Q: Do you have a minimum for weddings?

Our traditional reception package has a 50 guest minimum, the other reception packages have 75 guest minimum. We can accommodate under the guest minimum for a fee that ranges depending on how far under. Inquire with your headcount and we would be happy to help you.

Q: Do you offer tastings?

Yes, a private menu tasting is included with your reception package. At this tasting we would show linen swatch colors, go over timelines, layouts, decor, and other wedding details. We also offer pre-booking menu tastings for $25 pp, once booked your tasting fee will be credited back towards your balance.

Q: Do you offer help with rentals?

We can help take some of the weight off your shoulders by coordinating your rentals for you with a 15% handling fee. We work with many rental companies with tents, dance floors, tables, chairs, portable bars, lighting, luxury bathrooms, and so much more.

Q: How far out do you recommend booking your services?

For summer and fall weddings, we recommend at least 8 months in advance. April-November is peak wedding season, Saturdays are the first to book up. Call today for date availability.

Q: What is your service area?

We cater all over New Jersey, anywhere that allows outside catering.

Q: Do you offer cake cutting services?

Cake cutting can be added on for $2.00 pp. That charge would include a cake plate, cake fork, and the service to cut.

Q: What is included in your reception packages?

Our reception packages are inclusive of staff, china dinner plates, water glass, champagne glass, flatware, china coffee mug, and linens with your choice of color. It also includes private menu tasting, event coordination, and Maitre D on site.

Q: Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes, as long as we're notified in advance we can accommodate guest dietary restrictions/allergies.

Q: Do you offer children's meals?

Yes, children under 10 are $39.99 and will have chicken fingers with macaroni and cheese brought directly to their table.

Q: When is our final headcount due?

We need all finals 2 weeks prior to your date.

We used Shore catering for our backyard wedding on 9/7. Let me just say - if you aren't sure who to go with for a catering company in NJ, go with Shore Catering!! Best customer service (I had the pleasure of working with Summer for my wedding - she was so helpful and the best whenever I had questions). They arranged the tents and table set up - we did the Clam Bake - had filet and lobsters and everyone couldn't stop raving about how good the food was. The caters were so happy to be there and were never in the way. Great experience!!

We had a wedding at Paterson's Farm in Howell NJ this past September. The location was perfect but required us to search for a caterer. The owners of Paterson's Farms, Sharon and her brother Alan recommended Shore Catering as one of their favorites, among a handful of worthy options. I personally spoke with a few and decided on Shore. What a great decision as they were perfect in all areas (food, service, flexibility, experience) and thoroughly exceeded all our expectations. We dealt with Patty (the founder) and Bryan the current owner, and they both made it happen with great communication and exemplary service. We had 173 guests, and they delivered on delicious appy's, and then plated dinners for all our guests. Maria was there to ensure everything went well, and the feedback from our guests has been amazing. In fact the owner, Bryan showed up as well to make sure the plated meals (which was important to us) were delivered to our guests as expected. I highly recommend Shore for any party you might be planning. You will not be disappointed! 5 Stars!

We are beyond grateful to Shore Catering for helping make our wedding day so special. From the first tasting to the final bite on our big day, everything was absolutely perfect! Working with Summer, Maria, Brian and the entire Shore Catering team was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Summer always took the time to answer all of our (many!) questions and never made us feel like an inconvenience or like we were being rushed, which meant the world to me. One of the things that impressed us most was how thoughtful and gracious the entire catering team was. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the care and attention they gave to every single guest was outstanding. We had several dietary restrictions to accommodate, including gluten-free, vegan, and a few food allergies, and they handled it all seamlessly. Every guest felt considered and taken care of, and no one had to miss out on an amazing meal. What meant the most to us was how the staff went out of their way to make sure my husband and I actually had time to eat during the whirlwind of the day. They personally brought us plates and checked in on us to ensure we were fed and hydrated — something that’s so easy to forget in all the chaos, but so important. We received so many compliments on the food, from the flavorful appetizers to the beautifully presented entrees and desserts. The entire team was professional, warm, and truly went above and beyond. If you’re looking for a caterer who delivers both exceptional food and heartfelt service, look no further. We can’t recommend Shore Catering enough!

I was the DJ at a wedding where Shore Catering did the event. The staff was on top of their game making sure their client needs were met. The staff had a great time as well even dancing with the guests at the end of the night when they had down time. It seemed to me that the entire wedding was a huge success and Shore Catering made sure that was the case
