I’ve been a touring drummer for the last decade with Pattern is Movement. I’ve had the pleasure to share the stage with artists like The Roots, St. Vincent, Dirty Projectors, Shabazz Palaces and tour all around the world. I’ve also been booking shows for years at Philly’s own Johnny Brenda’s. My life revolves around music and that is why I love to DJ.
All of my years of listening to and performing music have helped me hone my ability to read a crowd and when I’m spinning a wedding – my focus is to get and keep the party going. So, when you hire me, you’ll get a DJ who is emotionally invested in your day. We’ll work together to figure out the songs you’ve got to hear on that special day as well the ones you do not want played. My job is to get everyone dancing from your Grandma to your best friend and I take that responsibility seriously!

This is my most common package. Most weddings have a cocktail hour that is not within the reception space. I will bring a PA for the cocktail hour as well as my usual Reception setup.

Chris is amazing!
Chris was incredible, and we loved working with him! Over the course of planning our wedding (at Lilah, in Philly), he spent hours with us on the phone working to understand our musical taste and what we wanted out of our party; he’s incredibly knowledgable about music, and cares deeply about getting the music and vibe right for each couple. We have varied musical tastes (dancepop, 70s/80s classics, jazz, folk rock, soul, funk), and Chris did an amazing job of coming to understand what kind of music would make for a perfect evening for us as a couple. The proof was at our wedding reception itself: we had an absolute blast dancing, and Chris kept a huge portion of guests dancing for the whole evening. The energy was exactly right: one guest who told me that he never dances at weddings was dancing all night, and said it was the most fun he’d had at a wedding since his own wedding decades ago! Chris was also super helpful in helping with amplification for the ceremony, and with curating the musical vibe we wanted for our cocktail hour, and with coordinating our family hora. It was super easy and enjoyable to communicate with Chris throughout the process, and to use the Vibo platform to plan out our musical requests. Overall, he was a pleasure to work with, and we would recommend him without reservation to any couple for whom good music and dancing are a priority!

We highly recommend Chris for your DJ and Emcee needs! From our first conversation, we knew we had found a great match. Chris is friendly, funny, and incredibly professional, which made the entire planning process feel easy and stress-free. He utilizes an easy-to-use software and schedules a few separate calls throughout the planning phase to help turn your ideas about the music into a solid plan for the day. What really impressed us was how seriously he took our custom requests. He didn't just nod along; he actually incorporated our ideas perfectly and even went above and beyond to honor a very special request by merging two versions of a song together for us! His professionalism shined through in how organized he was, but he never lost that warm, approachable vibe that made us feel heard. The quality of his work was top-notch, and honestly, he was worth every penny. We'd book Chris again in a heartbeat!

I HIGHLY recommend working with The Other Wedding DJ. Chris DJ'ed our wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) at Terrain at Styer's. Working with Chris is a wonderful experience. He is responsive, collaborative, thoughtful, and clearly cared so deeply about our experience. We had multiple calls to discuss the music we wanted. He really made sure he understood exactly what we wanted to achieve at every part of the night. He helped us curate the perfect playlist and experience for our guests. I felt so comfortable with our music in Chris' hands. We had multiple guests tell us how much they loved the DJ!

Best Music Ever!
Chris is a phenomenal DJ and we are so happy that we found him for our wedding! He is a musician and genuinely LOVES music and you can tell immediately from the way he approaches curating wedding music. He took the time to get to know my husband and I's style of music and created possibly the best flow of music that I've ever witnessed from a DJ. He seamlessly connected all of our requests with other music that fit our "vibe" and made the dance floor so so fun. It represented our music taste while making it fun for our guests, It was hard to leave the dance floor even for a moment because every single song was a banger. Thank you, Chris!

THE BEST wedding DJ!!!
We COULD NOT have asked for a more amazing DJ for our wedding!!! Like, truly. DJ Chris is talented, kind, & professional and -bonus - actually reasonable priced. After talking to a few other companies we quickly realized that we didn't want a whole dog and pony show, we wanted a DJ who had amazing music and a great vibe and would work with us to make our wedding a blast. Literally Chris came through in every way! Even our friends and family commented on how wonderful the music was at our wedding. From the get go, Chris worked with us, had clear communication, and a fantastic and easy way of getting our music preferences sorted. I couldn’t recommend him more!
