Hello there! My name is JayLynn. I am a romantic at heart, a lover of LOVE and a collector of daydreams. My journey in this one of a kind industry started a decade ago. I have experience as a bridal and wedding gown consultant, in the cosmetic and jewelry industry, and as a bridal model. My versatile background empowers me to be a knowledgeable resource and to add value to my clients experience through all stages of the planning process. I am a licensed, certified and insured event planner with coordination experience across all industries- Weddings have just captured my heart!

Partial planning comes with a lot of collaborative meetings and project takeover. Over Promised & Under Delivered
My partner and I hired Weddings by Jay for their month-of coordination service. Before booking, we spoke with several other coordinators at lower price points and decided to proceed with Weddings by Jay because it appeared to offer a more extensive, professional, and experienced service. I also looked at the large number of positive Google reviews without reading them closely. In hindsight, I wish I had spent more time reviewing them, as many appear to be from other vendors rather than couples who used the service. In the year leading up to the wedding, we met with JayLynn several times at her request, as she indicated that these meetings were an important part of the service. While some were lengthy and did not always have a clear purpose, we attended because we thought they would help keep her and her team informed about our wedding. On the day of our wedding, JayLynn was not present and two other coordinators attended instead. This was not inherently a problem, but it quickly became clear that the promises made to us during those meetings had not been relayed to the onsite team. During our inquiry call and subsequent meetings, JayLynn frequently emphasized that she and her team would proactively handle concerns and solve problems on the wedding day. That was not our experience. A small example was that no forks were placed near the cake during the cake cutting. More significantly, key information was not communicated to the bar staff despite my providing a detailed binder with images and notes. JayLynn also indicated that she provided personalized timelines to each vendor with information relevant to their role. This was not the case; instead, a single, fairly generic timeline was shared with all vendors. Given how frequently she described a more customized level of coordination, this was disappointing. If I had known what the final deliverables would look like, I could have handled this myself. If you are considering Weddings by Jay, I would strongly recommend asking to see examples of the deliverables and vendor communications you can expect to receive. Communication was also an ongoing concern. In the months preceding our wedding, I understood that communication might be limited since we had hired JayLynn for month-of coordination. However, in the month leading up to the wedding, I expected communication to become more proactive. Instead, I had to repeatedly follow up, including multiple times to have the timeline shared with vendors. After a specific date and time were promised, that deadline passed and I again had to follow up. When you hire a day-of coordinator, the expectation is that they will make the planning process and wedding day easier—not create additional work for the couple. We worked with five other vendors throughout the planning process and had consistently positive experiences, including five-star experiences across the board. Weddings by Jay was the only vendor I felt I had to continually follow up with and manage to ensure things were getting done. Overall, the service we received did not match what was presented to us when we booked. We paid a premium for what we believed would be a more professional, experienced, and proactive coordination service, and that was not our experience. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Weddings by Jay to other couples.

Amazing!!
JayLynn was incredible to work with. She was organized, communicative, fun, and so in touch with her clients needs. She made hosting her couple at our venue seamless and smooth. Through any high and low, we were so happy to have JayLynn. We cannot wait to have her back and host another beautiful wedding with us.

Best wedding planner in Colorado
Jaylynn is a superwoman. No task is too small for her, and no idea is too big to execute. Her partial planning services were invaluable in the year leading up to our wedding — she helped us find the right vendors, talked through every decision with us, and made the whole process feel manageable. On the day itself, she ran our logistical nightmare of a wedding (20 vendors!) like a well-oiled machine, handling all vendor communication and keeping everyone on timeline without breaking a sweat. When our rentals arrived late, she resolved it calmly and efficiently — I didn't even stress. Her assistant Diana personally escorted me and my father to the aisle, and at our Chinese tea ceremony the day before, Jaylynn was right there pouring tea and setting up the stage. We are endlessly grateful and will be singing her praises for the rest of our lives.

Fell Short on a Critical Day
I recently worked alongside Weddings By Jay at a wedding, and unfortunately it was one of the most disorganized wedding days I've experienced as a vendor. Communication issues were apparent from the beginning. Important details were either not clearly communicated or seemed to fall through the cracks entirely. Throughout the day, the timeline consistently ran behind, and the coordination team appeared unprepared for several key aspects of the event. As the day progressed, delays continued to compound. The wedding ultimately fell roughly an hour behind schedule, and dinner service was delayed to the point that the caterer had to intervene and inform the coordinator that service needed to begin immediately or they might not be able to serve the meal at all. During both the ceremony and reception, the coordination team was still scrambling to put together details and complete tasks well after those elements should have been finalized. Even midway through the reception, there were still missing items and unresolved issues, which understandably left the bride frustrated and upset. What stood out most was the lack of organization and confidence in execution. There seemed to be significant uncertainty regarding responsibilities and next steps, with frequent validation sought from other vendors for routine wedding-day decisions. Wedding coordinators should bring structure, communication, and peace of mind to a wedding day. Unfortunately, that was not the experience I observed. Based on this experience, I would encourage couples to thoroughly research their options and seek recommendations from trusted vendors such as photographers, videographers, hair and makeup artists, or venue staff before making a decision. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Weddings By Jay based on my experience.

This was an outdoor celebration in Aspen on a day with exceptionally high winds. We can't predict weather circumstances — we can only work with the conditions in front of us — and part of our role as planners is to pivot in real time when the unexpected happens, which is exactly what our team did throughout the day to keep everything safe and in place. Communication is also a two-way street, and we always work to keep it open with our couples and the vendors we partner with. We'd also respectfully note that this review comes from a member of another vendor's team rather than from the couple themselves. We always prefer to address any concerns directly with our clients, and we've taken steps to do exactly that. We take every experience seriously and are always working to improve. We wish the couple nothing but love and happiness, and we're honored to have worked with them.

Amazing!
Working with Weddings by Jay was an absolute pleasure. From our first call, their team exuded a calm, reassuring, and confident demeanor that immediately put us at ease.
