Food in Motion was founded by Lloyd Zimet and Michelle Lovelace with a specific vision in mind: bring an artisanal outlook to cooking for large and small groups. Ever since, we have been committed to providing brilliant food, service, production and décor.

We source the finest ingredients and use local and sustainable farms whenever possible. Our staff is trained to deliver efficient, friendly, and respectful service. We work to meet each request from our clients, taking the time and making the effort to individualize our services as needed. Whether executing an intimate VIP dinner party or a large gala we strive to make the experience feel handcrafted and as appealing as the finest of any New York restaurant.

Yes, we charge a standard fee for delivery within a 2hr drive.
Yes, our event minimum is $5000 for all weddings.
Yes, we offer tastings for you and a guest for a small fee. If you move forward with us, the fee is credited towards your final invoice.
We recommend meeting at least 2 more times after your tasting. One meeting will focus on finalizing menus and headcount. One to go over final venue and wedding logistics. BUT - we love speaking with our clients and make ourselves available to meet as often as you'd like!
We are full service. We will take you on a walk-through of available rentals and work with you to craft your dream vision while ensuring we remain within your budget.
For summer and fall weddings, we recommend at least 8 months in advance.
We serve within a 3.5hr drive from our home-base located in downtown Manhattan!
We can flex to meet any and all dietary restrictions.
