Second Floor - Ceremony Space
Bright and fresh ceremony room bordered by large windows on both sides
As soon as you step into the room, you can immediately envision yourself walking down the aisle towards our organic feature wall. This space has retained the original building's brick coloring which is balanced out by the neutral wood-tones of our floors and the walls of the bar. Windows facing East and West promises beautiful natural lighting for as long as the Sun is up. For our winter weddings, we dim the lighting to ensure your space is intimate and romantic as you would like.

Our first floor is the crown jewel of Walden! As soon as you cross the entrance to the reception and cocktail space you are immediately greeted to versatile room that feels both cozy and spacious at the same time. We decided to white wash the original brick to bring in a light and airy feel to contrast with the industrial floors and ceilings. We fell in love with the original ceilings of the building and opted to keep them as is!!

We love Walden and can’t recommend enough!
From our first conversation with Sydni and Ally at Walden Chicago, we knew we had found the right venue. They responded to every question quickly and thoroughly, and their friendly approach made the entire planning process feel effortless. The space itself is spacious and beautiful, and the food and drink were absolutely incredible—our guests couldn't stop talking about it. When issues came up, the team solved them without us having to stress about a thing, and they even helped us put together our seating chart at the last minute. Sydni and Ally went above and beyond in every way, giving us thoughtful advice and making sure nothing fell through the cracks. We can't recommend Walden Chicago enough.

My husband and I had both our ceremony and reception at Walden on 9/27/26. And let me tell you, BOOK THEM AS YOUR VENUE!!!! Girllllll, I had no clue where to start when it came to wedding planning. There’s so many decisions that I was completely overwhelmed. I toured several venues and was being bombarded by questions that I just simply did NOT have any answers to. That is until we toured Walden. And OMG this place is sent from the wedding planning heavens above. They provide everything (pretty much) in house which is AWESOME. I personally did NOT want to outsource for catering, bar, linens, etc. I just didn’t want to deal with the emails of it all TBH. and with Walden, it’s all internal. Most of my communication was through Briscel who is an ANGEL. she’s so bubbly and welcoming and like a true girls girl. We also worked with Katie rose and on our actual wedding Day alyssa was my GIRL. She was the best. Got me in and out of my dresses, steamed all the bridesmaids dresses, set up the decor, and made a day that could have been the most stressful day of my life, completely relaxed. I’m forever glad we went with Walden for our wedding. Great drinks, fantastic food, and even better wedding planners and staff. Also, bridal suite is sooooo fire for getting ready. Really set the vibes for the day to have fun with my girls while getting ready. Go head do yourself a favor and book Walden! Thank you for everything!!!! The Altizers

Smoothest wedding of all time
Working with Walden Chicago was such a relief because they actually listened to what we wanted instead of pushing us toward unnecessary add-ons. From our first conversation through the tasting to the final day, Sydni Boney and her team were responsive, patient, and genuinely interested in making our vision come true. They supported my DIY ideas while keeping things practical, and we were able to stick to our budget without sacrificing the elegant look we wanted. The tasting experience alone was worth it—the portion sizes were generous and the quality was incredible. The bar was well staffed, and customized. They made sangria and Hugo spritz as our signature cocktails and had many classics pre-batched. The economic package had quality liquors, wines, and beers, and every thing was craft made. On our wedding day, everything ran smoothly because the staff knew exactly what they were doing and actually cared about the details. Walden Chicago isn't just good at their job; they're good people, and any bride who gets married at the Walden is truly lucky.

We stumbled upon Walden while doing a quiz on The Knot to find a venue. What a find! From the start, their communication was efficient and top notch. Maria, the owner, was amazing to get info from and a tour. The venue has thought of EVERYTHING and more. Things you never even would think of needing yourself! Maria used to be a wedding planner and it shows in how she runs the venue! The food/bar staff is also amazing in making sure all the food and drinks you could want are available. They source local, women and minority owned, and LGBTQ friendly companies which leads to your bar having unique liquors, wines, and beers that you don't see at most weddings. The tasting party was a blast and the staff really took the time to make sure we got to taste anything we wanted. Throughout planning, Katie and Sydni guided us the entire time with timelines and goals so nothing was rushed or forgotten. Our guests continue to rave about their experience with the flow of the night, food, and drinks. We truly didn't have to do or think of a thing on our wedding day - it all just happened! Sydni and Katie, our planner and coordinate were the absolute best and truly feel like your friend by the end! We cannot say enough great things about Walden and are so, so happy we stumbled upon them for our big day! They made planning fun and the actual day a dream!

I cannot recommend Walden enough as a wedding venue. They made my husband and I's wedding planning experience amazing from start to end. The planning team was amazing and took a lot of the stress and uncertainty out of the planning process for us, which was extremely helpful. The staff that worked our event also were amazing. we received so many compliments about how good the food and drinks were, and how seamless our day went and we cannot agree more. Walden is a beautiful venue and was everything we wanted and more.
