“Mari is IT. My husband and I met with a handful of coordinators who all seemed qualified and capable, but none that seemed to vibe with our energy UNTIL we met Mari! Right away she was calming and tuned in and warm. She felt like someone we would hang out with but then make that person an organizational wizard.As first time wedders, who had never imagined a specific wedding day aesthetic or theme, we would frequently worry this whole thing might not come together. But IT DID under Mari's expert guidance! And not only was it a big success (imo) she also never made us feel dumb or wrong or like bad engaged people for breaking tradition or for asking if we need Welcome signs. Mari was very good about holding us to our deadlines but not hounding us. When we felt like we were months behind she assured us we were in a good place.And then the day of the wedding, Mari and Anjeanette, were like the 1992 US Men's Olympic basketball team! When we (or our family) had specific things they wanted to include, Shaymah was able to prioritize these traditions/inclusions and seamlessly integrate them into the larger whole. “From our first conversation with Rina from Shining Time about a year ago from today, I am more than happy with my choice. Rina communicated clearly through all email, Zoom, and text, making it easy to stay connected throughout the planning process. What impressed me the most was her attention to detail. She delicately integrated all my diy items, (Place Card, party favor bags, bar sign, farewell candy), in an aesthetic way into the wedding. Even though the DIY items were not high value items, but my mom and I spent a lot of time working on it. The way she elegantly placed every item, elevating the whole venue look which I didn't know was possible, I really appreciated that. Rina and her team were genuinely warm and welcoming to our entire family. We couldn't have asked for better partners to work with, and we'd recommend them to any couple looking for a planner who goes above and beyond.”

“After our initial call with Meghan, my (now) husband and I knew that we needed to hire her for our wedding. She spoke with a lot of confidence and experience, and her energy was exactly what we were looking for in a wedding coordinator. In the planning stages, Meghan responded to emails promptly if we had any questions, and her planning guide and recommended vendor directory were so helpful in keeping us organized throughout the planning process. We booked many of the vendors from that directory, and the day came together so well because of the cohesiveness of all the vendors. The wedding day itself is where Meghan really shined. She got to our venue early and checked in to see how everything was going, and then immediately got to work.The ceremony and reception spaces were set up exactly how we imagined they would be, and set up was so ahead of schedule that we were even able to start the ceremony 15 minutes early because there was a threat of rain in the area. Throughout the reception, Meghan also checked in to make sure everything was going exactly how we wanted. And at the end of the night, she packed up all of our decor and organized the cleanup so we were out of the venue in a flash and off to our after party back at the hotel. I cannot emphasize how much Meghan went above and beyond, not just for my husband and me, but also for our guests, going as far as to get a toothpick from her car for one of our guests. With Meghan running the show, we were able to relax and fully enjoy our wedding day with our friends and family and not worry about a thing, because we knew she had everything under control. Run, don’t walk, to book her for your wedding!”

“Courtney review Courtney was the coordinator for our Sunday afternoon wedding at Patterson Mansion in Dupont Circle. From the moment we met, her joyful energy exuded from her and I knew that she would do everything she could to ensure we felt the same way. And she way over delivered! Courtney was organized and extremely communicative with us and our vendors. She had a clear sequence of agenda items for our check ins and was always on time and prepared. This was all wonderful and set a strong foundation for the day of. Courtney truly went above and beyond on wedding day. She set up the room more beautifully than I ever could have hoped for and brought tears to my eyes. She handled unexpected guests with calm and poise and ensured everyone had a place to be and a meal to eat. I’m sure many brides understand that I was about to lose my mind, but Courtney just had it. She made it happen and I didn’t have to think about it at all. It was an absolutely gorgeous day and so much of that is thanks to Courtney’s presence, organization, energy, and kindness.
