We also specialize in Father-Daughter, Mother-Son, & Bridal Party dances, and general dancing for the reception. Lake Shore Dance Academy is a ballroom dance studio whose mission is to share a passion for dancing through our community. We also strive to inspire our students to achieve their individual goals, while discovering the many physical, and mental benefits of dancing. Our objective is to provide the highest quality learning experience in personalized dance instruction. We teach all ballroom dance styles and strive to provide a fun and comfortable environment.

Our wedding dance was only the beginning....
We found Lake Shore Dance Academy about 2 years ago in a total panic. With only six weeks until our wedding and zero dance experience between us, the thought of performing in front of a crowd was terrifying. In just a few short weeks, Anna managed to take us from absolute beginners to confidently nailing a fun Rumba that completely shocked our friends and family! Apparently, the chaos of our wedding dance wasn't enough to deter us, because 2 years later, we are still at it with Anna. Since that first dance, she has continued to push us out of our comfort zones in the best ways possible. We’ve progressed from wedding prep, to performing a fully-costumed Viennese Waltz showcase, to recently completing our third official dance competition! Dance has added so much to our lives. For me as someone who works from home as a software developer, it’s the perfect physical outlet to disconnect from stress. For my wife, it has been an incredible boost to confidence and self-expression. Most importantly, it’s given us a shared goal and a fun way to connect and problem-solve as a couple. Anna has a fun and light hearted personality yet manages to strike an effective balance of making lessons challenging, yet effective and rewarding. Whether you just want to survive your wedding dance or you want to eventually hit the competition floor, we can't recommend Lake Shore Dance Academy enough. Anna is AMAZING!
We started coming to Anna at Lake Shore Dance Academy 6 weeks before our wedding! Both of us had little to no dance experience but with the help of Anna during lessons and steady consistent practice at home, we were performance ready for our first dance in 5 weeks!!! She had us perform a week early at one of the academy dance parties to get nerves out which was so helpful. She is amazing at catering to what you want in your dance style/level of difficulty/lesson length. She always takes videos with instructions so you can refer back to them in the future. The wedding package we chose allows for Father-Daughter/Mother-Son dance lessons as well. We opted for me and my father to use a couple of the lessons for our father-daughter dance. My father (73yo) hasn't danced for decades as well as has back problems and is VERY hard of hearing. Anna was so great with him, making sure he could hear her and she was always asking how he was physically during lessons. He had SUCH a great time. We are beginning our next set of lessons to continue our dancing knowledge as it is so fun and a good life skill. Anna said after our first lesson or so that dance lessons are sometimes the only thing that couples prepare for/pay for the wedding that continues throughout your life and she was so right. Everything else is complete by the end of the wedding night, but dancing skills are forever! We are excited to continue our lessons with Anna!!!
