The preparation was easy and straightforward via email and phone. The day of the event, everything went perfectly. We were particularly happy with some of Kevin's suggestions such as the table dash photos (which are so great to have) and all the guests rushing up to us on the dance floor, which was really fun and made for great photos. Our guests said the MC and crowd work from Kevin was something they'd never seen before and really enjoyed. “Adrian and the team at TLC Events were amazing! From the moment we reached out to TLC, he was responsive and welcoming. He explained all the services and listened to what we wanted and needed for our wedding. Our wedding was a blending of cultures and we wanted to incorporate that into our reception. Adrian and his team knocked it out of the park! They had everyone dancing and out of their seats the whole night! We had given Adrian a list of must plays but left it to the team to fill in the rest and they did not disappoint!! The whole set-up was beautiful, from the DJ booth to the photo booth! We were so impressed. Guests we did not think would dance were out on the dance floor groovin' along. We have continued to receive compliments on our music choices. My only regret of the night is that I did not spend enough time on the dance floor!!! I hope to use TLC again in the future!! Thank you, Adrian and TLC Events!!!”

“I hired Unique Class DJs for our wedding and people STILL talk about our wedding and how much fun it was (that was back in 2014). Many friends have said, “you guys should have a 10 year anniversary party and get the same DJ!” Javier is amazing, professional, a great communicator and overall reliable. We met prior to the wedding to go over our favorite music choices and just with a simple list of songs, he was able to create an amazing playlist/mixes of songs that kept to party going ALL night. One of my guests even mentioned she caught two wedding crashers who were dining downstairs at the restaurant of our wedding venue who joked “we had to come upstairs and take a look because the music is great!” Several years later we hired Unique Class DJs for our daughter’s birthday and Javier was also amazing. “Choosing Kristin as part of the live band for our wedding reception was one of the best vendor decisions my husband and I made. From the very beginning, Kristin was incredibly kind and easy to work with. She even learned 5 new songs for us! She learned songs for our first dance, father/daughter dance, mother/son dance, and even learned Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” for me, a huge Swiftie! Kristin performed a whole range of songs, from pop to rock to even some oldies that pleased my older relatives! Everyone at our wedding found a song to dance to by the end of the night. Our guests kept coming up to my husband and I just to say how much they loved the band, but notably, Kristin! Needless to say, Kristin absolutely rocked it and created some special moments that my husband and I will never forget! She came out into the crowd to dance and interact with my two young nieces (ages 4 and 2), who, in turn, instantly became part of the show. “I did a lot of research before booking entertainment for our August 2026 wedding, and LB Productions not only met all my expectations, they also went above and beyond to be accommodating to our needs, flexible, and professional throughout the whole process. Many of our guests commented on how our dance floor was one of the best they've experienced, especially at a wedding. We made a lot of unconventional choices and I really appreciated how Eddie was ready to embrace our unique song selections and kept the vibe going strong for the entire event. He also helped us secure transportation services by referring us to another great company, DH2 Transportation. Andres was an excellent emcee and made our event extra special with thoughtful personalized touches. “My name is Kiyoko Nakamura, my husband is Mexican American, and I am Japanese. We celebrated our 15-year Anniversary here in New York City on December 18th, 2021. (We are from California) I wanted to surprise my husband with a Mariachi Band (he loves Mariachi) that offered quality in service and performance. I have a M.M from Kyoto University for Music & Art, and I fully understand what I was looking for in a Mariachi band. I investigated each Mariachi band here in NYC, their quality as musicians, social media, reviews etc. Many mariachi bands stated, "they are the best" or "Number 1 in NEW YORK CITY", but I can assure you all from looking at their YouTube performances & social medias that they are NOT. A few did play back, had a CD recording of an actual PROFESSIONAL band in the background while these so called "Best in NYC" made it seem as if it was them performing, FALSE advertisement. Once I saw Mariachi Hidalgo NYC, directed person with a B.A in Music & History. (Having a degree in any accredited field is one way to ensure the person knows what they are offering.) I investigated everything about this ensemble before contacting. YouTube , Instagram, all their social medias in order to understand whom I was calling. After checking out everything, proper technique on their instruments and vocals, no play back, presentable, quality musicians. I knew this band was going to be AMAZING! From the moment I called to book them until the performance's date this is what I received. A very professional service to not just me but my husband and guests as well. Very detailed in terms of explaining the full booking process, punctual, proper technique on their instruments & voice, an amazing show that interacts with the crowd. This band had it all! Everyone loved it! Visual Aspect:/ Performance Technical playing, clean suits, well groomed, presentable. 100/100 If you are looking for a mediocre or an economical option or a group to just make noise regardless of how they sound. Then I would not recommend this band for your event. If, however, you are looking for a PROFESSIONAL band to make your special moments even more memorial. Then YES, I recommend this band too you, Mariachi Hidalgo NYC! You will not be disappointed. Overall: Quality, Punctual, Presentable, Professional, Show/Performance, Amazing service from start to finish. “Dan was absolutely amazing as the DJ for our wedding at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in 2026! He struck such a great balance between being organized, professional, and genuinely fun to work with. From the beginning, we felt confident that he understood the kind of night we wanted. Our music taste was all over the map — traditional Chinese music, ’90s emo, K-pop, country, and classic wedding dance floor staples — and Dan somehow made it all feel cohesive. He took our requests seriously, read the room beautifully, and kept the dance floor packed right up until the end of the night. He was also an excellent MC and audio professional. “The Hook Club made our wedding dreams come true. My husband is Dominican and I am from New England, and therefore we were looking for a bilingual band that could play a very wide range of music - from American wedding classics, to Pop, to Reggaeton, to Merengue, to Bachata — and a group that could MC the evening in Spanish and English, and bring the energy to keep the party going. We went with Hook Club’s 7 piece DJ Band, and they were above and beyond fantastic. They curated a setlist that somehow, despite the wide range of music, flowed together and was cohesive. I can’t express enough how talented they are vocally, instrumentally, professionally, and as performers. The dance floor was absolutely lit; even my brother who was on crutches and had a torn labrum couldn’t stay away. It makes me tear up thinking about how much energy, positivity, and happiness they brought to our night — they will always have a special place in our hearts. They are also true professionals - the planning process was easy, they were prompt in all communication, and on the day of they handled venue-related hiccups with grace. They were the first vendor to arrive to ensure a thorough set up, and the last to leave. They are truly such a special, one of a kind group, and I cannot recommend them enough. Of all the many decisions we made in planning our wedding, choosing THC was by far the best decision of them all. Although our wedding was back in August; our friends and family are still talking about The Hook Club, exlusively referring to them as “ the best wedding band they have ever heard before”. “The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

“We got married at The Bonnie in Astoria in August and LOVED our DJ, Jen Jones. We did share a number of playlists with her and she got the vibe we were going for and picked the exact right songs each moment of the night including one of my parents' favorite slow songs which I didn't even think to mention. We also had some friends play live music for our ceremony and Jen was very helpful meeting with them beforehand and communicating directly with our venue the week before the wedding. We had some technical hurdles/transitions that Jen managed perfectly. I wanted a specific transition from a video I showed and Jen was able to transition from it very smoothly! She also was very aware of the vibe. I was so lost in the moment I lost track of time and she was very on top of making sure we got all of our scheduled plans done! We had a big range of ages at our wedding and a consistently packed, high energy dance floor thanks to Jen's work! Non-Traditional Wedding DJs was easy to communicate with and the worksheet provided helped us a lot, especially since we did not use a wedding planner. Would definitely recommend them no matter what you are going for!”

“Marcus did an amazing job as the DJ for our wedding at the Prospect Park Boathouse! Prior to the wedding, we completed a worksheet on the timeline and our song preferences, and then had a planning meeting with him where we went over all the details and he gave us advice on flow and timeline based on his extensive experience DJ-ing weddings. Through all our interactions, we could tell how detail-oriented and experienced he was. The Prospect Park Boathouse can be a tricky venue with its short load-in time and long, narrow layout, but Marcus knew it well and planned accordingly. We also had a Vietnamese/Chinese wedding; in addition to a DJ, we also had a pianist with a singer, and a bilingual emcee. This added some complexity in terms of timeline and switching between the singer and the DJ, but Marcus coordinated well with everyone, kept track of the timeline, and handled all transitions between live music and DJ sets seamlessly. He also showed up a little early to make sure all equipment was set up well and did a mic check during the cocktail hour. During the dance portion of the night, the dance floor was packed all night and people did not want to leave! He played all the songs we wanted (along with additional ones he selected) and all the transitions and mixes were fantastic and kept the energy/vibe high. Many guests commented on how great our DJ was! Even though we had a different emcee, we know that Marcus would have done a fantastic job as an emcee as well - he is warm, friendly, gracious, and charismatic. He is not only a great DJ but also a fantastic human being!”

“Overall, we had a good experience with our DJ. He arrived on time, was professional throughout the evening, and kept our guests on the dance floor for most of the night. The music flowed well, and everyone seemed to have a great time. That said, I did spend a lot of time carefully selecting songs that were meaningful to us, and I was a little disappointed that many of those selections weren't played. Some of our requested songs were included, but I had hoped more of our playlist would be incorporated into the evening. The only other issue was that, just before our grand exit, he approached us to mention that he hadn't received enough food. We had paid for a vendor meal for him, so I wasn't sure what had happened, and it didn't feel like the best time to bring it up while we were in the middle of such a special moment. Despite those concerns, he was friendly, punctual, and our guests clearly enjoyed themselves. If having a lively dance floor is your top priority, he does a good job creating a fun atmosphere.”

“Jay was our DJ (and friend) at our wedding at Renault Winery this past April. We cannot say enough good things about working with him! From the very beginning, he ensured us that he would make all of our wedding reception dreams come true and he DEFINITELY executed! “DJ Mariko is the perfect wedding DJ; the Stylus team has an excellent template for couples to complete to get the ball rolling for their DJs to plan their set. Each part of the event had a specific section where my wife and I were able to describe the intended music vibe. DJ Mariko then met with us to give suggestions and clarify things like initial ceremony timelines/cues, discuss how she would go about including our must-have songs, and give some helpful tips and edits to the whole day, not just the music/AV stuff! She said she was excited to “get an excuse to play these songs,” in our zoom call, and while she may just say that to all the couples she works with, she definitely pulled through! Our entire guest list, independent of age, was on the dance floor the whole night long! We also were able to pass her contact information to a few folks who could not end the night without knowing where we found her :)”
