Aside from my love for all-things-events-and-weddings, I am a cat mom, dog mom (to the best dog ever, truly), goofy type-A (yes, we exist). I love everything coffee, purple, and vintage; I almost never go somewhere without red lipstick. And you’ll probably see me somewhere in downtown Frederick at least twice a week. The SBD team has a team of Leads and Assistants of all backgrounds but we all share a love for logistics and supporting couples on their special day!

We really focus on the couples' concerns and want to make sure that we work within the planning method that makes you the most comfortable. The work we do with you for coordination starts 3 months out because in order for us to be experts on your epic day, we need to talk to you and your vendors about it while also helping you close out the last things on your list of to-dos. Based in Frederick, we specialize in Frederick-based weddings and vendor selection.

Includes coordination. This package has become super popular with clients needing just a little bit of guidance on things they've been struggling with or aren't sure of what they want to do. Couples will receive a planning checklist and guidance on the next steps! We can meet every month, or every other month and go over your SBD-provided checklist. What you're working on, what you should be working on, and how we can help!

Coordination and event management is perfect for the couple that has vendors selected. They just want to be able to have an organized day and be able to enjoy the celebration. SBD will start working with them and their vendors in the months leading up to the day, learning the important details and logistics necessary for fun and success. This includes providing a document checklist to finalize planning, timeline creation, and layouts!

Yes, we do micro weddings and elopements! Just like coordination and partial planning, we can help you work out all of the details for your intimate celebration.

Includes coordination. Not sure how you want things to look? Our design team will collaborate with you to create a beautiful presentation. This presentation will highlight all the small details and big plans for the VIBE and aesthetics for your wedding day. We'll also show you where you can get the proposed items, make changes as your ideas evolve, and hunt down that extra-special cool touch you want to add.

    Hire Sarah ASAP!!

    From our first conversation, Sarah and her team at Sleeping Bee Designs felt like the right fit for our wedding. She was responsive and down to earth throughout the entire planning process, always ready to answer questions and work through ideas with us. Sarah's organization is outstanding. She handled all the details behind the scenes so seamlessly that we were able to relax and actually enjoy our wedding day without worrying about a single detail.     Seriously the Best Decision We Made!

    Hiring Sleeping Bee Designs (SBD) as our Day-of Coordinator was easily one of the absolute best decisions we made for our wedding.     Sarah is the BEST!!!!

    Hiring Sarah as a wedding coordinator and design consultant was hands down the best wedding decision we made. She is amazing. Right from the beginning, she put our minds at ease. Sarah sent so many helpful documents to help us as we began planning the wedding and was always around to answer a quick question or lend her expertise. We got married at Union Mills Public House in Frederick, MD. Sarah knew the area, venue and available vendors like the back of her hand and guided us through the entire process.She had answers to every question and helped us quell any worries. As we got closer to the day, our minds were at ease knowing Sarah had all the logistics down. Her team really is incredible. My husband and I were able to enjoy every second of our wedding because we knew Sarah and her team had everything covered. There were a few times during the night when things didn’t go exactly according to plan (because of guests, weather, etc.) and each time, Sarah had it figured out before we even knew what was happening. The saddest part was needing to say goodbye to the Sleeping Bee team at the end of the wedding. We couldn’t recommend them more highly!!!

    Sarah was absolutely incredible from start to finish. I booked day of coordinator services with her, but she was involved much earlier to ensure day of details would be absolutely perfect. Sarah and her team do absolutely everything in their power to ensure everything goes PERFECTLY for bride and groom, but also for the entirety of the wedding. I cannot recommend enough, Sarah and her team go above and beyond, and we are SO GLAD we went with them.

    Wedding Wizards!

    Sarah and her team coordinated our November wedding and did such a wonderful job! I would recommend them over and over. Sarah has a wealth of knowledge and was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and professional throughout our entire experience. From last minute rentals, to late night (night before) texts, a day of rehearsal, to random day of chaos, SBD handled it all with grace and efficiency. In addition to being lovely, Sarah is incredibly organized and detailed oriented, she is really exactly what you need. We are so thankful that we hired SBD, it really was the best day ever!

I travel for any event within 45 minutes of Frederick (21701) at no charge. Anything further than 2 hours requires overnight stay and compensation for a hotel.
If you need linens, tableware, décor, help with stationary, I am down to help design for an additional fee!
I can customize my services to whatever you need. I specialize in what is most often referred to as "day-of" or "month-of" coordination. To me, it's way more than that! It's wedding day management and logistics coordination!
Each wedding is different, and everyone's needs vary. My contracts outline how involved I can be with your vendor needs. Do you need help looking for, choosing, and hiring? I can help select a few if needed. I will always oversee and communicate with vendors the day of to make sure the timeline stays on track and they get what they need.
Yes! I have a list of vendors I have worked with in the past and love working with. This list is provided to all clients in their welcome packet.
Yes! I LOOOOVE Hive Tribe Huddles. At the beginning of every month, I send out a Calendly link for you to schedule your appointment. These Huddles are an hour long and we can talk about anything you want to: what you are working on, what you should be working on, issues you're having...whatever! I recommend we start these chats at least 6 or 12 months prior to your epic day.
