Q: What is the same about the DJs?

Our DJs are music lovers known for their low-key, non-flashy vibe and providing our clients with a highly customizable music program.

Q: What is the difference between the pricing tiers?

Rates are tiered based on factors such as the DJ’s wedding experience, tenure with the agency, demand, and home market.

Q: Do the DJs mix live?

Yes. Exceptions include using auto mix for short breaks or when the DJ is organizing wedding party introductions. For single-speaker setups in potentially tight spaces, such as a separate Cocktail Hour, the DJ may opt to play a pre-made playlist from a device.

Q: Will the DJ make announcements?

Yes, they do not bring a separate MC.

Q: Can we give the DJ a must play/do not play list?

This is strongly encouraged, and we will ask for some of your favorite bands and genres and those your guests may enjoy. Otherwise, you may have as much or as little control over the song pool as you like, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Q: Is it possible to book the Basic Package now, and add hours, speakers or services later?

Absolutely! We only book one event per DJ per day, and are happy to accommodate post-contract changes up to 30 days before the event.

Q: May we speak with our potential DJ before deciding?

Yes! This is encouraged, once a scope of work has been established, a quote has been provided, and you have reviewed a sample contract.

Q: Do the DJs have liability insurance?

Yes, and they will provide proof for your venue on request.

Q: What is your reservation and payment policy?

A non-refundable Reservation Fee, calculated at 30% of the minimum charge (regardless of the total cost), is required to secure the date. The remainder, the Performance Fee, is due in two installments 60 days and 30 days before the Event. Credit cards may be used for the Reservation Fee only.

Q: Are we supposed to tip the DJ?

Gratuities are always appreciated by our DJs, who are independent contractors.

Stylus was amazing and we LOVED DJ Brickhouse!
Stylus DJ Entertainment was incredible and so easy to work with! From the beginning we knew we wanted to have a woman DJ and a DJ who would lead the night, but also kind of go with the flow and be chill. We had DJ Brickhouse at our wedding in Philly at the Crystal Tea Room and she was awesome! We had a pre-made playlist made and DJ Brickhouse did an awesome job at including our must plays and adding her own choices based on our playlist. The ceremony music was perfect as was cocktail hour and dinner. We were dancing all night during the reception and we almost didn’t eat our dinner because we were having so much fun on the dance floor! All our guests kept saying (and keep saying) it was banger after banger on the dance floor and that is exactly the vibe we wanted. DJ Brickhouse also had a photobooth that we used for a very reasonable price and her co-workers were wonderful too! Cannot recommend enough!

DJ Zach was amazing!!!!!
We had DJ Zach Kerns at our wedding and he was absolutely INCREDIBLE! The dance floor was packed all night and we got tons of compliments on him!!! I am a bit of a self proclaimed ‘music snob’ and I had a LOT on my ‘do not play’ list and a LOT of silly details about how I wanted music to be played lol!!! My list of music requests was obnoxiously long and could probably have filled up like 5 whole weddings xD Zach was literally so kind, understanding, patient with me and took all of my insane requests into consideration - and was able to navigate my excel sheet of like 18384746627281 songs with ease!!! I couldn’t have imagined the night going any better than it did. He did a perfect job. Also giant shoutout to Jane for doing all of the coordinating for our big day and for suggesting Zach as one of the DJ options after our first meeting. I loved the Stylus website because you could easily listen through mixes from the other DJs to see who would fit your style.

Not just a vendor, a partner!
We worked with DJ Jim for our NYC wedding and we're so glad we did! His and Jane's communication was prompt and thorough from the jump. We didn't work with a planner, and Jim was incredibly helpful in building out a reception timeline with us. He kept the dance floor PACKED all night and went above and beyond to make sure our night felt complete. Incredible DJ Entertainment and Energy
We are so happy we decided to go with DJ Jane from Stylus DJ Entertainment for our special day! They had excellent communication from the beginning to end, and provided thorough attention to detail that perfectly captured our song style in their performance. DJ Jane kept a positive and uplifting energy the entire night, and our guests were so delighted with their performance. DJ Jane kept the dance floor packed and grooving all evening long. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ to make our wedding celebration so memorable!

DJ Karin was awesome!
I loved working with Stylus DJ for my wedding. Jane and DJ Karin were so knowledgeable and helped answer all of my questions. DJ Karin put together the perfect mix of all of our favorite music. DJs don’t take sick days, but in case of an emergency with advance notice, we would do our best to find a replacement, and your timeline and music organizer in Google Drive would be available to them.

Yes – and we ask that you please be mindful of when and where vendor meals are served, so that the DJ, photographer, and videographer can eat before the main dance set starts and at a time that doesn’t conflict with any milestone moments.

Most will require a table for the main Reception space, and some will also require tables for separate Ceremony and Cocktail Hour setups.
