I’ve been a touring drummer for the last decade with Pattern is Movement. I’ve had the pleasure to share the stage with artists like The Roots, St. Vincent, Dirty Projectors, Shabazz Palaces and tour all around the world. I’ve also been booking shows for years at Philly’s own Johnny Brenda’s. My life revolves around music and that is why I love to DJ.
All of my years of listening to and performing music have helped me hone my ability to read a crowd and when I’m spinning a wedding – my focus is to get and keep the party going. So, when you hire me, you’ll get a DJ who is emotionally invested in your day. We’ll work together to figure out the songs you’ve got to hear on that special day as well the ones you do not want played. My job is to get everyone dancing from your Grandma to your best friend and I take that responsibility seriously!

This is my most common package. Most weddings have a cocktail hour that is not within the reception space. I will bring a PA for the cocktail hour as well as my usual Reception setup.

The Other Wedding DJ is a Master!
We cannot say enough great things about Chris (aka the Other Wedding DJ). His insight leading up to our wedding at Valley Green Inn was extremely helpful, he worked with us on our vision and gave great advice on which songs to include, how to plan the day in a way that is advantageous to sound engineering, etc. And that is to say nothing of Chris's absolutely stellar performance at the wedding itself. The dance floor was packed from start to finish and that is a huge testament to Chris's skill for feeling the vibe and flow of the evening. If you want a DJ who is a true partner for your wedding and who will put their expertise and skill to use to carry out your vision, Chris is your guy. Cannot recommend him enough.

Chris killed it! We were so happy with our reception. He perfectly captured the vibe we wanted to create - dinner and on the dance floor. The Perfect Dance Party!
Working with The Other Wedding DJ for our wedding was a great decision! The music was absolutely perfect, it fit our personalities and styles perfectly, and the dance party was one to remember! Best Dance Party!
Everyone told me the next day how amazing my DJ was for the wedding. You MUST hire Chris for a guaranteed best dance party and all around easy fun experience. Our dance floor was packed all night and it was VERY hot out- the music was that good! Chris is an encyclopedia of music knowledge. He will guide you to craft the most amazing moments during the cermony. He is such an amazing guide for how to structure the day and music. He knows his role is important and takes it seriously. He’s hip, modern, and a truly great person in addition to a talented professional.

Amazing Music, Seamless Night, Packed Dance Floor
Chris did an amazing job at our wedding! From the beginning, he took the time to understand what we wanted and made the whole process incredibly easy. We had a somewhat unconventional self-uniting ceremony, and he made sure everything flowed seamlessly and that we had everything we needed to execute it the way we envisioned. He also worked all of our music selections into the timeline perfectly and checked in with us closer to the wedding so everyone was on the same page. What stood out most was how much he genuinely cared about how the night went. It never felt like he was just there to do the bare minimum; he clearly takes a lot of pride in his work and wanted everything to go well for us. And the dance floor absolutely reflected that. I tried to stay out there all night because the vibe was so good, and so many of our guests raved about the music afterward. I would absolutely recommend The Other Wedding DJ to anyone who wants a great night, a packed dance floor, and one less thing to worry about on their wedding day.
