The team at The Odyssey went above and beyond to ensure our special day went off without a hitch. They had a detailed plan A and plan B in place to account for potential weather issues, and even asked us to bring in extra decor items a couple days early so they could have everything ready and waiting for our wedding coordinators. Every single staff member, especially Isabella and Kelly, were phenomenal to work with. We actually found this venue just 40 days before our wedding, as our previous venue could not accommodate our increased guest count. The Odyssey Venue made our day truly magical and one that we will never forget. If we could do it all over again, we would choose them in a heartbeat - no hesitation whatsoever!”

“I had Suzana Roman for my bridal makeup in July 2024. She not only did an AMAZING job with the makeup, but was only communicative, professional, and punctual. I had a large bridal party with 10 people (including me) wanting makeup. I also had a variety of needs (full face, airbrush, just eye makeup, just lashes, etc.). She did an amazing job making my entire party feel comfortable with their makeup choices and highlighting their wants and requests. She was also extremely punctual given the amount of women that needed makeup! Most of my bridal party wears minimal makeup and she did a great job highlighting their natural makeup looks while still making them "photo ready". All women were 100% satisfied with their makeup looks and all were pleasantly surprised with the cost. AND the makeup stayed on ALL day - through tears, the heat, and dancing! Suzanna was friendly, professional, and funny! She was a joy to work with and I recommend hiring her for your wedding or any other big event where you need makeup!”

“From the first phone call to the end of our wedding reception, The Walk Ins were incredible. Joe, the band lead, was so beyond helpful the entire way. I knew after that initial consult that this was the band I was going to hire because of how fun, friendly, helpful and energized he was. This is his passion, for sure! We met with Joe several times to finalize the timeline and music for the day, he really takes the time to make sure it goes as perfect as possible. Joe is not "just" the band lead, he knows how to run the entire show! He's basically a day of coordinator who will make sure your timeline is followed to the very minute. Seriously, he gave us so much advice and it all worked out beautifully. Now the music.... WOW. We had the full 8pc band and it. was. perfect. I've wanted a live band at my wedding since I was a child and The Walks Ins delivered! People danced ALL night. The sound was amazing. Transitions were beautiful. The Walk Ins kept the party going and weeks later we are still receiving so many compliments from guests. I don't even want to imagine what the big day would've been like without The Walk Ins. I cannot recommend them enough. Heads up -- they also play at music festivals (oak lawn fall music fest for one), restaurants, and suburban pavilions (i.e., New Lenox) so you can catch them year round!”

Our planning timeline was only about 5 months, My husband and I lived in different countries and had to deal with the added stress of immigration visas on top of wedding planning. “Nicky Avalo Studios is AMAZING. DJ Redd kept the dance floor filled all night long. I was one of the crazy brides who had a veryyyyy long must play list and he did a great job at playing the songs that kept people singing & dancing. From the very start, it was such an easy process!! Before the wedding, I had actual nightmares about who would DJ my wedding (no idea why… just mustve been what I was most nervous for?! LOL) and WOW those nightmares were all wrong. “We absolutely loved our wedding experience with Chicago Winery. From day 1 they made us feel so welcome, and they were genuinely excited to host and share the day with us (shoutout to Amy!). Planning was so much easier since we did not have to go elsewhere for food or drinks (plus great wine), and the venue itself does not need a lot of extra decor to achieve the vibe you want. The location is also great for guests, since they're near lots of things to do and there are plenty of hotels within walking distance. Our guests absolutely loved the different spaces the venue provides; it was a huge plus to have the terrace remain open throughout the night, so that guests who wanted a break from dancing had another space to be in and mingle. All of the staff did an incredible job, and we received a lot of compliments on the food as well. As with any wedding day I'm sure, there were a couple little details that got missed, but only myself and my husband would have noticed. Overall we had an incredible wedding day, our friends and family had a blast, and Chicago Winery was absolutely the venue for us. “Where do we even begin with Walden Chicago? All we have is gratitude and love for this venue! From our first inquiry with Maria pre-engagement, to our amazing planning journey with Kalila and Ally, we felt taken care of every step of the way. Walden itself is the perfect wedding venue. All of their spaces from their rooftop with a surreal Chicago view, their second floor ceremony space with impeccable lighting, their getting ready spaces for both ladies and gents, to their gorgeous and spacious reception space, everywhere we went with our guests felt magical. Now onto Kalila and Ally; we could thank them enough. From the moment we were paired and begun planning, they felt more like besties than anything. They were there to answer every question, complete every request, and help calm every nerve on the day-of, with constant laughter along the way. “Blair and her team, Elly and Neva, were lifesavers for our wedding! We met her team during an open house for The Brix, the venue where we had our reception. We found out that my cousin was also working with her for his wedding and he had the most amazing things to say so we knew we were in good hands! Blair is easy to talk to and work with, professional, kind, understanding, and extremely organized! She helped us stick to our budget, coordinate with other vendors, and gave us so many recommendations and options for high quality vendors. Blair is extremely responsive! We loved how quickly she was responding to any questions we had and I also really appreciated the nudges on deadlines! We have extremely busy schedules and we travel often, so the frequent reminders and check-ins were crucial. We were grateful that there were scheduled talks intermittently throughout the planning process. It really helped us manage the timeline and logistics. If you’re a Type-A Bride, you will love the website they put together to help keep things organized (seating chart, vendors etc). On the big day, Blair and her team ensured everything ran smoothly, allowing us to enjoy ourselves. “My husband and I worked with Godfred for our wedding videography and we were quite literally BLOWN AWAY by his talent and the videos received. We have also received so much overwhelming feedback from family and friends who have seen our footage and are in awe of what we have received. From the beginning, working with Godfred was seamless, easy, and the communication was on point. He took the time to gather details about us that I see now were carefully used to capture things that were most important to us on our wedding day. From start to finish, the attention to detail was unmatched. Then, on our wedding day, Godfred was a dream to work with - he captured so many moments that felt like a whirlwind to us on the day-of, but when we got to watch them in the finished product, we got to re-live those moments, and that is truly invaluable. Being on camera can be nerve-wracking for some people, but he truly made us feel so comfortable and at-ease. I have re-watched the wedding trailer Godfred created for us no less than a million times since it's been delivered, and it is truly amazing.
