Steven Rosen Photography
Rating: 5.0 (42 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $2,500

I have been a photographer for the last 20 years, shooting weddings, elopements and portraits. I'm proud to have shot more than 150 same-sex weddings, which is probably more than, well, just about anyone. That said, I’ve worked with as many straight couples as LGBTQ ones. I don't discriminate. There are many other photographers whose work inspire me, but my primary inspiration comes from painters. Rembrandt, Vermeer, Sargent, to name a few.

Awarded Best of Zola
We had a great experience with Steven. He was not afraid to make decisions and he pushed us to think about exactly what shots we wanted leading up to the wedding. He was open to our ideas but also had great ideas of his own, including making some suggestions about the positioning of the ceremony that resulted in not only making the pictures better but made sure all our guests could see. He was punctual on the day of the wedding and took time to come out to our venue in advance of the wedding to see how we might optimize the photos. His assistant was also very helpful at our pre-ceremony shoot.

Tess and Julia Weddings
Rating: 5.0 (10 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $2,400

Our names are Tess Mayer & Julia Wang and we are photography duo based in NYC. We met our freshman year at NYU Tisch and since then have run a magazine together, worked as teaching assistants at ICP & NYU, and shot our first wedding our senior year. Our style is a blend of candid documentary and stylized portraiture - we approach your day not as strangers following you around, but as excited guests (who happen to be carrying around cameras and massive lenses) who will most likely cry during your vows. We love small, intimate and relaxed weddings.

Awarded Best of Zola
We hired Tess to photograph our wedding and the experience was wonderful! When choosing a wedding photographer, you’re choosing someone to spend the day with you at some of the most emotional moments of your wedding day. Tess was an amazing choice for that role. She was kind, easy-going, and became a great friend throughout the day. We met over FaceTime well before the wedding to communicate our photo goals. She asked us to curate a Pinterest board for her and to set some “must have” photos. In addition to standard photos, we also got film photos. Her style throughout the day was to be a “fly-on-the-wall” but to also intermittently direct us to make sure we got the photos we had asked her for. My husband, who’s not much of a “photos guy”, was so impressed when we received the results. We loved working with her!

Hello! I am a digital + film photographer based out of Brooklyn and am ready to shoot your wedding! I was introduced to photography via my grandpa's film camera over 10 years ago and have been in love with it since. Starting out as a street photographer, I've come to cover full weddings, city hall ceremonies, engagement shoots, and more. I have a passion for capturing special moments with an intimate feel. If that's something you're looking for, I am your photographer!

Ben photographed our engagement at Jane’s Carousel in Brooklyn and everything came out great! He was a very active communicator throughout the whole process, came with ideas for staging and poses, and delivered us the photos within a week, with previews coming in within days. We would absolutely recommend him for any engagement or wedding related photography.

Vik Photography
Rating: 5.0 (4 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Fine art style

Central to the art of capturing our most treasured moments in a non-manufactured fashion is the photographer’s ability to put his subject at ease. Vik approaches his work holistically with this in mind. His photography is unforced and confidently guided by his artistic vision, recognizing that more is at stake than a photograph. His sensitivities extend beyond lighting, pose, and composition, reaching deeper into mood, context, and flow.

Awarded Best of Zola
Vik was a pleasure to work with! We felt relaxed around him and his easygoing demeanor made us feel more natural when posing for photos. A big reason why we chose him was for his style—documentarian, intimate and not overly posed. He has a great eye and was able to capture so many beautiful, candid moments in our wedding. We're so happy with the photos and feel lucky to have had Vik document our day. Thank you!

Good Luck White Rabbit
Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $3,400

It started with a Polaroid. Since then, my work has moved through film, celebrity profiles, contemporary art, and editorial — imagery recognized across platforms, industries, and mediums. As founder of Good Luck White Rabbit (est. 2014), a creative consultancy built on the art of storytelling, it felt natural to extend that focus and my practice to weddings.

I am a wedding florist and have hired Kai for years to photograph my work. I get so many compliments on the photos from my website. Her work is exquisite and high quality and she is a gem of a person to work with. Hire her if you want your wedding photos to stand apart and look like a vogue spread.

PhotoDH
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $5,500

This isn’t about me loving coffee or early morning bike rides along the water, but it’s about capturing your special day and making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. I’ve always said that life is too short to not have it documented. It’s this philosophy that has propelled me into the world of photography. I am a fellow New Yorker who loves preserving timeless memories through photography. My photographic style is photojournalistic in the sense that all my photos build onto the next, creating a narrative story. I am here to provide you a rich and memorable experience, one that you cannot get anywhere else in the world.

I've had the pleasure of working with Jaymo of PhotoDH on multiple occasions. As a a peer and fellow wedding vendor, I've watched him and the PhotoDH team deliver an experience that truly delivers beyond any client expectations. Refined, intentional and detail-oriented are three adjectives that I would use to define the work that they do. He has been so kind to share galleries of past clients that we've shared. As a florist, photographs of details in the wedding are so integral in defining the over all creative direction, vision and distinctive story a client tells. He captures them all in multiple light settings, multiple angles and perspectives. After viewing his galleries, I realized nothing is overlooked which truly characterizes how much effort he and his team give to a clients wedding day. I cannot full heartedly recommend him enough.

Jenica Elena Studio
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $3,500

Hi, my name is Jenica! I'm a wedding photographer and filmmaker based in New York City. Equipped with a BFA degree in photography and documentary production, a few cameras, and an old station wagon, I drove cross country from Utah to New York City in 2010. I went back to school for my MFA in photography at Hartford Art School and graduated in 2020.

My husband and I often say that booking Jenica was the best decision we made for our wedding. She did our engagement photos, photography for our small Covid church wedding, and both photo and video for our delayed large wedding celebration. Each time we received work from her, I thought she couldn’t possibly top herself—but she always did!! Our photos from each event are somehow curated, bespoke, perfect, and bright—while also looking real and representative of us. I was so worried to have wedding photos that looked cheesy or that didn’t feel like me, like so many of my friends had. But somehow Jenica managed to capture the essence of our relationship and personalities to a tee, while also making it look like journalistic art! I am in love with all my photos and always will be; I know they will continue to look classic for years to come. Not to mention—Jenica and any team she brings along are always a delight to work with. When we parted ways after our third time working together, I truly felt we had built a friendship. She was a comforting presence to me on every big stressful day she photographed—I felt I could look to her for leveling and support. Through many adjusted timelines and events, she was always flexible and kind in a sea of pandemic wedding planning chaos. I could not recommend Jenica more highly to anyone who is considering—I continue to recommend her to all my friends and hope to continue to work with her for years to come!

Susan Stripling Photography
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $4,700

To the point : I love my job. I am honored to document love in all forms, I take it seriously and with great respect. I'm Brooklyn-based, love horror movies and my dog, and would love to be your wedding photographer.

Unique, breathtaking photos from a passionate, delightful artist. We LOVE Susan’s style: dramatic, ephemeral, and so playful. As creatives ourselves, we wanted a photographer who did more than just capture our wedding; she made ART that is timeless and unforgettable. But don’t be intimidated, she’s one of the most down-to-earth, easygoing, and delightful people I’ve ever met. We had so much fun with her and were honored to have her as our photographer.

Hilo & Ginger
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
Brooklyn, NY
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $6,000

Hilo & Ginger was founded by me in 2013. Born in Austria and raised around the world, the traveling gene has been soever present. I am based in New York City, shooting weddings & editorials worldwide.

Luca, at Hilo & Ginger, was an absolute gem to work with! You will not find a more versatile, go-with-the-flow, able to adapt to anything photographer. She is professional, hard-working and personable which really puts you at ease while you are posing and standing for tons of pictures throughout the day. Sometimes we didn't even know she was there capturing the greatest candid shot. Seriously, we cannot recommend her enough. The last thing you want on your wedding day is to feel stressed and Luca makes sure to alleviate any potential stress, while staying on top of her A game with every shot!! Luca never missed a single moment- not one. She captured moments that we didn't even know had existed, until we were looking over our photos together. She perfectly captured all the joy of our day in laughing candids, funny photos and still took some of the most gorgeous and breathtaking shots I've ever seen. Did I mention she did the entire shoot in the rain in freezing cold weather? Not once did she complain and the photos she took came out stunning. She was ready to work on the fly in any environment. Like I said, a no-stress wedding photographer is absolutely a MUST when it comes to weddings ladies, trust me! When my husband, James, and I got married in NYC, we were very worried that we would not be able to find a quality photographer in Manhattan that would fit our limited budget, but Luca exceeded our expectations in giving us a great deal that fit right within our budget and she gave us GORGEOUS photos. Not to mention she sent us some of the edited photos the same day...THE SAME DAY. I'm telling you, working with Luca was unlike any other experience I've had, witnessed at other weddings, or heard of from my friends. 10/10 would recommend. You would be foolish not to consider hiring Hilo & Ginger to make your wedding dreams come true.

Lindsay and Nathan were absolutely fantastic! We are not naturally photogenic people, but they made us feel so comfortable and confident in front of the camera. From start to finish, they were a dream to work with — super easy to get in touch with and always responded right away. We got 100 sneak peeks the very next day, which completely blew us away — and every single photo was stunning. Our friends and family can’t believe the incredible shots they captured and how organized and calm they were throughout the day. They truly handled everything on the wedding day and took so much stress off of us. We didn’t have to worry about a thing — they kept everything running smoothly and made the whole experience enjoyable. It was also such a huge plus that they handle both photography and videography! Our engagement session with Lindsay was also such a great experience and made us feel even more comfortable leading up to the wedding. The photos turned out beautifully, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Highly recommend Lindsay and Nathan to anyone looking for a talented, organized, and genuinely wonderful photo and video team!

Hello, my name is Julia. I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based in Upstate New York, capturing love stories in a soft, natural and timeless way. Before photography became my full-time path, I studied architecture, which taught me to notice harmony in lines, balance in space and the quiet beauty of natural light. My approach is a mix of gentle guidance and documentary storytelling. I’ll guide you when needed, but I also give you space to be yourselves, so your photos feel real, relaxed and true to you.

Awarded Best of Zola
We are absolutely thrilled with our engagement photos, all thanks to Julia! From the moment we first connected, she took the time to really understand who we are as a couple and what mattered most to us. She didn’t just show up with a camera—she showed up with intention, creativity, and a genuine desire to make the experience personal and meaningful. Julia tailored everything to our preferences—from the location to the vibe we were going for—and she made us feel completely at ease throughout the entire shoot. It felt more like a fun adventure than a photo session, and the result was a collection of images that truly reflect us. Every photo feels natural, romantic, and full of joy. We’re beyond grateful for Julia’s talent, warmth, and the effort she put into making this such a memorable experience. If you’re looking for someone who blends professionalism with heart, and who will go above and beyond to customize your shoot, Julia is your person. We can’t recommend her enough!

Hey! I'm Jess, the owner of the company that's named after me - shocking, right? I'm from the suburbs of Philly but now live up in the mountains of Northeast PA in Montrose, right on the border of Central NY. I'm married to a woodworker (who HAD to be the inspiration behind Ron Swanson because they're the same human), we live on 25 acres with three huge dogs (2 Golden Retrievers and one Great Pyrenees) and three ducks - and I'm constantly begging for more animals. I'm outgoing, sarcastic & humorous, and I love organization/cleaning, sushi, reading, The Office, and traveling everywhere I can.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jess was such a pleasure to work with! She was super communicative through the whole process and captured our wedding absolutely perfectly! She worked with us to set a realistic timeline to make sure we got our “must have” photos as well as some that we didn’t think of. The photos turned out beautifully, and we got them early! All of the candids of our family and friends were such fun to see! Book Jess now!

I cannot express how amazing Angela was. She has not only a super warm personality. But also an amazing work ethic. I got the package for two photographers and they were both phenomenal. While I was getting ready(we are running about 30 minutes late) she was out taking photos of the venue, the lay flat photos, and the other details pictures. She even held onto our rings for me because the bridal suite was a wreck and I didn’t wanna lose them. All in all my experience with her was a 12/10 experience. She was one of the people who made my wedding less stressful!

Jenny Flora Photography
Rating: 5.0 (13 reviews)

Before I ever held a camera, as a kid I was obsessed with organizing and reorganizing printed family snapshots in albums. This infatuation with captured moments, led to picking out my first film camera, a 35mm Pentax, film developing and darkroom printing in high school, and then my BFA in Photography Degree. From there, I worked in varied sectors of photography, but my true passion lay in documentary work that could bring about awareness of challenging global situations. I have published and exhibited journalistic series internationally, notably at Oxford University and Aperture Foundation.

From our first call with Jenny Flora Photography, we knew we were in good hands. They were highly professional, attentive, and on top of every detail throughout the planning process. On the day of our wedding, the photographers provided wonderful guidance and captured so many great moments that we will cherish forever. The quality of their work is truly outstanding, and we are thrilled with the beautiful memories they helped create for us. We cannot recommend Jenny Flora Photography enough to any couple looking for an exceptional wedding photography experience.
