I think what sets me apart is that I will go above and beyond every time to make sure my couples have the wedding they’ve been dreaming of. For me, wedding planning isn’t just a job, it’s something I truly love. Getting to help couples create the weddings of their dreams and then to be there on one of the happiest days of their lives is such an honor and privilege.

    Dapper Retriever Made Our Wedding Day Perfect

    Where do I even begin with Drew and Joey, the mighty duo behind Dapper Retriever? My husband and I had a very big, very gay, very Jewish, very Latino-Italian wedding: drag queens, performances, cultural signifiers, live music, Jewish traditions, and the whole shebang. Drew and Joey hit it out of the park. As someone who is constantly worrying about everyone else's experience and making sure everyone is enjoying themselves at events I host, I have never felt as carefree as I did on my wedding day. That is entirely thanks to them. We had a 180-person wedding at the National Press Club, and when I say there were no hiccups, I mean **TRULY NO HICCUPS.** Drew coordinated directly with our vendors, anticipated needs before we even thought of them, and knew the venue inside and out. I never once worried about what was happening behind the scenes. Just a few examples of what Drew and Joey did: - **Transformed our venue:** Arranged and lit all our candles, styled 20 tables with candle centerpieces, baby's breath and greenery, and created a gorgeous sweetheart table using our aisle garlands, all without an inspiration photo! - **Built and managed our chuppah:** Set it up, took it down, and safely stored it. - **Looked after us:** Made sure we always had water and drinks and even found chairs with arms for the hora. - **Went above and beyond:** Helped our drag queen with a quick wig change mid-performance! - **Handled everything behind the scenes:** Set up our gift table during dinner, managed the entire breakdown (including removing chair covers and storing our decor), and distributed vendor tips. - **Helped us months in advance:** Connected us with vendors, helped with event insurance, and reviewed our timeline, catching details we'd overlooked. --**Made sure we always happy:** Ensuring we were saying safe and hydrated, dancing away throughout the whole evening. And this probably doesn't cover half of what they did! We hired Dapper Retriever for day-of coordination, and my biggest wedding-planning regret is not hiring them from the beginning. Experiencing that level of peace of mind made me realize how invaluable they are. Managing a wedding with this many guests, performances, personalities, and cultural traditions is no small feat, and they handled it flawlessly. If you're someone who constantly takes care of everyone else, having people you can trust to take care of *you* is priceless. Drew and Joey let us be fully present and actually enjoy our wedding instead of worrying about logistics. If you're debating hiring a wedding planner or coordinator, RUN, DON'T WALK. HIRE DAPPER RETRIEVER. They gave us the gift of enjoying one of the most important days of our lives without worrying about a single thing.     Worth every penny!

    Drew was incredible. He was so knowledgeable and on top of every detail that on our actual wedding day, we didn't have to lift a finger — no checking timelines, no vendor questions, nothing. We just got to enjoy being married. Highly recommend!

    One of the best decisions you can make!

    Hiring Drew as our day-of coordinator was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning process! We brought him into the process a few months out from the wedding, and he wasted no time getting up to speed. Throughout the process, Drew was incredibly organized, so deft in coordinating our various vendors and ensured no one missed a beat during the wedding weekend. An added bonus for us was his deep familiarity running weddings at Iron Gate (our venue) so he was able to draw on that expertise to help us think through details big and small - be it floor plans, string quartet placement, or simply where to set up favors and the welcome table. A consummate professional as well as a genuine, kind person, can't recommend Drew enough and when you hire him, know you are in great hands!

    Amazing and detailed day-of coordinator

    Drew came recommended to us by our venue, Mess Hall and he did not disappoint! He met with us before the wedding both in-person and virtually to get an idea of what we wanted and helped to iron out details that would've slipped through the cracks. He was able to give recommendations for other vendors, and was instrumental in our wedding running without any stress to the couple. He is personable, thoughtful, detail-oriented, and we had the best experience with him.
