    It started out sweet until the event day. Arlethea seemed very nice, professional, and accommodating as she took my payments every month. Then when it was time for the most important day of my life she was basically nonexistent. I can relate to the review left by someone in November 2024. Arlethea definitely overpromised and under delivered. Her team showed up almost 2 hours late to my wedding and because of this my guests didn’t have cocktail hour. This caterer was supposed to design/decorate and serve for my cocktail hour and none of that was done. By the time her team got to my wedding they had to rush to throw food together for my reception which started late. Then she swapped out food on my menu without discussing with me, my husband, or my coordinator. My guests complained about the quality of the food to my wedding coordinator and how there wasn’t even water on the tables to drink. Arlethea, when she did show up left before the reception even started. I hired her to cater for 80 people. I ended up only having 57 guests. She told me all left over food my husband and I could take with us. Instead, her staff took my food, ate my wedding cake. My package also included designated servers for the sweetheart table which we didn’t have. Instead she had her daughter which I paid to bartend to fix our plates and sit it at the sweetheart table to never come back to check if we needed anything else because she was busy bartending. She refuses to reimburse me anything. Won’t respond to emails and this has just become a catering nightmare. You do not want this kind of service for your wedding day or any important event you want quality catering. (My apologies for the run-on sentences. I’m just that upset)

    This team was incredible and easy to work with! We had a great experience from start to finish planning our menu, and they offered a ton of different meal options for us to choose from. They really paid attention to every detail we asked for, from the dessert table down to the food allergies that some of our guests had, and they made sure that on the big day, everyone left with full belly's and smiles on their faces. Our dessert table looked awesome with all of the different treats, and the late night snack was the cherry on top of the perfect day (the burger sliders and chicken sliders were incredible). Each of the team members was so kind, accommodating and professional on our wedding day. All of our guests also raved about the appetizers during cocktail hour. Could not recommend this company more. They are the real deal and are so professional, ensuring that you’ll have yummy food, great service and an all-around awesome time.

    Simply Delicious Dishes was an excellent choice for our wedding catering. The communication with their team was excellent throughout the planning process - they were very responsive and helpful in answering all of our questions. On the day of the wedding, they worked very well together and were great with the set up and organization. The food was excellent, and all of our guests were very, very happy with the quality and selection. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure everything ran smoothly. They were on time and had all the proper equipment to execute the event flawlessly. Simply Delicious Dishes truly contributed to making our special day perfect.

    Please check all the 1 star reviews. I wish I did. Store bought food, frozen vegetables and potatoes, didn't bring any utensils, couldn't heat the food and needed help from the host...the list is endless. The attached picture says it all! After admitting to throwing our food out 5 hours before dinner was supposed to be served, the staff showed up two hours late (15 minutes before my guest arrived) and left two hours early. My MC was very confused, when dinner was served 90 minutes earlier than scheduled. And dessert was served 2.5 hours before it was originally scheduled. I should add that dessert was also purchased from ShopRite, because the staff forgot that they were serving dessert. They left our event in the middle to go obtain ShopRite pies and cupcakes. Needless to say, I have tried discussing this with Arlethea, and she’s refusing to believe that any of this is her fault. Which is unsurprising since she herself showed up to the event an hour and a half after guests arrived, although I was hoping to handle this in small claims court, at Arlethea’s suggestion, I have since been informed by my attorney that the damages are significantly more than what is allowed in small claims court. Arlethea will claim this is false and untrue. I have 4 hours of security footage that confirms otherwise.
