I feel music and the emcee often makes or breaks a great wedding, so I spent considerable time reviewing possible DJs to work with. We ended up going to DJ Addison, who at the time was considered a "first-year DJ." He exceeded all expectations. Addison was simply a treat to work with in the planning stages and was exceptionally on point and professional during the wedding day. He's funny but classy, professional but not uptight, willing to make on-the-fly changes, and kept the dance floor hopping during the reception. From his bridal party introductions to saying goodbye at the end of the night, he was simply great. Our wedding was moved inside at the last minute due to rain and he somehow relocated his setup on the fly and didn't complain or seem stressed during the chaos. DJ Torpedo offers a really wonderful music planning app that is easy to understand and pick your songs from ceremony to reception. The app has YouTube integration that allows you to easily assemble your playlists. “Kelton was wonderful to work with from start to finish. He stuck with us even when we had to postpone our wedding for two years due to the pandemic, so we really appreciated his commitment to working with us. Kelton has a great system for figuring out your taste, priorities, and run of show. He set up very quickly at our venue, which was key given we were running on a tight schedule, and he managed to produce nice sound in a very cavernous space (no idea how!). He kept us running on time and made all transitions seamless. His music perfectly matched the vibe we wanted, starting with a relaxed cocktail hour and dinner, and gradually increasing the tempo into a full-scale dance party as the night went on. “The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”
