With extensive experience in event coordination and Catering Sales Management at both Marriott and Hilton Hotels & Resorts, we understand the intricacies of seamless event planning. Our diverse background also includes independently organizing and planning various weddings and events, showcasing our dedication and skills.

I’m a wedding photographer and Shelby is amazing!!
I am a wedding photographer and had the absolute pleasure of working alongside Shelby for a wedding in July of 2025. I cannot say enough about her professionalism and expertise. She was truly on top of every detail, organized, calm under pressure and had an incredible way of connecting with the couple, their families, myself, and other vendors involved which made the day flow seamlessly! Her attention to detail ensured that nothing was overlooked. Her personality flowed perfectly with the day, vendors involved, and the couple. She was able to meet every question with a clear and confident answer which also helped the day run so smoothly. In this industry, it’s truly hard to find someone who can combine such perfect attention to detail with kindness and grace and I have to say The Southern Planner is just that!! Shelby’s skill had the poise, skill, and client experience that perfectly aligns with the luxury wedding space. I have no doubt that she will continue to grow and thrive in the industry and I would be truly honored to work with her again. Because of her, we were able to actually relax and enjoy every moment with our family and friends. A Stress-Free Wedding Day
Just wanted to take a moment and say thank you! Sincerely from the bottom of our hearts we can’t imagine how we could have got through our big day without Shelby's help. She kept us on schedule, did work behind the scenes liaising with all the vendors , and put out fires I’m sure we will never even know about because she's just that good. We were both up to our eyeballs in stress in the weeks leading into our wedding, and Shelby helped us find direction in what we needed to do to get to the finish line. I’m happy to say that neither one of us spent the whole day stressing about whether everything would be okay or not, and we were both able to just enjoy the most magical day of our lives. Shelby's professionalism, preparedness, and punctuality were not unnoticed by us, so one final time, thank you for everything you did for us. We will never forget how special you made our day. PS: Shelby fielded a call from a vendor upset by a negative review a week later. She handled it with so much grace and kindness and did not make us feel bad about writing it. She is an absolute GEM!
