Q: Do you learn new songs?

YES! This is one of our specialities. Although we already have a HUGE range of music in our catalog and in our knowledge from working in music, we LOVE learning new songs for an event. Our founder is musically trained and is used to learning new songs to actually perform in a short time, so this is second nature to us.

Q: How early do you come to set up?

We arrive minimum of 2hrs in advance of guests and the event starting. Why? Because we like to allow time for any unexpected changes that can occur in a venue or anything else that may come up. We like to be set up and ready to go early so that your event begins in a calm and smooth way.

Q: Do you take music requests?

We certainly can....however, we like to check in with our couples or whoever hires us to see what their preference is. Some couples don't want us to take any requests. If you do, we are more than happy to take requests and will accommodate them as best as we can. We come to your event with thousands of songs, so 99.9% of the time we can play a request anyone asks for.

Q: What do you wear?

We always check with our clients what the dress code is. Most often we dress formal. We can color coordinate according to the color theme of the event if necessary and/or wear a particular style. We like to glam it up a bit, as we love style, so you may see us in some fabulous metallic pants at one event, or in a strapless ballgown at another. It just depends on the dress code.

Q: Do you provide music for wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions?

We certainly do! We can provide stylish, low profile, speaker set ups for both ceremonies and cocktail receptions. We also can help you choose the perfect music for both these parts of the evening.

Q: Do you provide other services, such as lighting or photo booths?

We can provide uplighting and party dance floor lighting.

We are a WOMAN-OWNED and run boutique DJ Agency. We don't provide a cookie-cutter DJ service. We custom design the music to suit you and your fiance. We avoid the corny typical DJ experience so you get exactly what you want to hear at your wedding. We understand that DJing your event involves the perfect combination of bringing fun energy, choosing just the right music and being prepared. We always bring love and FUN to every event we are part of.

After working the events and service industry for years as a musician and DJ, our founder Gemma wanted to start the kind of DJ business she would have liked when she was planning her own wedding. Someone easy and fun to talk to, that understood her musical needs. We love working with couples to create the perfect soundtrack. We truly care about everyone we work with. We are really 'down to earth', we pay great attention to detail in the event planning, timeline and music playlists and we make sure every event is custom designed just for you.

You need Gemma for your wedding. Gemma was our favorite vendor to work with throughout the wedding planning process. She is a professional through and through. She leaves no stone unturned and makes sure to be communicative during the months leading up to your wedding. She is highly organized and helped us organize our own thoughts and dreams for the wedding music by providing a very detailed google sheet that we used as a reference for months. She recommended our last dance song, and it ended up being one of my favorite memories of the weekend. She called us to go over the timeline. She gave us guidance when we needed it. And she collaborated so well with our other vendors. Several people told my family members that our wedding was the best wedding they have ever been to, and I really do think that Gemma played a huge role in those glowing reviews. The music was SO GOOD and exactly what we wanted to keep our guests on the dance floor for 3 hours straight. Oh, and I forgot to mention she was filming on super 8 throughout the day. What CAN'T she do? Gemma, we will see you at our vow renewal parties for decades to come.

Choosing Luvdup DJs (Gemma, specifically) as the DJ for our September 2025 wedding was the single best choice we made throughout the process. Gemma's style is so cool, fun, and not at all cheesy and working with her was incredibly seamless and stress-free. From the initial phone call to the actual day-of and every planning call in between, Gemma took so much time to make all the music moments feel so "us." She set the coolest vibe, read the room perfectly for what our crowd wanted, and captured moments on video out of the kindness of her heart, which was so special to us. Gemma, you are so talented!!! We have no words for how much fun we and all of our guests had (they told us repeatedly) and how much everyone loved your vibe. We had SO many guests tell us that our wedding was the most fun they’ve ever had at a wedding and so much of that was because of you. Endless thanks, we love you!

Gemma is the coolest, sweetest person! Her communication throughout the planning process was great. She made everything super easy & collaborative. I highly suggest adding her photobooth - it was a massive hit. Our guests have not stopped talking about her amazing playlist. She really knows how to throw a party - I cannot recommend her services enough!
