I was originally paired with a coordinator who was not as proactive/did not project confidence and ability to guide. Mostest was super accommodating with getting me reassigned, replacing my original planner with Lanise within a day of me contacting them. Everything was smooth sailing from there on out! If you’re in Houston I highly recommend Lanise as a month-of coordinator! She consistently went above and beyond leading up to and on the day of my wedding. She is professional, organized, confident, and creative. I am a very Type A person, so it was important to me to have someone I could really trust with the details. Lanise sent detailed recaps with action items after each of our weekly meetings, was available over text when I had questions, smoothly handled vendor communications and even some family coordination for speeches, conducted venue visits, and did an AMAZING job decorating and keeping things moving on the day of. I came in with a pretty detailed vision and provided mockups of my table settings and special decor, but Lanise truly understood the assignment and executed it with such care and precision. I was blown away when I walked into the venue. She did not miss a detail! She was also just a fun and reliable presence throughout the night and even took what ended up being some of our favorite photos for us on her phone. Highly recommend!!!

We couldn't have made a better choice in using Heirloom Event Company to help us plan our wedding. Our planning timeline was only about 5 months, My husband and I lived in different countries and had to deal with the added stress of immigration visas on top of wedding planning. We wanted a planner who would understand our needs and someone we could trust to listen to our vision for the day and make it happen. Haylie was so easy to work with, always on top of deadlines and keeping us on track in the all stages of planning. She listened to our ideas and dreams and found vendors that suited and fit within budget. She found us an amazing coffee cart vendor after i said coffee would be awesome to have. We dreamed of it being a fairytale/ hobbiton vibes in the music, she found us a music duo who hit the brief perfectly. She helped us surprise each other the morning of and throughout the day. She communicated with vendors, understood the fine print in the contracts and would let us know what our responsibility was. She was so supportive throughout the whole planning stage, any questions we had she answered and even after the wedding, answering questions that only come up after the event has happened. Haylie was intentional, thoughtful and she helped us be at ease leading up to the wedding and day of. With family travelling from outside of the country, she made a simple document we could give to them to have all the info needed so they didn't ask us the day of. It’s hard to find the words to properly express how much my (now) husband and I enjoyed working with Shamecha and her amazing team. We’ve actually tried thinking of other ways we could possibly work with her again, as our calls and meetings brought so much excitement. From beginning to end, the planning process was extremely pleasant and our wedding day so special. The weather the day of left much to be desired, but there was such a sense of calm knowing everything was in such capable hands. Jaylynn is the most incredible wedding planner and person. Jaylynn truly is a professional, an artist, a visionary, and expert in all things wedding. She was truly the best decision that we made in the wedding planning. If you don't read any further than this, just know that you need to hire her for your wedding. In our early planning phases, we thought we could do it alone. But we quickly became stressed and overwhelmed with so many options and open questions. We interviewed Jaylynn and immediately fell in love with her warm and positive energy. It was an easy decision. Within a few months of working with Jaylynn, we found all of our amazing vendors. Our DJ, photo booth, hairstylist and baker came from Jaylynn. On our own, it would have taken months to find. With Jaylynn, it was a breeze. She introduced us to DJ Miss Haze, who is the most incredible DJ, and Nicole Bendig-Lamb, who made the most delicious cake. She also introduced us to Guiding Mountain Lion Dance, who gave us an unforgettable performance. These vendors were not only great at their craft, but also wonderful and kind people. Leading up to the wedding, Jaylynn resolved so many problems for us. The week of our wedding, a huge snow storm hit Colorado. She sprang into action, helping us to redo our timeline. We had to cancel our rehearsal dinner, so she helped us rehearse the day of the wedding, and got us into top shape in less than thirty minutes. We had an issue with a hairstylist, and she was able to talk to them and help us get a refund in less than 12 hours. The wedding day was perfect. Her team decorated the venue with so much eye for detail. She also designed our wedding website, signage, and much of our decor, and it was exactly what we wanted. The wedding day was perfectly smooth, despite the snow. It was such a joyful, perfect day. Many of my friends and family remarked on how incredible Jaylynn and her team were. My husband and I are so beyond pleased with our experience working with TGT. We got married in Nashville, TN this October and began planning about a year in advance from our home in Brooklyn, NY. As we dove deeper into how much of an undertaking this may actually be, we searched for assistance and came upon The Get Together. After our initial call with Lauren, we knew we absolutely would be working together. The business model of month-of-planning-agency is brilliant. It allowed me to pull together all of my big picture plans in advance and with TGT's help to hone everything into realistic expectations in the home stretch - we were able to pull off our dream wedding - within budget! Nothing but positive things to say about the entire team. Their organization, communication, direction, and expertise truly got us through the finish line with flying colors! As a queer couple from the South, we were made to feel extremely comfortable and supported from day one. Major shoutout to Jess, our on-site coordinator for day of - absolutely crushed. We first learned about Oso Events in the summer of 2022 while remotely planning our California wedding from the East Coast. From the very first introductory call, they blew us away with their professionalism, punctuality, warmth, organization, and excellence. Without them, our wedding would not have been nearly as amazing as it was! They found us fantastic vendors in the Bay Area like the food, HMUA, DJ, and server staffing company, organized our wedding day schedule, held regular video calls with us, got quotes from vendors, kept track of our budget and payment schedule with weekly updates, arranged set-up of the ceremony and reception venue, made sure our vendors got day-of tips, and more! The only thing that could be improved is that there was a specific deadline for event liability insurance that I and the planning team all missed initially. No harm was done though! The mistake was caught in time before it affected the event, and all went well! Michelle and Raymundo excellently identified what our energy levels as a newlywed couple would be like in the week leading up to the big event, and the day of the actual wedding. Raymundo directed our impromptu ceremony rehearsal, helping our officiant and party mark their places and signaling where/when we should stand and walk. Michelle checked in with the bride and the groom consistently throughout the night of the reception, asking if we needed water, food, or other drinks since we were often distracted by the festivities. They maintained effective communication leading up to and on the day of the wedding. Their decorations at the ceremony and reception were absolutely gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. At the end of the night, they managed takedown, and made sure all of the personal decorative items and remembrance photos we brought were conveniently all in the same box for us to take home. Through the yearlong process of planning, they dealt with last-minute logistical changes with incredible poise, and truly grounded us, allowing us to enjoy the day with free minds. The team even accommodated two of our guests who tested positive for COVID last-minute by setting up a separate table for them in the outdoor venue. We couldn't recommend them more highly. Not to mention, their BobaHolics boba bar was a huge hit and the photo booth was a lot of fun. We got a lot of mileage out of the sustainable decor inventory, which prevented us from having tons of wedding stuff on hand that we'd accumulate and need to resell after. The entire range of services offered by Oso is incredibly helpful and will make any event an absolute hit. We have loved working with the team and we’re so grateful they decided to take us on as clients at the start of their wedding planning journey.

Kimberly’s Ever After Planning is the whole reason my day went so smoothly and I didn’t spend the whole day worrying. I hired Kimberly’s Ever After Planning for outside day of coordination for my Disneyland Hotel Wedding. From the moment I booked them, I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders. I knew that my DIY & Personal items would be handled carefully and nobody from the wedding party or any guests would have to take time out of their day to set it up. I had lots of communication from Kimberly from the moment I booked with her until the wedding day. Kimberly and her husband Travis had the same venues as we did for their own wedding, plus she has worked many Disneyland weddings as a planner, so I knew she was someone I could trust to know all the details & peculiarities when having a Disneyland Wedding. On the day of the wedding I just showed Kimberly and Travis all the items I had, I had binned them up and labeled them, and they handled everything from then on. I didn’t need to worry about anything while I was getting my hair & makeup done because they were handling it all and updating me occasionally. Kimberly even ran to get a tide pen for me from my hotel room when I spilled cupcake on my white shirt! At the end of the reception, Kimberly & Travis packed up all my items and they were so smooth at it, I didn’t even notice them while I was dancing with my friends! I also hired Kimberly’s Ever After Planning for content creation, and once everything was set up, Kimberly and Travis got so much footage of behind the scenes, the ceremony, and reception footage. I didn’t know if I wanted to spend the money on a videographer & hiring them for content creation was a happy medium. I definitely recommend hiring Kimberly’s Ever After Planning, especially if you’re having a Disneyland Wedding. They know what they’re doing, and they’re going to take care of you, and care about making your day special just as much as you do.

I’m not even sure where to begin to describe how amazing Events by McKenna is at what they do!! McKenna is the most kind, helpful, and enthusiastic person to assist you during such an important time in your life. She made sure everything went perfectly on our wedding day and every day leading up to it! When we first started our wedding planning journey, we only knew where we wanted to have it, and due to the venue location not regularly being used for weddings, we needed to outsource vendors for everything. That's where McKenna came in and helped us out by hand-picking every vendor that she knew would provide the exact things we were looking for. From catering, florals, furniture rentals, DJ, and all the little details, she knew who would be perfect for the job and she was right about every single one! Every time we had a question or a crazy idea, she had an answer right away and she would do everything she could to make it happen. One thing that we were really hoping for was getting a disco ball above our dance floor, but since we were outdoors, it wasn’t looking promising. On the day of, McKenna and her team were so efficient and handled everything so that my husband and I could relax and focus on ourselves. McKenna was amazing at time management throughout the day, and she was so helpful to not only us, but our families, wedding party and guests as well. I felt overwhelmed, but when we hired Sarah she helped us turn it all around. She held our hands through the hard part and then helped us stay on task and organized when our energy and excitement came back. She helped us navigate being out of the country for 3 of the six months prior to the wedding. She already had experience and relationships with most of our vendors, which helped those contracts go more smoothly and meant less management from us was required. She was 100% ready to get behind any project we could come up with — she supported our vision like it was her own. Whenever I asked her to find someone who could bring an idea to life, she always did so quickly and often with options to choose from. Her depth of connections meant that when I needed a new photographer with just six weeks to go, she was able to give me at least ten available and talented options in 24 hours. She is a wedding planner pro. Most importantly, she is just a lot of FUN and FUNNY. We enjoyed spending time with her on our monthly check in calls, at tastings, walk throughs, and finally the weekend of the wedding itself. She’s a joyful, quirky, nonjudgmental person who really loves weddings and helping couples have the day of their dreams. She is an LGBTQ affirming vendor which is obviously very important to us as a queer couple. She was extremely RESPONSIVE to all communication and I don’t think I ever waited more than 24 hours to hear back from her. Her planning expertise prior to the actual weekend was invaluable, but she really was our angel during the wedding weekend. She handled the details so that we could stay present and actually enjoy our party! Thank you Sarah for being such a great partner in bringing this wedding to life. Billy and her team with Da Silva events is a one stop shop. She offers a Photo Booth, photography, and wedding planner all in one business! If you’re an out of state bride like me, she also offers pieces that you will not have to buy ie candles, vases, table numbers, etc. She will overperform and give you the wedding of your dreams. From the time reaching out, to the wedding day she has been professional, RESPONSIVE, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Billy if you want your wedding to be stress free. I had an issue with a vendor not responding the week of my wedding and she fixed it within hours! I also changed my reception and rehearsal location the day before the wedding, and she took my change of design for an inside vs outside concept seemlessly and executed this change at a high level that only comes from experience. If there is one thing I could not do without at my wedding, it was Billy. She was my rock and my sanity during a jam packed weekend with non stop entertaining. Highly recommend. How much does a wedding planner cost?

Should we get a wedding planner?

At the bare minimum, you need someone (hired or delegated) to help manage the event day-of so you will be able to enjoy yourselves without worrying about too many logistics.
