“Working with George Street was such a wonderful experience. They made everything about the process easy and manageable. From our very first conversation with them, they were incredibly friendly and amenable - willing to work with us regarding our budget and offered packages not based on how they could get the most amount of money from us, but on how their packages would help us execute our vision of the perfect wedding. However, where George Street really shines is in their team. We chose Jeremy as our lead photographer and he brought such a joy and passion to the photos that he took. We had chosen a rather unique venue for our engagement session (one without the best lighting to be fair) and he took such care in crafting each shot so that we both looked our best, but also popped against the background. You could tell while he was taking every photo that it was not about getting the next shot and moving on, but that he cared about getting the right shot for you. That kind of care extends to the rest of their team as well. Nora and Emily were incredibly communicative throughout the entire process. They responded to almost every email within 48 hours of sending and anytime we had a question about anything, no matter how small, they were more than happy to walk us through it either via email or by hopping on the phone. Their user portal for creating a wedding plan is also very user-friendly and was helpful in determining important moments to capture during the night as well as the best way to structure our wedding in terms of timeline. In terms of the actual wedding day, we had Mario as an associate photographer and Randy as our videographer in addition to Jeremy. Once again, all three made us feel like we were absolute stars. For Randy in particular, he was seemingly everywhere at once. If there was something happening on the dance floor or a moment of revelry happened anywhere, he somehow captured it. The process of receiving the photos & videos afterward was also much quicker than anticipated and they were stunning. We had such a hard time choosing what photos would go into the album. Overall, this was an incredible team to work with and if we were to do it all again, they would be our first choice.”

Upon booking Windy City Glam, I also had the pleasure of being in contact with Catherine the founder who was always so accessible, kind, and professional. She set me up with a trial with Celeste prior to my wedding and she and Celeste took detailed notes about my vision for my wedding day look. I appreciate that they were both very receptive to feedback which made me feel heard, felt, and seen as a bride. You can tell Catherine/Windy City glam care deeply about their brides and desired wedding day looks. Beyond the trial Catherine and Celeste even gave me recs on lashes to play around with wearing since I was so new to them! I thought I had a lash allergy and Catherine suggested we do a little test on my skin. It was at that point that I learned it was lash glue I was allergic to and not lashes! They made sure to have special non-adhesive glue for me on my wedding day and I was so happy to wear lashes which heightened my look! It is the care and attention such as that, which made Windy City Glam such a joy to work with. Our makeup artist Celeste, did an incredible job on my bridesmaids, mother, and my make up. Celeste perfectly enhanced our natural diverse beauty while ensuring each look was timeless and elegant. She was so kind and patient and I could not have asked for a better artist to work with on a wedding day which can feel a bit nerve wracking. I felt myself and my party were in really good hands the entire time which was such a gift. Celeste really made sure to check in with all of us as she was doing our makeup to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. “We were looking for a modern, not-too-stuffy venue to host our summer 2025 wedding. We were thrilled when we found Walden and saw the beautiful, modern, space that would allow for the ceremony & reception in one location and that we could create our own vision of the day. The space is beautiful on its own but can be transformed into whatever vision you may have. With a late June wedding, we wanted it to be a colorful and intimate affair. Having the planning team on site made the process extremely smooth and it was invaluable to have their insight, experience and knowledge of the venue. Krystle and Katie were on the ball and there were no hiccups or issues during the planning process or day of (as far as we know!). They have strong relationships with our vendors (band, florist, linens, lighting, etc) which gave us peace of mind and allowed us to focus on other things. Catering in-house is a huge perk and the kitchen was top notch helping us create our non-traditional menu and food service. Bar options went well beyond typical packages in terms of quality of product and idea generation of drink selection and creation. Universally, guests said that the food and beverage were the best they had had at a wedding! Overall, we are thrilled with how everything turned out on our wedding day and much of that happiness has to do with having it at Walden!”

“It's hard to find the words to sufficiently capture how vital Olivia was to our wedding. While we had hired most of our vendors before deciding to hire Olivia as a day of coordinator about 3 months before our wedding, we had only the vaguest of a sketch about how our wedding day would work. Olivia immediately worked with us and developed a detailed draft of the schedule. She then proceeded to hold several planning meetings with us, and our vendors as well as an on-site visit at our venue with us about a month and a half before our wedding. We built in several custom parts of our wedding including some Hindu customs that required reworking and updating our timeline several times. Olivia handled all of this with incredible grace. During our rehearsal Olivia cleared things up for our wedding party and made sure that we were all on the same page. Despite many of our party members showing up late, she still got the important points through to everyone and made sure that there was no confusion the day of. For our wedding Olivia was on the scene working early to coordinate setup at two different venues, and was also running things over from our hotel, while maintaining contact with everyone. She made sure that we all were in place with plenty of time to spare and this enabled us to really maximize our time with the photographer and videographer. After the ceremony she made sure that folks found their way to the cocktail hour and reception. Since we had to spend most of the cocktail hour taking photos and changing we didn't really have time to enjoy our appetizers, but thankfully Olivia made sure to give us some time alone to sample them in a private room before our grand entrance. At the reception Olivia worked with our DJ to keep the event running on time, making sure the toast makers were in place and ready to go. She also managed putting out our thank you gift bags and setting aside our cards from guests. We had an amazing time dancing and eating, and were able to trust that Olivia was keeping things running as we enjoyed ourselves. I can't stress how important it was for us to hire Olivia as our coordinator. She was unflappable and made sure that we kept our focus on ourselves, and our friends and family. We managed our own rehearsal dinner and I can tell you from first-hand experience that the day of our wedding with Olivia in charge was so much less stressful and much more fun. I would highly recommend Olivia to anyone having a wedding in the Chicago area!”

Teddy arrived on time and kept everyone on our toes throughout the night. The only thing I will say, is if you’re doing bridal party introductions it’s best to rehearse it if possible.
