I picked up my first camera in high school and immediately I was hooked. I’m a high school English teacher, so all of that time I spend wrangling teenagers and getting them to do work helps me out when I’m directing your wedding party for photos. I love being a teacher, and I love the flexibility it gives me to pursue another passion of mine: photography.

I (Karin) remember how I felt planning my wedding. Things I had never thought about before suddenly became the most important things to me. I researched like crazy and made inspiration pages in my wedding binder (before the days of Pinterest) so I had a clear idea of what I wanted. Above all I knew I wanted the most BEAUTIFUL photos that represented us. And even though we did all this work to find a great photographer, we were so disappointed with our photos. Now, I realized what mistakes I made and what I wish somebody would have shared with me when I was choosing a photographer.

Paul and Kris met in 1989 while playing in an orchestra in Wheaton, IL. They started the Brass String Chamber Ensemble in 1990 which quickly became very popular throughout Chicago and the suburbs. They have played over 2000 weddings and special events and have thousands of titles in their combined music library. The BSCE enjoys playing for ceremonies but also cocktail hour and during dinner. They are familiar with all traditional church ceremonies and also happy to play in banquet halls, country clubs, hotels, or even at a lovely home celebration. They are based in Naperville but travel throughout Chicago and the suburbs.

I'm a wedding filmmaker based out of Chicago, IL and I love my job. It’s been nearly 4 years since I was asked to film my first wedding. Capturing the emotion, the details, and love portrayed from each couple’s special day has been unimaginably rewarding. I am thankful to everyone who has placed their trust in me to capture one of the most important days in their lives. When I’m not working I’m most likely trying to improve my latte art on my Breville Barista Express espresso machine or most importantly spending time with my beautiful wife and daughter. My goal is to create a family heirloom which can be passed down for generations to come.
