I have been a wedding planner for over 20 years. I am here to support your ideas and help you find ways to make your wedding day the experience you imagine. I also specialize in planning weddings in a very short amount of time. Its a wonderful challenge and you’ll receive no judgement from me about your timelines! There are no geographic limitations. I’m comfortable working remotely for the planning process and have traveled extensively domestically and abroad. I have supported people from all backgrounds in their journey towards a lifetime of love together. I network extensively with other vendors & have a passion for collaboration.

My background is as a corporate and non-profit event planner, including a year and a half doing international work. The variety of the type of work that I have done over the course of my career means that I’ve seen it all…and I can handle it! A great part of the work of a planner is being a problem-solver combined with the knowledge of how to connect with people. This is my passion and who I am to my core – a people-person with an eye for detail and a brain for logistics. I don't come from a traditional "wedding planning" background, so I love thinking creatively about all aspects of weddings and how to support my couples with their goals.

    Sholeh Events Kept Us Sane on the Wedding Day!

    Hiring Sholeh Events for day-of coordination was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Chayla was our lead coordinator, and from the moment she stepped in, she did everything within her power to ensure our wedding day ran smoothly. In fact, she was so good at her job that I honestly don't know if anything went wrong on our wedding day, which is probably the highest compliment a wedding coordinator can receive! She handled everything behind the scenes so seamlessly that we were able to be fully present and enjoy every moment. Chayla's experience and professionalism were evident throughout the planning process. She was familiar with our venue, had previously worked with our DJ, and offered thoughtful suggestions for our timeline as well as recommendations for vendors to assist with setup and teardown. Her knowledge and guidance helped us feel confident and prepared leading up to the wedding. She also attended our ceremony rehearsal the day before and made sure everyone in the wedding party knew exactly where they needed to be and what they needed to do. That alone was a huge gift. I genuinely cannot imagine trying to wrangle that crowd myself! If you're looking for a day-of coordinator who is organized, knowledgeable, proactive, and incredibly professional, I cannot recommend Chayla and the Sholeh Events team enough. They gave us the priceless gift of being able to relax and enjoy our wedding day, knowing everything was in capable hands.

    Wedding Planning

    From day one, Sholeh and her team made us feel like our wedding was in the best hands possible. Their communication was quick and accurate, which made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. They took our small vision and turned it into reality in a way that felt personal and professional at every step. Sholeh worked closely with Marcus and me to understand what we wanted, and she delivered exactly that on our wedding day. We're so grateful to have had them be part of our journey, and honestly, we miss Sholeh and wish we had more reasons to see her! She truly made our day perfect, and we look back on it with so much joy knowing she made it all happen.

    The best wedding planner in Illinois

    Working with Sholeh Events was such a great experience from start to finish. Sholeh was patient and knowledgeable, answering every question we threw at her without hesitation. What really stood out was how organized she kept everything—she made sure our wedding day ran smoothly with zero hiccups. She was genuinely fun to work with and made the whole planning process feel less stressful. Her attention to detail and willingness to help us at every step made a real difference in how special our day felt.     We hired Sholeh Events as a day-of coordinator for our wedding. If you can afford it, I highly recommend having a day-of coordinator, particularly Sholeh Events. Sholeh and Chayla were absolutely amazing to work with. Chayla was our lead coordinator on the day. They were incredibly organized, kind, and professional. Our wedding turned out perfectly, and much of it is due to Sholeh Events. I didn’t have any worries or stress, and could be present on the day. It was an absolute joy to work with Chayla at our wedding. I also love the values of their company; they support diversity and inclusion. If you are looking for a wedding coordinator, I would highly recommend them and would use them as an event coordinator in the future.

    Excellent Wedding Planner

    Sholeh was a blessing when it came to planning our wedding. Her planning documents were detailed and accurate. They served as the perfect “plan of action” guides…we knew what to do and when. She had recommendations and contact for all vendor needs. There were a few instances when my chosen vendors did not respond timely and she jumped right in to get the answers and confirmations I needed. She was a lifesaver the day of the wedding. She coordinated the setup at the chapel and reception site…I did not have to worry about a thing. Her “emergency kit” came in handy when we had tuxedo button and bustle issues. She was such a pleasure to work with and extremely professional yet personable and reliable. She helped make the planning less stressful and more exciting. Thank you so much Sholeh!
