I’ve been a touring drummer for the last decade with Pattern is Movement. I’ve had the pleasure to share the stage with artists like The Roots, St. Vincent, Dirty Projectors, Shabazz Palaces and tour all around the world. I’ve also been booking shows for years at Philly’s own Johnny Brenda’s. My life revolves around music and that is why I love to DJ.
All of my years of listening to and performing music have helped me hone my ability to read a crowd and when I’m spinning a wedding – my focus is to get and keep the party going. So, when you hire me, you’ll get a DJ who is emotionally invested in your day. We’ll work together to figure out the songs you’ve got to hear on that special day as well the ones you do not want played. My job is to get everyone dancing from your Grandma to your best friend and I take that responsibility seriously!

This is my most common package. Most weddings have a cocktail hour that is not within the reception space. I will bring a PA for the cocktail hour as well as my usual Reception setup.

WE ARE HUGE FANS OF CHRIS
My now husband and I just got married on 02.27.26 and working with Chris was a dream. When it came time to plan our wedding, we always we knew we wanted a DJ who does things their own way and not a “traditional” wedding DJ/MC. From our very first touch point, we knew Chris was the one. His branding alone says it all — if you are looking for someone to just play the top 100 wedding hits and nothing else, then you’re probably in the wrong place. Music is extremely important to us and was one of the top things that mattered to us for our wedding to create a certain type of vibe. We love all different genres of music but also have a special place in our hearts for EDM, for example. We wanted someone who would incorporate elements of all our favorite genres and mix it well. We learned on our first phone call that Chris is a musician by trade, worked at Johnny Brenda’s booking shows and events for over a decade, and continues to share his love for music as an adjunct professor during the week and as a DJ on weekends. I say this because all of this was a huge selling point for us: Chris is someone who knows music and knows it well. He knows how to take someone else’s interests and song selections and build on top of that to tell a story. His passion is palpable from talking to him and we had so much fun chatting on the phone and geeking out about music. This brings me to my next point: the collaboration process was extremely seamless and easy. He uses a tool called Vibo where there’s a schedule in which you can input song choices for each section of the night. He used this as the master list and when it came time for our final planning meeting, this really helped guide the conversation around the flow of events for the evening as well as other artists and songs we might be interested in. Chris had also worked at our venue (Philadelphia Distilling) before so he knew a lot about the run of the show and how the space worked which was incredibly helpful. To say Chris understood the assignment is underselling it — he totally knocked it out of the park. Our guest list which ranged all ages was eating that playlist UP. Several people came up to us saying “I can’t believe he played Bad Bunny, this is the COOLEST wedding I’ve ever been to by far”. I honestly get emotional just writing this because all we ever wanted was to create something our guests would love and music is so essential to the environment you’re in, and Chris nailed it. 1000000/10 would recommend him over and over again to anyone looking for a wedding or event DJ that will listen to you, collaborate with you, and throw an AMAZING party that people will be talking about for years to come.

If you’re considering Chris - The Other Wedding DJ, his name truly says it all. Chris did not just DJ our wedding. He helped curate it. Every part of the music was customized around our preferences, our vision, and the exact feeling we wanted in the room. He absolutely nailed it. He completely altered the words of our first dance song so it reflected our story. He started songs at unexpected moments to create specific emotional shifts for our guests. Every transition felt intentional. It felt personal. Nothing felt generic or routine. It all felt like us. What made the experience even more meaningful was his kindness and his heart. On a day that can feel overwhelming, he was calm, present, and genuinely invested in making sure we felt supported. His energy was warm and steady, and that mattered more than we can explain. We truly believe music is the most important part of a wedding outside of love itself. Sometimes music is what translates that love to everyone in the room. Chris understood that from the very beginning. No matter what our musical limitations or unique requests were, he accepted them wholeheartedly and turned them into something magical. He helped to create a vibe that everyone felt and it’s because he trusted us. We are so incredibly grateful for our choice.

The BEST wedding dj!!
Chris was an absolute dream to work with. We have a very particular music taste and he worked with us to make it fun for both us and our guests!! We even had a ska section of our party and he had everyone up and dancing!! People still talk about how amazing the music was at our wedding. He respected our must haves and had so many wonderful suggestions on what to play during every section of our wedding. His set up is also absolutely beautiful. The app he had us use to make our playlists was also super helpful. He was kind and lovely and everything we wanted in a wedding dj. Book Chris, you will not regret it!!
