments in an instant! Not to mention, her genuine love for her clients. Each and every couple that she works for she gives her all - and that not only shows on the day of an event, but also in her work. Carol and her team edit and produce SOME OF THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHY WORK I HAVE EVER SEEN. Seriously. If you haven't checked out her portfolio, do it now. You should book your wedding photographer as soon as you book your venue. This can be a year or even more before your wedding. This also locks you into my current collection rates.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 6-8 weeks after your wedding. I also offer a rush upgrade to get your wedding images to you in 7 days.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
You wouldn’t want to see all the photos I took, I cull them for you so you are seeing the best of each part of your day. I choose the ones that are up to my high technical standards as well as the ones with the best expressions and eye contact. The culling process is something that I have down to a science and I promise I'm not hiding any amazing photos.
I go through and edit each image bringing out the colors, adjusting contrast, color balance, cropping, as well as small blemish removal of the wedding couple. Having a pimple on your wedding day doesn't need to be forever captured. I have a very clean edit and don't overwork images. If you want more work done beyond this on certain images I can work with them at a rate of $50 per hour.
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible but I do have many videographers I can recomend.
I believe in making photographs, and without printing your images they are just a .jpg file that will live and die on your computer. When it comes down to it I want to make your life easier and provide you with something you will be proud of and want to display in your home.
