About Jim Perona Guitar, Inc

Jim Perona Guitar, inc

Guitarist

I am an experienced wedding guitarist w/ a repertoire that spans 500+ years of music, including contemporary! For the latter, I create solo guitar arrangements of songs upon request, which maintains it's familiarity while adding a charming elegance. These arrangements are a huge hit with wedding couples! I'm honored to have won numerous "Best of" awards in the wedding industry. Planning & performing music for weddings is my passion and profession. Providing music for your big day is an extreme honor & privilege for me and an opportunity that I never take for granted. I cannot wait to talk more about the music for your big day!

I will work with your unique vision, tastes, & musical passions to create a custom, one-of-a-kind wedding soundtrack without any compromises. Thanks to 10+ years experience as a full-time wedding guitarist, I've developed an instinct & feel for organically fading music out at the right times (you'll never have to worry about precise timing for songs during rehearsal!). I work seamlessly with vendors of any experience level so you won't have anything to worry about on your big day. Due to my expansive, evergrowing repertoire and ability to do custom song arrangements by request, your musical options are limitless!

    Best Guitarist Around!

Jim is INCREDIBLE. We reached out to him months in advance of our wedding to play for our Ceremony and Cocktail Hour, and Jim delivered above and beyond. He was responsive, accommodating, and his music was PERFECT. He made our wedding planning process so easy and our wedding day was nothing short of a fairy tale. He even RAN from our Ceremony outside to get set up for Cocktail Hour. I cannot recommend Jim enough. We love him and our special day would not have been the same without him.

Look no further - You have found the best.

I can't recommend Jim enough. It was a treat to have him at our wedding. At first we were just going to have him for our cocktail hour, but due to Covid had to change our wedding up and we had Jim play all evening for us. You should seriously look no further. Jim is a talented passionate musician and will add a beautiful touch of elegance to your wedding day or other special event.

    Provides an Authentic Musical Experience

There's something authentic, warm, and alive about acoustic finger style guitar. I'll never forget the first time I photographed a wedding where Jim played. His smile was as infectious as the music. Since then I've gotten to know more about Jim's solo guitar work as well as the Jasmine + Perona duo where he's accompanied by his (soon to be) wife on vocals. Give them an audition and bring some authenticity to your event.

I've typed out a very detailed response to this question, which can be found via the detailed FAQ on my website: https://www.jimperona.com/booking/faq
Formal attire (shirt & tie, black or gray slacks) that can be customized to your liking if there's a particular color scheme, etc.
I do! I can accommodate up to 3 special requests per wedding. I already have a vast repertoire list spanning numerous genres & eras, but am quite happy to learn songs special to your wedding. I also offer demos of any song you'd be considering, so you can hear how it sounds in solo instrumental guitar style before choosing it for your wedding. This service is included in my quote.
A vast and ever-growing repertoire, full accommodation of special requests, live performances opportunities, (these should resume post-COVID!), a combined 29 "Best of" awards on major wedding planning sites, and a pure passion for arranging, planning and performing music for a wedding. This is my passion, my profession, and I am incredibly grateful for every couple I get to work with.
Both, including the Prelude! You can choose between different service packages starting with Prelude + Ceremony. I also offer Prelude + Ceremony + Cocktail Hour, Cocktail Hour only, Dinner Hour, and more packages. A more detailed breakdown can be found via the FAQ on my site: https://www.jimperona.com/booking/faq
Yes!
Just about everything. My repertoire spans 500+ years from Bach to Beatles (and beyond!) with a ton of classical, flamenco and contemporary music as well. The only instrumental styles I don't specialize in are jazz & bluegrass. Check out my YouTube channel, which is broken down into playlists by genre & era: https://www.youtube.com/user/jimperonaguitar/playlists
I like to arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the Prelude, so 75 minutes prior to the Ceremony.
None!
