Hello, my name is Julia. I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based in Upstate New York, capturing love stories in a soft, natural and timeless way. Before photography became my full-time path, I studied architecture, which taught me to notice harmony in lines, balance in space and the quiet beauty of natural light. My approach is a mix of gentle guidance and documentary storytelling. I’ll guide you when needed, but I also give you space to be yourselves, so your photos feel real, relaxed and true to you.

I’m inspired by simple, beautiful things - soft light, blooming gardens, quiet moments and genuine connection between people. To me, photography is not just about how everything looks, but how it feels. My hope is that when you look back at your photos years from now, you’ll be able to feel those moments all over again.

    Beautiful photos, wonderful experience

    Julia and her assistant Leo photographed my June wedding in Ithaca, and the two of them did an absolutely wonderful job. Julia is extremely professional, kind, friendly, and experienced. She directed my husband and me, our friends, and family in all of our photos, always helping us to look our best. Julia prepared a sneak preview with around 60 of our wedding photos after just one week, and they were all stunning! The full portfolio was ready just a few weeks later, and we couldn't be happier with how they turned out. Aside from the beautiful photography, Julia brought a warm, comforting, and celebratory atmosphere to our wedding day and we couldn't recommend her more.

    Engagement photos

    We found Julia through Zola and we are so grateful to have found her (and Leo)! She is always promptly responsive, clear and thorough in her communication. We were nervous about having our first professional photo shoot but she was awesome in directing us in what to do. She made the whole process super easy. And most importantly, the photos! Needless to say, I am OBSESSED. You can tell how passionate she is about her work and she really takes her time. We are so lucky to have her shoot both our engagement photos and wedding. I cannot say enough positive things.

    WOW Julia!!! Thank you SO much for capturing our wedding so beautifully. The photos are absolutely stunning, exactly what we hoped for. We’ve already looked through them so many times and honestly could not be happier. Both Nicholas and I got emotional looking through the photos, especially the moments before the ceremony. Then we showed them to our families, and everyone was tearing up. I was a little nervous about having such intimate moments photographed, but you captured everything in such a natural and beautiful way, and now those memories feel frozen in time forever.     Deeply personal wedding photography

    Julia photographed our wedding in Skaneateles at the beginning of July last year, and we honestly couldn’t be happier.     Wonderful wedding photographer!

    We had a small, intimate wedding ceremony near Taughannock Falls, and Julia was such a wonderful photographer to work with. She gave us helpful recommendations before the day, which made everything feel much easier and more relaxed. During the ceremony, she was calm, kind, and easy to be around. She captured the beauty of the location, the natural moments, and all the emotions without making anything feel forced.

Couples usually book me about 14 months in advance, especially for popular dates. But you’re always welcome to reach out—even if your wedding is sooner! I’m happy to check my availability, and sometimes I do have openings for closer dates too.
Sometimes I’ll bring along a second photographer, especially for weddings that are 6 hours or longer. For full-day packages, a second photographer is already included in the pricing—so there’s no extra cost. Having a second pair of eyes helps us capture even more meaningful moments from different angles, and ensures nothing gets missed.
Absolutely! All final images you receive will be fully edited for color, light, and overall consistency to make sure they look beautiful and true to your day.
