    Lizzie with Rachel Behar Events is Beyond Amazing!

    When we started to think about planning a wedding in NYC, we had no idea where to begin, so we decided to work with a wedding planner. Not only was Lizzie the greatest person to work with EVER, but choosing to hire her as our planner was, hands down, the best money we spent on anything wedding-related. From the start, Lizzie was extremely organized, easy-going, reassuring, and on top of things. She started by sending us a clear outline of everything that needed to be done in a month-by-month checklist, which broke things down and made it all extremely easy to digest. From there, Lizzie always sent us a list of options - for our venue, caterer, florist, etc. - that she put together based on what we wanted and her expertise. We were able to be the decision-makers, but having her narrow it down to options that fit us was SO valuable and made the whole process (she did this for everything!) so much more palatable. Lizzie is an expert at what she does, and it shows. She always provided options that made sense for us, gave her opinion but never forced anything on us, and she was always available to talk things through, answer questions, and provide her expertise and advice when we asked for it. She worked so well with us, was patient and understanding, and she knows exactly how to get things done! On the day of, Lizzie was nothing but calm, cool, and collected, and she was on top of EVERYTHING. No detail or to-do was missed, and that was all thanks to her. She navigated so many moving parts, family dynamics, and a busy day, and our day could not have been more perfect. Everyone in my family and wedding party raved about her and said they were so impressed by 1) how everything came together and how beautiful it was, but even more so 2) how awesome Lizzie was at her job and how great she was to work with. My fiancé and I would now call Lizzie a friend and it was such a privilege to work with her. She deserves all the flowers and more for being an amazing person and for being SO great at her job. NYC is a big place to navigate with a lot of people in the wedding field, so having someone as genuine as Lizzie to do this with made it feel like such a personal, easy, and calm process to go through. We could not recommend Lizzie more and hope everyone gets a chance to work with her!!!

    10 OUT OF 5 STARS!!!

    Rarely do I find myself wishing i could give 10 stars instead of 5! I don't know where to begin to explain how incredible Rachel and her whole team are. I produce events for a living and Im a tough critic but I literally have NO NOTES - Rachel gave me the biggest gift ever - i got to turn off my producer hat and just be mother of the bride. The entire process was so well organized , there wasn't a thing that Rachel hadn't thought of - every time i thought of something throughout the process Rachel already had a plan for it. Rachel has a quiet in charge energy that is absolutely perfect. It is also clear how much the vendors enjoy working with her and that is so important to a seamless and successful event! Rachels team omg - one was better than the next! Wedding planning needn't dominate your life and working with Rachel is the key to that - things are planned for and there is a timeline for everything and it all gets done with NO DRAMA. Lastly, we had fun and we already miss her so much !

    The Best Decision We Made for Our Wedding!

    Where do I even begin with Rachel?! She is truly the BEST. From the very beginning, she made the entire wedding planning process feel fun, exciting, and somehow completely stress-free. I kept waiting for the “wedding planning stress” everyone talks about… and it genuinely never came because Rachel had everything handled. She completely understood my vision and made every single dream (and there were A LOT of them) come to life. No idea was ever too much. I could send her a random thought or inspiration and she would immediately understand what I was going for, figure out how to make it happen, and somehow make it even better than I imagined. And it wasn’t just the wedding — Rachel also planned my bridal shower, which was absolutely gorgeous and another perfect example of how well she understood my style and vision. Having her involved in everything made the entire wedding experience feel so cohesive and special from start to finish. She was also incredible at keeping us on track with our budget, helping us figure out where it was worth spending, and managing the million little details that go into a wedding of this scale. I never felt like I had to chase anything or worry that something was being missed. She was organized, calm, honest, responsive, and just SO easy and fun to work with. And then the actual wedding… I was absolutely blown away. Walking into the room and seeing everything we had talked about for months actually brought to life was surreal. Every detail was beyond what I had envisioned. I was able to be completely present, have the best night of my life, and not think about logistics for even one second because I knew Rachel and her team had it covered. Our wedding truly felt like a dream, and so much of that is because of Rachel. She took all of my crazy ideas and turned them into the most magical, beautiful, FUN night. I genuinely cannot imagine planning our wedding without her. If I could do it all over again, I would choose Rachel 100 times over.

    Sleepy hollow country club wedding

    Rachel and her team worked with us tirelessly for months planning our son’s wedding weekend which took place over Labor Day. Her attention to detail is incredible, she has great ideas, strong vendor relationships, and really listened to all of us - especially my son and daughter-in-law - to truly understand their vision. And she executed it! Rachel is also a lovely person and easy to work with it. She gets along with everyone - a real gift. I would recommend her without any caveats!!

    Planning with RBE

    RBE is incredible. Lizzie and Rachel planned our June 2026 wedding and we could not have been more impressed. They were organized, thoughtful and supported us throughout the entire process. No task was too large or small for them. They understood our vision and helped us find the perfect vendors to bring it to life. Clear communication throughout the entire planning process. They are also just wonderful humans to work with - highly recommend working with them.

Rachel takes pride in working with her clients personally, guiding every event from start to finish. When needed, she brings on carefully selected associates who collaborate closely with her. Over the years, she has met exceptional professionals and surrounds herself with like-minded, highly task-oriented individuals who share her dedication to excellence.
Rachel has been a planner all her life (it’s embedded in her personality) but she’s been professionally planning events since 2010, when she managed nationwide events across college campuses with Rent the Runway. She then went on to assist with event planning at her first venue in 2012.
RBE plans all types of events—weddings, corporate gatherings, and social celebrations. We’ve planned intimate events for 10 guests and galas for 800! Loved them all.

To start, couples should expect to spend a minimum of $1,500 per guest, for the wedding day only. Please note that this estimate covers the wedding night only—not our planning fee, wardrobe, or other expenses. It depends on your event! Rachel will be your main point of contact and she’ll assemble a team of trusted freelancers and stylists to bring your vision to life. Additionally, she has a team of seasoned operation managers to assist on the Big Day.
Super fun :) We’ll take our time getting to know you and your vision for the event. You’ll then be presented with vendors who are not only amazing at what they do, but are also good people. You deserve the best—and that’s what we’ll provide, incorporating unique twists and exciting ideas that reflect your personal taste and style. RBE will be there for you at every moment you want us to be, from setup to take-down. On the day of your party, you’ll be able to be your own guest and not worry about a thing.
We’re in the office from Monday to Friday from 10am-5pm. While we’re flexible with evening meetings, we need notice to secure them. It’s very rare that we can take weekend meetings (due to our wedding and social clients), BUT we will never say “no” before trying our best to accommodate.
For the right client, we are always open to traveling—and have traveled often. Our passports are ready! Whether your event is domestic or foreign, we’ll be there! Keep in mind, events outside of New York and the Tri-State area include additional fees.
We provide guidance every step of the way, from helping you select vendors to reviewing contracts. While you’ll be responsible for paying the vendors directly, we’ll keep you on track by sending upcoming payment reminders.
