I have been planning weddings and events for 17 years. After college, I worked as a meeting planner for several years, while also earning my International Wedding Planning Professional certification (IWPP). My love of special events is what convinced me to start my own business. I love working with clients to create their perfect vision. My goal is to take away the stress of the day so that my clients are able to enjoy themselves. I am able to help by suggesting venues and vendors, site visits and contracting, communicating and working with vendors, on-site coordination, setup, and post-event cleanup and follow-up.
I believe that the success of an event lies in the preparation and details. The thought that goes into those little touches will make your event memorable. I specialize in helping clients plan within a budget, often assisting with DIY projects to create beautiful décor elements. I also have a large collection of event supplies and décor that I make available to my clients to help alleviate costs. I am well-trained in negotiating contracts, and I love helping clients decide on an overall look and design for their event. I always remain calm, and am a great problem-solver, so my clients don't have to worry about anything on their special day.

The wedding planner that you need!
Diane Ricker of Devine Event Design is a true professional. Diane was the day-of planner for my daughters wedding. She went above and beyond to ensure that the wedding was perfect. Her services include pre-planning, planning meetings, rehearsals, wedding day set-up, handling vendors, ensuring that everything was perfect and that the wedding went of without a single problem. She orchestrated the entire day. We would not have been able to pull off this perfect day without Diane. After the wedding, she stayed and packed up everything that we used for the wedding so that they pick up the next day was tremendously easy. Diane is top notch start to finish. I highly recommend hiring Diane - you will be amazed at how well she plans and handles the entire process. In addition, she is nicest person and fun to work with! I will be sharing our experience with anyone needing a wedding planner !

AMAZING
Diane was absolutely incredible as our wedding coordinator. Our wedding day was perfect for us and it would not have been possible without Diane's monumental efforts throughout our wedding weekend. Her work is precise, passionate, and detail-oriented. She worked so well with our bridal party and our family members that were helping support our wedding day and it turned out exactly as we had imagined! She was very professional and timely throughout the coordinating process and offered so many tips and ideas that were the perfect addition to our wedding ceremony and reception. Diane was THE BEST decision I made for my wedding!
Diane was easily the best decision I made for my wedding. From the very beginning she had lots of helpful planning documents, answered every question I had, gave us ideas when we couldn't figure out how or when we wanted something to happen for our special day, stayed over time on our planning / check in calls to make sure we felt that we covered everything, and did all of this with a smile and supportive, kind attitude. You're going to spend a lot of time with your wedding planner / coordinator, so it's important that they're a good person and you like them! Well Diane is a gem of a human being, and I really do feel like I made a forever friend in her. Throughout the planning process and on the day, there were times when I just needed emotional support, and she was there for me. Her communication is prompt, consistent, and thorough. She got back to me on every email in a timely manner with all the answers I needed. I didn't realize at the time but strong communication was probably the MOST important aspect that made working with vendors 1000x better, and Diane excelled at it. Additionally, in the lead up to my wedding day and on the day itself, Diane was on top of EVERY detail. She went above and beyond to make sure that everything was PERFECT - just as I always dreamed it would be. From helping me iron my wedding dress while my bridesmaids and I were getting our makeup done to overseeing every vendor arrival and setup to making sure transitions from each part of the day were smooth - she did it all. No detail was too small for her, and because she's a total professional, she thought of everything! I cannot say enough good things about Diane, her abilities as a planner, and her warmth as a person. She will be the best decision that you make for your wedding, too.

The BEST and SWEETEST Planner---EVER!!!
Diane was an absolute joy to work with. Her communication was impeccable--she is so organized, patient, and kind! Diane made sure everything ran smoothly on the day-of and was excellent in communicating every step of the way. She eased our couple's nerves and handled everything perfectly. Our couple trusted Diane wholeheartedly and she made their day absolutely amazing. I am so appreciative for her assistance and communication - it made navigating vendors on the wedding day a breeze.
