    Absolutely Wonderful DJ

    DJ Maskell is a must have DJ. We loved having him as a part of our wedding and we received so many compliments. He was able to read the room so well during the party and he really knows his way around a wedding front and back. He was incredibly helpful during the planning process and we felt so comfortable knowing our special day was in good hands. Don’t hesitate to book him as your DJ!

    THE BEST DJ EVER!

    I would give Dj Maskell a BILLION stars if I could! Not only was he the best wedding dj ever, he always played the biggest part in our wedding planning process. My husband and I are very adhd and we were dragging our feet to get all the little details figured out. Mark helped us get organized and even provided us with a super detailed spreadsheet with EVERYTHING involving our wedding to make sure nothing was missed. We booked him over 2 years before our wedding and every single time we reached out with questions, he responded immediately with answers. Anytime we needed to talk to him, he was able to schedule meetings with us right away. He met with us WEEKLY the month of our wedding to ensure everything was going exactly as planned and because of all of those things, we tell everyone Dj Maskell is the reason we were able to pull off our dream wedding. He was our “Master of Ceremonies” as well so he made sure everything went smoothly and everything stayed on schedule during our ceremony! Our ceremony was on the beach so we were worried our guests wouldn’t be able to hear us because of the wind, waves, etc. But Mark had discrete mics set up for us so everyone could hear us perfectly. He was able to use all the songs we wanted, even though some of them were only available on YouTube and SoundCloud. As for music, he absolutely KILLED IT! We are big into EDM, primarily dubstep, and he curated the perfect amount of our fave music, with music for the normies as well. My guests were hyping him up all weekend and even STILL text me saying how much they love him lol. I don’t write reviews often, but I wish I could shout from the rooftops how wonderful Mark is to work with, and how kind and helpful he really is. He not only played our wedding, but also our Welcome Party the night before AND Wedding After Party. He has the best energy and is HILARIOUS. He really brought all the vibes to make our wedding weekend absolutely perfect. PS: HIS LIGHT SHOW IS AMAZING!!! He has the coolest most discrete lights (you may be able to see in some of the pics I posted) and they are super slim and don’t get in the way. He let me control the lights at our after party lol!

    Fantastic DJ

    DJ Maskell was our wedding DJ and did a fantastic job. We worked together for over a year curating an experience for our guests and he did a fantatic job. He has an extensive light installation that he uses and created an amazing guest experience. He was also a pleasure to work with. Many of our guests commented on how great he was and a few who are planning weddings are looking to reach out to him. 10/10 would recommend!

    Must Have DJ!!

    I could not recommend DJ Mark Maskell more! If I could give him more than 5 stars I would. From our first zoom he was extremely professional and obviously loves his job and wants to make the day special for each couple. He turned our reception into the most fun dance party better than we imagined. He provides cocktail hour playlists, the most beautiful lighting and dance floor lighting to set the mood for the venue. Everyone had a blast, thanks to his amazing DJing with his incredible playlists and his ability to read the room. He even took pictures of our first dance, parents dances and electric dance floor moments that were so fun to see the next day! DJ Maskell is an all-around fantastic person to work with. We can’t recommend him enough! If you want someone who genuinely cares about making your wedding or event unforgettable, DJ Maskell is the the perfect fit! I would hire him again and again!!

    You NEED to book him

    Mark Maskell was absolutely incredible. Even though we had an all-inclusive venue, he was my one non-negotiable outside vendor from the very beginning. As someone who has been to a million weddings and genuinely loves music and going out, I hate cheesy wedding music and forced line dancing. Mark was the only DJ whose bio openly said that if you are looking for that vibe, he is not the DJ for you. That honesty alone sold me. From the start, Mark went far above and beyond what was included in our contract. He spent countless hours helping us curate our wedding timeline, reviewing my very Type A spreadsheets, and offering thoughtful guidance. He honestly felt more like a second wedding planner than just a DJ during the planning process. And the lights. The lighting setup and light show were unreal and completely elevated the entire experience. Mark truly curates the music and the atmosphere to you as a couple, not just a generic wedding crowd. On top of all that, he is just a genuinely wonderful human. Easy to connect with, great dark humor, ADHD energy that matched ours perfectly. He is someone I would happily hang out with on a random Tuesday. Our dance floor vibes were immaculate, and we were the only wedding I have ever attended that did not have a single technical issue on the DJ’s end. Truly flawless execution. 10/10 would recommend to literally anyone who wants their wedding to feel intentional, fun, and actually cool.

Dozens of uplights are included at no added cost for wedding bookings. Additional uplighting is available at industry standard rates. Full nightclub lighting is also available at no charge as long as your venue provides enough time for it to be set up and broken down.
Yes, I have played dozens of weddings with mixed cultures including Latin American, Persian, Arabic, French, Bosnian, Russian, Indian, and many many more. I always enjoy learning about new cultures and music and am happy to put in the extra time to familiarize myself with the music and weave it into a solid, mind-blowing, face-melting musical set.
All wedding bookings include all the necessary setup/performance/breakdown time, and there is no set limit for performance time, and there is no fee for extra hours. This means we can party until the sun comes up for no added fee, availability permitting of course.
Yes, I am happy to travel with all gear and production equipment up to 12 hours driving from DC at no additional cost when practical. Beyond that range, a customized quote is developed. I have done weddings domestically in: CA, DC, FL, IN, KY, MA, ME, MD, NY, NC, NH, NJ, PA, VA and internationally in: Lake Como (Italy)
In the absence of a coordinator, I work very closely with clients in the weeks and months leading up to the wedding to plot out the day-of logistics in extensive detail, coordinate with other vendors, then execute on the day-of. I also help you to organize, track, idiot-proof, and delegate certain tasks that a coordinator would normally handle, such as setup, decor, and cleanup.
There is no charge for providing music and wireless mics for an on-site ceremony. If you have a musician playing, DJ Maskell can provide sound support at no cost (wireless mics, belt packs, speakers, etc)
