“Purslane was a dream to work with, and we could not have imagined a more perfect caterer for our wedding. The food was to die for. So many of our guests told us it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding—and we agree! Choosing all the food was so fun and easy, and our event manager at Purslane walked us through all our options, pointing out favorites and making accommodations to let us choose something off the standard family-style menu as well (highly recommend the short ribs with polenta!). We also had some dietary restrictions—one we were made aware of just two weeks before the wedding—and they ensured all guests had delicious options to meet all restrictions. All communication for our venue was done through Purslane too, and they helped us arrange all the rentals, create the run of show, and ensure the night ran along as planned, which it did! They went above and beyond every step of the way. They helped us figure out how to move our cocktail hour to a new space within the venue when a new exhibit went up a few weeks before our wedding that wasn't very well suited to a wedding environment. The waitstaff was so kind and made sure we always had a drink in hand, had our coats ready for us at the end of the night, and even set aside a plate of appetizers for us to be sure we could both greet all our guests and eat all our apps. Overall 10/10, we would highly recommend booking Purslane for a truly seamless night with insanely delicious food.”

“As soon as we visited On the Marc for our food tasting, we knew that the food would be fantastic—and more on that in a minute—but OTM really set itself apart with the service. They greeted our guests with flavored waters when they arrived (hugely helpful for a mid-summer wedding), had servers ready with drinks and food as soon as cocktail hour started, prepared an appetizer platter for a quick private moment as newlyweds, and much much more. A few things stick out over all though: first, the servers were so attentive that they realized a friend of mine was absolutely smashing one of the appetizers and kept bringing those to her (even learning to take the mint leaf off as she did). Second, they rolled with the punches as we realized we may have screwed up some food placards, accommodating our request to check with each guest to make sure we had it right. Third, they had servers march out all at the same time to bring courses during dinner services, a super-professional touch which gave the service a white-glove-service feel. The food was delicious, and everyone kept commenting on it (even on the dance floor where they brought desserts!!). Overall, the food was amazing, the only thing better than the food was the service, and we highly recommend OTM to anyone considering them!”

And Pinch was able to do this in a way that felt authentic to us and created a menu that was balanced and complementary (pani puri and Biryani Arancini for example) - Innovative: Pinch's pop-ups during cocktail hour and dessert are very unique and were naturally a point of conversation for our guests. Award-wining Chef Alain Lemaire is a native of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, where he first discovered his interest in cooking. That interest in food grew out of the need to feed himself what he wanted, and when he wanted it by watching his mother and grandmother in the kitchen, to full blown passion by the time he graduated. Chef Lemaire has featured on several TV shows: he was the host chef of the “Taste of Haiti” episode of the "Luda Can't Cook" series on Discovery+ with award winning rapper, actor, restauranteur Chris "Ludacris" Bridges. He is also a contestant of the Food Network's hit series, Fire Masters, Cutthroat Kitchen, and Chopped.
