Aside from my love for all-things-events-and-weddings, I am a cat mom, dog mom (to the best dog ever, truly), goofy type-A (yes, we exist). I love everything coffee, purple, and vintage; I almost never go somewhere without red lipstick. And you’ll probably see me somewhere in downtown Frederick at least twice a week.

We really focus on the couples' concerns and want to make sure that we work within the planning method that makes you the most comfortable. The work we do with you for coordination starts 3 months out because in order for us to be experts on your epic day, we need to talk to you and your vendors about it while also helping you close out the last things on your list of to-dos. Based in Frederick, we specialize in Frederick-based weddings and vendor selection.

Includes coordination. This package has become super popular with clients needing just a little bit of guidance on things they've been struggling with or aren't sure of what they want to do. Couples will receive a planning checklist and guidance on the next steps! We can meet every month, or every other month and go over your SBD-provided checklist. What you're working on, what you should be working on, and how we can help!

Coordination and event management is perfect for the couple that has vendors selected. They just want to be able to have an organized day and be able to enjoy the celebration. SBD will start working with them and their vendors in the months leading up to the day, learning the important details and logistics necessary for fun and success. This includes providing a document checklist to finalize planning, timeline creation, and layouts!

Yes, we do micro weddings and elopements! Just like coordination and partial planning, we can help you work out all of the details for your intimate celebration.

Includes coordination. Not sure how you want things to look? Our design team will collaborate with you to create a beautiful presentation. This presentation will highlight all the small details and big plans for the VIBE and aesthetics for your wedding day. We'll also show you where you can get the proposed items, make changes as your ideas evolve, and hunt down that extra-special cool touch you want to add.

    Working with Sleeping Bee Designs was a dream! From the moment we booked with SBD, we knew we made the right decision. Sarah did not hesitate to answer our questions and offer advice for many aspects of our planning process! The materials Sarah provided to us to fill out the event details helped us stay organized and have a clear understanding of what needed to be planned. In the weeks leading up to our wedding, we were able to breathe easily knowing our event was in good hands. Sarah and Emily executed our decor vision even better than we had imagined. Our family, friends, AND other vendors commented on how organized and efficient the SBD team was. Not to mention coming prepared with everything including supplies to secure my dress after I tore a hole in it! We won’t hesitate to recommend SBD to our friends and family for their event coordination needs.

    My wedding was Jan 12 2024 and I started the planning process around the spring of 2023. I thought I had everything under control but as we got closer, I realized I needed someone to help tie together all the details and help ensure our day went smoothly. I reached out to Sarah in October 2023 and it was the best decision I made. She helped me plan an after party, pull everything together from decor to rehearsal dinner and everything in between. She is incredibly communicative and is such a joy to work with. Our day would not be the same without her. If you’re looking for someone to help plan your wedding I cannot recommend her enough!!

    Hiring Sarah was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. She is organized, a great communicator, and a true team player with everything involved. The monthly meetings we had kept us in check and she made sure she was there to help if we ran into any roadblocks. She created a perfect timeline for us, adjusted it as we made changes, looped in other vendors, and everything went SO smoothly. The day of the wedding, Sarah made sure we ate food, had some time alone as a couple (both very important because you get so sucked up in everything), and she even acted as a part time florist for us by arranging our bud vases the day of the wedding! Her team is truly amazing as well and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. (Pic of her flipping a coin moments before our ceremony to decide which one of us would walk down the aisle first. She didn’t hesitate when we brought her this idea!)

    Sarah and her team are incredible at bringing the couple’s vision to life and keeping the day organized and moving forward. From ideation to execution, my partner and I trusted Sarah and Emily wholeheartedly. They ensured our day was relaxing and fun, and they dealt with the rest. Sarah is is professional, organized, she has a get it done attitude and is an absolute joy to be around. We appreciated her sense of humor and she matched our energy. We’d get married every weekend if it meant we could hire Sarah again and again.
