I had the pleasure of working with Imagine It to plan a wedding at the W Hotel in Washington, DC, under the direction of Andrea Taylor. To say the least, they completely exceeded my expectations! From the moment we met, I knew that I was in good hands. Imagine It was incredibly well-organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in making sure that every aspect of our wedding was perfect. Throughout the planning process, Andrea was always available to answer any questions or concerns that I had. We hired the amazing team at Coordinated Collective to help coordinate our wedding. We had been connected to her through our neighbors, who has also used the coordinated collective for their wedding. We have to say that hiring Ja’el and her team (Molly and Jessica) was the single most valuable investment of our wedding. Ja’el is extremely professional and has a process and system that ensured that all of our desires and wishes were captured and communicated to all of our vendors, wedding party, family and friends. We had several calls with Ja’el leading up to our wedding, where we discussed and finalized some of the major details of our wedding. Ja’el also was available to offer perspective, make recommendations, and answer some of our minor questions as well. She was extremely attentive, quick to respond, and clear on setting and communicating expectations with us. Ja’el’s process, timeline, and consistent urging ensures that every detail of our wedding was planned and communicated to our vendors 2 weeks prior to our event. This included photography and videography, the DJ, the venue and catering, hair and makeup, transportation, flowers, decor, lighting, cake baker, officiant, and wedding party. This also included a full inventory of everything that was ours and/or needed to return after the event. This ensured that we could spend the weeks leading up to our event communicating to and welcoming our guests into town as well as answering minor questions. During the rehearsal, Ja’el effectively communicated our vision to our wedding party and set the tone, making sure that everyone knew and respected that the day was ours. On the day of the event, it was clear that Ja’el and her team were prepared. They arrived on time, ensured that all of our vendors knew where to be and when and delivered on their services, and handled everything with flying colors. All of the preparation, leading up to the day allows us to feel comfortable and confident that Ja’el and her team knew what we wanted and could deal with any issues as they came. If there were major issues, we certainly didn’t know about it. There were a couple minor issues that we noticed during the day but Ja’el and her team handled everything. Behind the incredible professionalism, the coordinated collective team was so fun to work with. They even showed off some dance moves towards the end of our reception. Our day was absolutely amazing and we literally could not have pulled it off without the Coordinated Collective. We weren’t the only ones to notice either. Even some of our friends and family have expressed how impressed they were with Ja’el. We would 1000% hire them again and would 10000% recommend them to others.

Lissa and her team was absolutely wonderful from the initial contact up to the end of our wedding day! No matter what kind of wedding you're having, she will make you and your partner feel like you have all of her attention as the most important couple. Throughout the whole process, she was so professional and supportive, even with not as traditional ideas. She had such a quick response time, usually within a day, or a couple hours, and sometimes even sooner! Her attention to detail in making my timeline was also amazing and I felt that we were able to have the whole day planned to the dot before the big day. On the wedding day, she made sure everything ran so smoothly and we were not stressed out at all! We had some small hiccups with the layouts that our venue had set up, but a quick word from Lissa had them fixing the issue. She's the perfect amount of assertiveness, professionalism, and friendliness with everyone, including the guests. The largest thing that stood out to us was how much all of our other vendors loved Lissa and working with her, and we could see it throughout the day. Our venue had restrictions such as a short setup window, but Lissa communicated with them and navigated the situation very well to make everything go smoothly. Even though we had a venue management person for the day of, it was nothing compared to working with someone that truly focuses on you and your needs. Our vision was captured beautifully, and we do not regret hiring her at all!

We hired Shining Time (Rina-Wedding planner and Shine-Florist) as my full-service planners for my wedding on 8/5/2023, and it was the best experience! Shaymah was extremely organized with a very chaotic wedding - chaos due to family drama, etc. While the chaos was stressful, Shaymah was very detailed and thorough with all of the wedding planning, including designing florals and signs completely on her own (great designer too!), and including last minute issues with guest count, etc. She's very sweet, kind and helpful and great to work with! You know exactly where every dime is going thanks to Amaka and her report sheet. They also do not charge you for every little add on like other planners do. Let’s also mention that they always work with our budget, but we usually end up tipping because they're just soo goood :-). One thing we really love, is having our own contracts for vendors. Vendors will send out contracts to Amaka, and she in return will send contracts to the vendors to sign on our behalf so it made us feel very comfortable with booking the recommended vendors. It keeps us safe from vendors that cancel last minute or show up late.

During the month-of, she was super helpful in finalizing all the little design details we hadn't thought of (chairs, linens, lighting, etc) and especially nailing down the timeline. Penderview Events truly went above and beyond to make our day PERFECT. As a DIY and meticulous bride, we knew Anna was the one we would entrust with our vision the moment we had our phone consultation; she was so incredibly sweet and enthusiastic about our big day, and I immediately felt a sense of ease that she will be able to handle all the shenanigans and i can pass her the torch with ease. Although she was hired for "day of", she assisted us in any way possible months leading to and made sure we were on top of all the important tasks leading up to the day of (i.e. vendors contact info, finalizing timeline for the morning/day of, etc.). My big day unfortunately started off disastrous (I became car sick), so I was unable to give guidance with the decor during set up. But since one of the tasks Anna asked me weeks prior was for a list with all the decor and how/where I wanted them placed, Penderview legit made my vision come true!!!!!!!! Penderview was so attentive, that they were even able to place some items which I gave no instructions for (i.e. last minute decided that we wanted wedding party to sit during the ceremony, so I made name placement cards for the reserved chairs, and without mentioning it, they were placed on the chairs in processional order). Penderview was able to execute every event and details on the timeline FLAWLESSLY, and I was able to enjoy the event with ease knowing that everything was in such capable hands. We felt and saw how invested Penderview was throughout the day in making it perfect for us, especially the attention to details and handling all the logistics smoothly behind-the-scenes. I also really appreciated Anna’s assertiveness when hiccups would arise (ie, making sure guests wouldnt be walking in while were ready down the aisle/stay out of view, wedding party prioritized drinking and forgot to come back for portraits; flower girls kept running infront of camera during portraits, and so many other headaches i did not want to deal with, etc.) Not only was Anna able to accomplish and execute my vision beyond expectations, but she was also my emotional support and my right-hand lady, making sure I was always hydrated. Anna’s empathetic and kind demeanor made her feel more like a close friend than just a ‘day of coordinator’. Hiring Penderview was the best investment we made. Thank you so much for making our day magical and we will forever be grateful to Penderview!!!

One thing that I wanted on my wedding day was for everything to be timely. I didn’t want any delays, any ceremony running over time and STH made sure of that. The team was on top of everything and made sure reach ceremony, each tasks, each vendor, everything was timely and I had the best time! Kristy was the wedding vendor I didn’t know I needed, until I met her! My husband and I hired Kristy as our day of coordinator for our wedding last weekend and she was nothing short of amazing! Once our wedding was about 4 months out and we really started to get into the weeds of planning our big day, we realized that we needed a day of coordinator as we were doing a lot of DIY touches for the wedding and needed someone there to make sure our vision could actually come to life. Upon meeting Kristy, she immediately gave us a ton of ideas as to where to thrift on a tight budget and had so much information and helpful tips to offer. She also took over the vendor communication 3 months out which was a huge lift in the final planning stage! She was very effective in her coordination with all of our vendors and point of contacts so that on the day of the wedding we were really just enjoying the day both carefree and stress-free. Kristy offers a ton of helpful documents to review after your first session with her and she creates a custom timeline for you with the day scheduled to the minute. She was so organized and really kept us on track! Kristy also did an amazing job with the breakdown of the event especially since we brought in a lot of the decor in ourselves. She was flexible in making sure that all of our items got into one of our family member’s cars so it could be picked up whenever we had time the next day. This was a huge help so that guests at the wedding weren’t carrying flowers, vases, and signs home for us and instead headed directly to the after party. She even texted my parents the morning after with the details of where all of our items were stored and shared some great photos (and a reel with us) from the day! :) Kristy was also an advocate for us as clients, which went a really long way. We were having issues communicating well with one of our vendors, but Kristy stepped in and found a way to get a hold of the vendor and ensure our ask could be met. Without that push, our day would have looked a lot different than the vision we had hoped for- she really made our day come to life. After going through the wedding process, I truly think everyone needs a day of coordinator so if you have a slight inclination that someone is needed, think no further and contact Kristy! While weddings can get expensive as we all know, the best use of our money on our wedding day was spent on Kristy. Looking back on our day, we can’t thank her enough!!

Create You Events was the reason why our dream wedding became a reality!! My husband and I consider ourselves to be good planners, and like other couples, we thought we could make do without a wedding planner. We were only looking for a day-of coordinator when we reached out to Create You Events. We interviewed Vicky and realized the value she could provide us throughout the planning process. We quickly changed our stance and hired her as both our day-of coordinator and wedding planner. This was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The amount of time and mental energy saved was beyond worth it. Vicky and her team's guidance kept us on schedule and organized during our nine-month timeline. Vicky was able to handle all obstacles in stride. No challenge was ever too big for her, and that calmed many of our nerves. What sets Vicky and her team apart is their ability to complement the areas that my husband and I lacked. We were transparent with those aspects which we weren't as prepared for and our budget constraints, and they would always found solutions or presented us with alternatives that met our needs. There were countless times when Vicky would save the day by bringing up things that we wouldn't even consider! She was great with vendor management and helped identify vendors that fit our criteria. In addition to Create You Events' planning and coordination service, we also opted for their decor services. What was the most dreaded part of planning for us was no longer a challenge. Trust me when I say they made all of our worries go away when it came to decor and signage. We were able to provide our vision and they delivered on every little detail. The arrangements and signage fit the elegance of our theme and venue perfectly. It was a huge benefit having a team that already understood our vision and was attentive to every request. Where do I begin for the day-of coordination? Vicky and her team were the calming force to our chaotic day. We wanted to maximize our day, so we planned our timeline down to the minute. From their planning, they set up our day so that we didn't have to make any major decisions. All we had to do was follow the timeline they put together for us. This allowed us to enjoy our day and appreciate the little moments we would have otherwise missed. Even when things that were out of our control went array, Vicky and her team didn't even flinch from the pressure and were quick to find a resolution, having no impact on our day. Simply put, we couldn't have had a perfect day without the involvement from Create You Events. The planning, decor, and coordination was stress free for us and allowed us to allocate our time to other areas that required more of our individual attention. Vicky and her team were incredibly easy to work with and we felt comfortable enough to share all of our circumstances with her. We will always give the highest recommendation to Create You Events to our friends and family for their wedding and/or any major event. We are still left in awe by how they were able to listen to our vision and run with it. We definitely won't miss wedding planning, but will miss our planning calls with Vicky. She had absolutely everything covered to the point that I actually felt a bit guilty about how little I did because, hello, that's my personality. As for Tyra's personality--well, she's the best. Super duper friendly, professional and like a good BFF, not afraid to give it to you straight. Highly, highly recommend. P.S.--This was a second wedding for my hubby and I, and it was a very small group. If you figure you don't need a planner because your wedding is going to be intimate, you're wrong. Trust me when I tell you that you still need someone to coordinate with the vendors, make sure the ceremony musicians aren't dead, talk you through a tuxedo crisis, and literally sprint to jump into your officiant's car, who is lost and driving around the mall looking for the venue. ;)

Natasha worked with Bianca for our wedding this past October, and let me just say this up front to any bride/groom: you may THINK you are type A and can handle any and every small detail in your wedding. You may THINK "how many decisions could I possibly need help with if I already have all of my vendors selected and every event for the weekend is in the same place? EASY." Welp, let me tell you folks--it is decidedly *not*. We had our wedding at the Intercontinental on the Wharf: all 3 wedding events throughout the weekend. I hired Natasha as some decisions were becoming mildly overwhelming and her prices were *chefs kiss*. When I say she and Bianca saved the day MULTIPLE times during our weekend, I am not overstating. She made every vendor organizational correspondence and handled all last minute questions they had--it was the best decision I made about the wedding (minus the groom, he's #1 ;)). Do yourself a favor as the price is MORE than absolutely worth the help and bliss Natasha will deliver you--BOOK.HER.IMMEDIATELY. She also already has working relationships with numerous vendors and locations in the city, which was astoundingly helpful. Seriously. Just book her and truly enjoy your wedding planning process!

We hired Johnnie based on the recommendation of my sister, who had used Johnnies services for her own wedding a few months prior. We initially thought we wouldn’t need a coordinator, as we were keeping the wedding relatively simple (limited vendors, limited decorations, limited headcount [100]). We decided to err on the side of caution and book Johnnies services as a “Day of” coordinator. All I can really say is I can’t believe how naive we were. Even with our “limited” needs, it would have quickly overwhelmed us and become a full-time job, which we already had. Johnnie took control of coordinating with the vendors we booked, helping us put together the final timeline for the day-of, made sure the venue looked amazing, made sure we were taken care of throughout the whole day, and then worked with the vendors to ensure the venue was clean and that anything of ours was returned to us later. She is the bulldog you want in your corner should anything even slightly go amiss, because she won’t back down. She is also just a generally wonderful and kind person who puts you and your vision at the forefront of everything she does for you. If you are looking for a kind, competent, and creative coordinator, Johnnie is your girl. 5 out of 5 stars.

Marta was phenomenal to work with. Hiring All in the Details was one of the best choices I made for our wedding—hands down. Marta is so on top of things but has a very calming presence that was so great in the midst of planning anxiety. She put the decor together perfectly and made our vision come to life better than we imagined. Our wedding was at a family home and Marta was invaluable helping us figure out how to make it work for a wedding. Our families were blown away by how wonderful she was. From the big picture items like layout to the small things like making us vinyl decals for the corn hole boards when our Etsy order was lost in the mail, Marta was on top of it. We hired Stephanie for month-of and day-of coordination, and would 100% recommend her!
