My wife and I got married in October 2025 at Farm to People in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Music is very important to me and I cared a lot about our choice of DJ, and consequently met with a lot of different DJ services. It was immediately clear that NT DJs would be our choice once I met with them. Nico and Ben both convey high levels of competence and professionalism while retaining the feeling of a business owned and operated by real people, and importantly real people who genuinely care about your wedding and experience. When I think wedding DJ, my mind, and I think many people's, first goes to "what music is being played during the reception when everyone is on the dance floor?" You'll actually work with your DJ for way more than that - ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and maybe more depending on your special day. Nico was not only great at that first, narrow idea of a DJ, but he was consistently awesome for every part of our wedding day. Whether he was determining what part of the evening music should be played, mixing and sequencing, or picking music that 'rhymed' with the rest of our selections, I felt very comfortable and at ease knowing he would crush it (and he did). Importantly, we are low-key and understated people and wanted our DJ to reflect that - we wanted to skip the common DJ-as-Hypeman setup that usually includes yelling into the microphone for folks to "get out on the dancefloor." Nico worked with us to understand how we wanted announcements and intro's to go and was happy to customize to our preferences. Everything was so smooth. Let me get my one gripe out of the way at the top here: I’m pretty sure the only reason my now husband agreed to a wedding celebration was to hire The Hook Club after seeing them at a friend’s wedding before we met. It was the only part of the wedding planning process he felt truly passionate about from the jump – we knew we wanted them before we even had a venue or date and went so far as to clear our potential dates with them before booking anything else. Fast forward, and Dan made the band planning process so supported and seamless that my husband’s one job went off without a hitch. The problem? Despite me planning every other single little detail of our three-day wedding weekend, the first thing that every single guest complimented (and still raves above, 1 month later) was THE BAND! But in truth, we wouldn’t have it any other way. We are absolutely ecstatic with our choice of hiring The Hook Club for our wedding. We did acoustic guitars for the ceremony, sax and tracks for cocktail and band and DJ for reception. THC was outstanding to work with from the jump. Dan is a wealth of knowledge and organization, and brings a calm, cool, collected vibe through every step of the planning process. Not to mention, he’s a great musician who can come discuss timeline with you while also playing the base day of :D. The process THC uses to help plan is smooth and clear. The communication was great throughout – we knew what to expect from the first planning call all the way up to some adhoc timeline changes day of. The band has an extensive repertoire and was able to take in our song, vibe, and timeline requests while also using their extensive experience to guide us along the way. The music carried the vibe throughout the day – from guitars at the ceremony to sax and tracks leading through cocktail hour and a mix of dance sets, slow dances, and expert MC’ing on the dance floor, we couldn’t get enough. So much so, that we extended the end time of the event just to have more fun on the dance floor with THC! Everyone was so nice, supportive, energetic and just brought their outstandingly talented A game and the absolute best vibe. The band got out on the dance floor with us, led us in call and response and a little choreographed proud Mary moment. Our first dance song is not a very common song, not only did THC learn it for us, but they provided us a track of their composition beforehand so we could practice the dance. You’ll see in the pictures my face when I first heard them play it – completely awestruck! That was pretty much my inner face the entire rest of the night in their presence. I have so many fond memories of engaging with THC throughout our wedding. If I could do it again, I’d hire THC without a second thought.”

“I was blown away by the talent of the musicians, they really take their craft seriously. I requested a Roaring Twenties theme from Louis Pettinelli and they went above and beyond to make it happen. The singer Karlea was phenomenal and did an amazing job of keeping our guests engaged and entertained. The musicians were all courteous, professional, and exceptionally talented. They dressed appropriately for our wedding theme and many of the guests at the Hawthorne Hotel wanted to take pictures with Karlea in her Twenties attire. In addition to being a wonderful experience, they were also a great value for the price. These are top quality musicians and we paid a reasonable price for the band. I highly recommend this group for your wedding.”
