    My wife and I were married in October and hired George Street for our photographers and videographers and were so impressed by the whole team George Street assembled for us. George Street utilizes a web portal for the purposes of planning the photos you’d like, as well as selection and scheduling the photography/videography team. We worked with Nelson and Elyse as our photographers, and Matthew as our videographer. Nelson took our engagement photographs and they came out great! Nelson had great ideas for poses, angles, and backgrounds, and we were so pleased with how the photos came out. Come wedding day, we started with ‘getting ready’ shots at the hotel, and both Nelson and Matthew captured great still shots and video footage of the girls and guys getting ready. The whole team then met us at our first look location, and took some great shots leading all the way up to the first look, then made sure they really captured the beauty of the first look itself between my wife and I. Afterwards, the team was well organized and made sure we got all our photos with combinations of family and bridal party before heading to the venue. Getting into the ceremony, the whole team maintained a perfect distance and we didn’t feel crowded or interrupted at all. Following the ceremony, the team’s organization continued with post-ceremony pictures with family, bridal party, and friends. The team also coordinated with our DJ during a ‘photo blitz’ to get photos with each table in a really rapid and fun format. During the reception, the team worked great to make sure we got photos with the guests, and often only needed to make eye contact with us before coming over to make sure we got the shot. We haven’t seen the photos or footage from the wedding day yet, but if they’re anything like the engagement photos, they’ll be excellent.     My fiancé and I met with one of George Street’s sales representatives, Brittany, to review photographers available for our wedding date. We specifically selected one photographer whose style we preferred, and Brittany confirmed that we could secure this photographer by moving forward. Prior to signing, she provided details about the photographer’s experience and explained the process to lock-in that photographer. Based on that information, we signed the contract and paid a 500 deposit. After signing, we were transferred to the Chicago coordination team (our main contact was Nora). When we followed up to confirm the photographer’s appearance in our client portal, we were told (about a week later after signing) that the photographer was no longer available. We were surprised, as this directly contradicted what we were told by sales. Nora then explained that the company is not responsible for any statements made by salespeople. Despite this, we decided to continue forward, and also asked for clarification about the cancellation policy. Nora stated: “as per our cancellation policy, since it has been more than 7 days since you booked with us, we will retain the 200 deposit and refund the remaining amount.” Two weeks later, we received a list of two available photographers. Nora confirmed in writing that she had personally verified their availability and that they were reserved for us in the system for 48 hours. Within that timeframe, we confirmed our choice. Shortly after, Courtney emailed us stating: “I’m happy to officially confirm that we are locking Nebojsa in for your big day on July 5, 2026.” We were relieved and excited to move forward. However, when we called a few days later to check on portal updates, Kate (a manager? overseeing the Chicago coordinators) informed us that the photographer was not available after all. She also stated that Courtney’s confirmation email should never have been sent and that Nora’s earlier explanation of the cancellation policy was also inaccurate. Kate specifically said that George Street is not responsible for the accuracy of the statements made by its salespeople or coordinators. At this point, our trust in George Street was irreparably damaged. Even if we chose another photographer, we had no confidence that the company would honor the selection. Given that available photographers reportedly had cancellation rates of around 10%, we felt we could not rely on the company for our wedding. We terminated our contract. Unfortunately, our experience with George Street Photo & Video has been one of repeated misrepresentation, lack of accountability, and internal miscommunication. We were given multiple written assurances that proved false, and company representatives have consistently disclaimed responsibility for their own employees’ statements. We cannot, in good conscience, recommend George Street to anyone seeking reliable, professional wedding services.

    My wife and I were married at Tom Hams a lighthouse on August 31st and we had Alex from George Street as our photographer. we wanted to take the time to come on a leave a review because we honestly couldn’t have been happier with the whole experience. Starting with the coordination back and forth with my mother in law to make sure that we ironed out the exact details of what we wanted and what we could afford. We ended up going with just one photographer and we were still treated with the utmost care and respect. Moving on to the actual day Alex was there nice and early and clearly knew the venue. He was so warm and welcoming that we immediately felt like we had known him for years. He became a part of the wedding and was running around to make sure he got every photo and angle he could. He even did some funny photos on the dance floor that everyone couldn’t wait to see. Within a few weeks the photos were out and we just adored every one. He really did capture such special memories. We would absolutely recommend Alex and George Street and hope they are able to take care of many other couples like they did for us!

    When I found Geroge Street and had our first meeting I knew this was who I was going to go with. They were able to answer all of my questions and were very transparent about their pricing. There was no hidden fees. They also worked with me on payment. Instead of 4 big payments they let me do monthly payments. Our photographer Scara was amazing. She made taking photos for hours a lot of fun. They turned out so good!! I cannot wait to get them printed out. Our wedding coordinator Nora was also a lot of help as well. Totally recommend George Street for your wedding photography.
