Hi, I’m Julia, a wedding and portrait photographer based in Ithaca, New York, serving the Finger Lakes, Upstate New York, and beyond. With over a decade of experience, I create soft, refined imagery with a timeless editorial feel. My wedding photography has been published in The New York Times.
What sets my work apart is the balance of thoughtful direction and real emotion. My background in architecture shapes how I see light, composition, and space, while my calm approach helps couples feel relaxed, natural, and fully present. Best Wedding Photographer
Julia was absolutely the best wedding photographer we could have ever asked for. I cannot speak highly enough about her warmth, creativity, and professionalism. She was always extremely responsive and reassuring throughout the planning process and immediately put us at ease on our wedding day! She guided us patiently and kindly through poses - we are usually awkward in front of a camera, but she created poses and sequences that felt so natural, easy, and fun. Doing photos with her and her assistant photographer was one of the parts of our wedding day where we truly felt relaxed and like ourselves! Her joy and passion for her work are obvious. Booking her was the best decision we made in our wedding planning.

Beautiful photos, wonderful experience
Julia and her assistant Leo photographed my June wedding in Ithaca, and the two of them did an absolutely wonderful job. Julia is extremely professional, kind, friendly, and experienced. She directed my husband and me, our friends, and family in all of our photos, always helping us to look our best. Julia prepared a sneak preview with around 60 of our wedding photos after just one week, and they were all stunning! The full portfolio was ready just a few weeks later, and we couldn't be happier with how they turned out. Aside from the beautiful photography, Julia brought a warm, comforting, and celebratory atmosphere to our wedding day and we couldn't recommend her more.

Engagement photos
We found Julia through Zola and we are so grateful to have found her (and Leo)! She is always promptly responsive, clear and thorough in her communication. We were nervous about having our first professional photo shoot but she was awesome in directing us in what to do. She made the whole process super easy. And most importantly, the photos! Needless to say, I am OBSESSED. You can tell how passionate she is about her work and she really takes her time. We are so lucky to have her shoot both our engagement photos and wedding. I cannot say enough positive things.

WOW Julia!!! Thank you SO much for capturing our wedding so beautifully. The photos are absolutely stunning, exactly what we hoped for. We’ve already looked through them so many times and honestly could not be happier. Both Nicholas and I got emotional looking through the photos, especially the moments before the ceremony. Then we showed them to our families, and everyone was tearing up. I was a little nervous about having such intimate moments photographed, but you captured everything in such a natural and beautiful way, and now those memories feel frozen in time forever. Deeply personal wedding photography
Julia photographed our wedding in Skaneateles at the beginning of July last year, and we honestly couldn’t be happier.
