Kendra Smith Weddings
Kendra Smith is a documentary-style photographer and videographer working in 35mm, 120, and Super 8 film, where she focuses on honest emotion and documentary integrity. Inspired by the intimacy of Eve Arnold and the elegance of Slim Aarons, she blends portraiture with unfiltered storytelling—capturing raw emotion in images that are candid, cinematic, and timeless.
Kendra has been photographing people, places, and things since she was a kid. Weddings came naturally as she picked up her first digital in 2016 and continued to take on weddings while working full-time. After years of in-house photography work with various marketing positions, she decided to pursue her own business in 2021. Her experience as a photographer ranges from weddings, events, to studio and editorial photography. She is passionate about stories and how we all find our place in the world and capturing the beauty in the big and small moments. From the individual to the collective, she hopes to capture what is true and honest.

Kendra is AMAZING
We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding photographer! From the very first moment, she made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera and truly took the time to understand the vibe we were going for. On our wedding day, she blended seamlessly into the celebration—capturing candid moments without ever feeling intrusive, while also guiding us effortlessly when we needed direction. The final photos were absolutely stunning—every image felt natural, full of life, and so true to who we are. She didn’t just take pictures; she told our story beautifully. I can’t recommend her highly enough to anyone looking for someone who is not only incredibly talented, but also warm, professional, and genuinely invested in making your day perfect.

Kendra captured so many special moments that we would have never seen without her talented eyes, and she made the entire experience fun and easy. Great documentary-style wedding photographer!
We hired Kendra as our wedding photographer last summer and had a wonderful experience. We specifically were looking for a documentary-style wedding photographer, so we got a bunch of great candids of us and our family. We also got great portraits and family photos, so best of both worlds! The film photos turned out spectacular :) She went above and beyond from the start, helping us sketch out the day's schedule so we knew how/when she would be helping us. During the day she was super on top of things, and made us feel comfortable when taking photos (we don't take a ton of photos so this was super nice!). We had some specific small decorations/moments we wanted to make sure she captured and she did a great job of that without having to talk about it on the day of. We got a quick sneak peek in less than a week, and a full brilliant set of 800 photos in a couple months!
