Lula Cafe brings our award-winning artisanal cooking to your table for weddings, social celebrations, intimate dinners, cocktail parties, corporate events. From custom menus by chef/owner Jason Hammel, our chefs will craft a spectacular feast for you and your guests from the bounty of our local growers and 16 years of creative menus in our signature style. We tailor each event to compliment your needs for all types of events— from weddings to corporate brunches and family dinners, lunch buffets to light-bite cocktail soirees.

In addition to being a full service catering company, we are also a restaurant located in Logan Square since 1999! Our seasonally-focused cuisine ensures your wedding menu will only include the best tasting ingredients.

The couple wanted an elegant dinner-party vibe with approachable, seasonal cuisine for their guests. We worked with their florist, Thistle and Plume and their Planner, The Creative Partners, to source rich, warm fabrics that would compliment their vision and bring a cozy vibe to their March 2025 wedding.

My wife and I had our first date at Lula, so when we found out they catered weddings, it was a no-brainer. Unsurprisingly, they nailed it. Food and seasonality were big features in our wedding, and Anna and the team hit every note. Passed appetizers were delicious. Salads and entrees won rave reviews. Service throughout was impeccable. Pricing is incredibly fair for what we received. We had a very large wedding with some specific dietary needs across the board, and Lula excelled. Their responsiveness and flexibility up to the final days prior to the wedding were crucial. There’s really no reason to look for any other caterer - we’d use them again and again for any events we have in the future.

I wish everyone could work with Lula
10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND NO NOTES but if you insist... :) The only reason I was okay with our venue having a closed caterer list was that Lula was on the list. I knew from the start that Anna and her team would make the whole process seamless, would help with random annoying questions we had at every turn, and would produce the best quality food and service we could have asked for on our special day. I truly recommend that if you have the chance to work with Lula, you jump at the opportunity. They flawlessly created and executed our vision of a GreekJewish inspired menu plus an oyster bar and phenomenal specialty cocktails. Everyone deserves to have such a wonderful vendor to work with for their wedding. The wedding morning/afternoon was a bit stressful, but when I arrived at the venue and saw Anna and her team setting up, I swear a wave of calm washed over me, knowing my wedding would feel like the biggest and best dinner party of my life. Thank you so much!

best caterer!
Lula Cafe was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We had been to the restaurant a few times before and already loved their food, but somehow everything they served at our wedding was even better. They made the tasting process easy, fun, and stress-free, and every dish they created for our guests was absolutely phenomenal. Their late-night food options were also a huge hit and kept the energy going all night long. Anna was incredibly responsive, communicative, and thoughtful throughout every step of the process, which made the entire catering experience so enjoyable and seamless. Their whole team was professional, organized, and amazingly efficient. They handled incredibly quick room flips and service while still maintaining the highest quality of food and hospitality. Everything felt so smooth and well-executed, and it was clear how much care they put into making our wedding special. We truly could not have asked for a better caterer for our wedding!

Perfection from start to finish
If you want service and food that will leave your guests talking about it - Lula is the place to go. Outside of being our favorite Chicago restaurant, we picked Lula because of the variety in menu, ability for choice and seamless communication. Anna at Lula was a guiding light throughout the wedding planning process. She kept me grounded on quantities, was transparent about pricing, and quick to update once any changes were decided upon. When it came to the wedding day, held at The Firehouse in Chicago, I was completely at ease. The food was incredible - I am still getting texts about two weeks later. We did buffet style with salad, a chicken and pasta dish sides and it was enough for all guests, even with some going up for seconds. Lula worked seamlessly with our other vendors. While we went a different route for dessert and late night food, Lula prepped our pie dessert and late-night pizza, serving it to our guests. We moved forward with the mixer package for beverages and supplied our own liquor, and Lula helped guide us in quantity, and made adjustments to accomodate our two signature cocktails. All in all, it was a perfect day, which is greatly due to the Lula events team.

Perfect in every way
Anna and the Lula staff went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing wedding celebration. Of course the the food outstanding from start to finish, and the servers were super friendly and intuitive. The service was gracious and effortless. The tables and all of the plates, flatware, glasses etc. looked beautiful. Anna and staff worked closely with the venue (The Arbory) to make sure everything was organized and executed flawlessly. The night was truly magical and they were a huge part of it. Can't recommend them highly enough.
