Q: Do you learn new songs?

YES! This is one of our specialities. Although we already have a HUGE range of music in our catalog and in our knowledge from working in music, we LOVE learning new songs for an event. Our founder is musically trained and is used to learning new songs to actually perform in a short time, so this is second nature to us.

Q: How early do you come to set up?

We arrive minimum of 2hrs in advance of guests and the event starting. Why? Because we like to allow time for any unexpected changes that can occur in a venue or anything else that may come up. We like to be set up and ready to go early so that your event begins in a calm and smooth way.

Q: Do you take music requests?

We certainly can....however, we like to check in with our couples or whoever hires us to see what their preference is. Some couples don't want us to take any requests. If you do, we are more than happy to take requests and will accommodate them as best as we can. We come to your event with thousands of songs, so 99.9% of the time we can play a request anyone asks for.

Q: What do you wear?

We always check with our clients what the dress code is. Most often we dress formal. We can color coordinate according to the color theme of the event if necessary and/or wear a particular style. We like to glam it up a bit, as we love style, so you may see us in some fabulous metallic pants at one event, or in a strapless ballgown at another. It just depends on the dress code.

Q: Do you provide music for wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions?

We certainly do! We can provide stylish, low profile, speaker set ups for both ceremonies and cocktail receptions. We also can help you choose the perfect music for both these parts of the evening.

Q: Do you provide other services, such as lighting or photo booths?

We can provide uplighting and party dance floor lighting.

We are a WOMAN-OWNED and run boutique DJ Agency. We don't provide a cookie-cutter DJ service. We custom design the music to suit you and your fiance. We avoid the corny typical DJ experience so you get exactly what you want to hear at your wedding. We understand that DJing your event involves the perfect combination of bringing fun energy, choosing just the right music and being prepared. We always bring love and FUN to every event we are part of.

After working the events and service industry for years as a musician and DJ, our founder Gemma wanted to start the kind of DJ business she would have liked when she was planning her own wedding. Someone easy and fun to talk to, that understood her musical needs. We love working with couples to create the perfect soundtrack. We truly care about everyone we work with. We are really 'down to earth', we pay great attention to detail in the event planning, timeline and music playlists and we make sure every event is custom designed just for you.

Luv'dup DJs and DJ Steven were amazing and we highly recommend them! From the beginning, the full Luv'dup team was great with communication and coordinating our plans, which was very helpful for us to not have to worry about in the months leading up to our wedding. They were also flexible and quick to help when we had a few last minute questions and additions, with fair pricing throughout. And DJ Steven in particular was amazing to work with it. Starting with our initial call, he worked hard to get a real understanding of the music and energy we were looking for at our reception, and then on the day itself everything went perfectly--the music was great, with not one missed beat or lull in the energy, and everyone had a great time from start to finish.

We had a great experience with DJ Amber at our wedding at Terrain at Styer’s! The Luvdup DJ team met with us numerous times in the weeks before the wedding to be sure that they knew our taste in music, and that we were comfortable with their plan for the evening. They were flexible in sticking to our requested playlist when asked, but they were also able to choose great songs that fit the vibe of the wedding as it evolved through the evening. Amber did a great job of reading the room and responding to guest reactions to certain songs and types of music. We would highly recommend Amber and Luvdup!

Luvdup DJs was absolutely incredible to work with for our wedding! From the very first phone call, Gemma was incredibly helpful, informative, and responsive to all of our questions and requests. She took the time to understand our music preferences and vision for the reception, and crafted a personalized playlist that kept our dance floor packed all night long. Gemma's energetic and fun approach really set the perfect tone, and we received so many compliments from our guests on how great the music was. I knew within the first 5 minutes of the onboarding call with Gemma that she and her team were the right fit for us. I was looking for a DJ for our 70 person wedding. She called me to see what I was looking for - the vibe, my dealbreakers - and we just talked so easily. Not only does she offer DJ services, but I was able to add a full photography package as well. That was perfect for my needs as I wanted a team that vibed and knew how to coordinate well together. She and the team were incredibly supportive throughout the process and we had several calls leading up to the wedding to cover details so I felt very confident they had the whole program under control. We added a private vow ceremony and that adjustment was no trouble for the team - it was my favorite part of the entire day so I am so glad we added it. On the day of the wedding Gemma, Kelton, and Hannah all showed up with such great spirit and we felt so relaxed with them. It was a delight to work with them and the photos absolutely show it! I enjoyed every moment and it was thanks to their hard work that the day went so smoothly!
