The Local Petaler is a wedding and event floral design studio based in St. Charles, IL. The business started as a part-time venture just over 4 years ago in my mom's garage and quickly blossomed (awful pun) into a full-fledged career. With at least 100 weddings produced under The Local Petaler and countless others worked on as a freelance designer for other companies, I've done a little bit of everything at every venue. You're in good hands!

From the very beginning, I work with you and your partner to unite the two most important things in planning a wedding (besides the bride and groom) ... vision and budget! Weddings are expensive, and I want you to get the most bang for your buck, while also ensuring a quality product and experience. Through open and honest communication, I'll guide you through the decision making process and execution. As a sole proprietor, you work with me from beginning to end, so there's no middle-man and way less room for error or miscommunication. I've got your back!

Jen was incredible to work with. From the initial phone consultation, to day-of wedding set up, and all of the modifications and emails in between- she helped bring our vision to life. Our florals exceeded our greatest expectations. Even so many of our guests mentioned that they were the most beautiful arrangements that they have ever seen. Thank you so much, Jen. Jen made our wedding more beautiful than we had ever imagined. She gave us a good feeling from the start because of how passionate she is about her business. She was very communicative and upfront with us about costs (no surprise fees) as well as with what was doable or not in our price range. We never got the feeling that she was trying to upsell us on anything which was a huge relief because that can happen often in the industry. She listened to what we were envisioning and gave her input in a constructive manner (some of our favorite parts of the florals were Jen's ideas), and she also was honest with telling us if something was outdated or wouldn't fit with our aesthetic which we appreciated because we aren't experts on florals! She gave us the great idea to repurpose the bridesmaid bouquets for the reception centerpieces, which was the best decision we made because it was more practical and friendly for our budget. Overall, if you're looking for a small business owner to brighten your day, look no further than Jen because she will put her all into making your wedding or event beautiful.

Jen absolutely stunned me with the flowers she showed up with on my wedding day. She made my vision a reality, and then some. She was mindful of our budget, had creative ideas that I never would have thought of, listened deeply, and was so kind and thoughtful when nudging me away from bad ideas :-) I would absolutely recommend her.
