Kendra Smith Weddings is filled with honest emotion and documentary integrity. Photographer, Kendra Smith, is inspired by Annie Leibovitz, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Slim Aarons, and Eve Arnold and others that mix incredible portraiture with the authenticity of documentary photography that can be both editorial and timeless. Kendra is an experienced digital & film photographer who specializes in documentary-style wedding photography, analog/film, and 4k video in a super 8 style.

Kendra has been photographing people, places, and things since she was a kid. Weddings came naturally as she picked up her first digital in 2016 and continued to take on weddings while working full-time. After years of in-house photography work with various marketing positions, she decided to pursue her own business in 2021. Her experience as a photographer ranges from weddings, events, to studio and editorial photography. She is passionate about stories and how we all find our place in the world and capturing the beauty in the big and small moments. From the individual to the collective, she hopes to capture what is true and honest.

Description

6 Hours 3 Rolls of Film + Digital Photography, Edits, Developing & Processing. Micro weddings are small gatherings of around 50 people max that last no longer than 6 hours including getting ready, ceremony, portraits, and reception. Some additional hours are available, if needed.

Elopement

Description

Elopement is a private gathering and celebration with 4 hours of maximum coverage including getting ready, ceremony, and portraits. Additional hours are available, if needed. I use multiple digital cameras and lenses to achieve optimal wedding photography coverage and try to fit in small video snippets throughout the day for social reels. Kendra Smith Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. Her energy is warm and inviting. She’s organized, thorough, and timely. She put us at ease throughout the entire wedding planning process. The quality of her work was simply stunning - her photos were beautiful, the coloring was perfect. The film photos were my favorite and we plan to use those as some of our framed photos so we can always remember this day. She was a breeze to collaborate with. Kendra captured so many special moments that we would have never seen without her talented eyes, and she made the entire experience fun and easy. We hired Kendra as our wedding photographer last summer and had a wonderful experience. We specifically were looking for a documentary-style wedding photographer, so we got a bunch of great candids of us and our family. We also got great portraits and family photos, so best of both worlds! The film photos turned out spectacular :) She went above and beyond from the start, helping us sketch out the day's schedule so we knew how/when she would be helping us. During the day she was super on top of things, and made us feel comfortable when taking photos (we don't take a ton of photos so this was super nice!). We had some specific small decorations/moments we wanted to make sure she captured and she did a great job of that without having to talk about it on the day of. We got a quick sneak peek in less than a week, and a full brilliant set of 800 photos in a couple months!

A film add-on is either by the roll = $125/roll or packaged by % of rolls added. This includes everything needed for authentic film photography - the cameras, film, post-processing fees, scanning, editing, and final delivery (I mail you the hard copies after everything is uploaded digitally). I learned to be a photographer on analog cameras with 35mm film. It is still my favorite medium to photograph with!

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.

Yes! I offer a video that results in a 3-4 minute final edit with music of your choice

My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding. Busy season, this can take 8-10 weeks. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a link to download high-resolution or web-sized image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.

You can expect about 60 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors. Numbers are more defined by package minimum.

In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement. I will also be sure to return all forms of payment - including the deposit.

Sometimes, I’ll bring one or more assistant photographers depending on the size of your wedding. Don’t worry, this won’t cost you extra.

Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
