For what it’s worth, I’ve been a DJ my entire career. I started off in radio, where I worked at Penn’s WXPN, among others. I started “No Macarena” at the height of the line dance craze and have been in the wedding business ever since. I love what I do. I get to DJ and make people happy on one of the biggest days of their life. Other loves are singing with two different bands, biking the Schuylkill River Trail, trolling BuzzFeed for dinner ideas and crafting the perfect cocktail.

    No Macarena and our DJ Jonas Oesterle were a perfect fit for our wedding. They were super budget friendly, which was important to us, and easy to communicate with. My husband and I didn’t want the traditional DJ/MC experience we see at many weddings and that’s No Macarena’s main goal. Jonas did a great job at keeping the night moving with necessary announcements, had just the right amount of energy, and really took our playlists (which were incredibly long) and played the perfect mix of music. We didn’t have a very large wedding but the dance floor was full for most of the night!

    Alex was truly a dream to work with! From calls to understand our vision, to his MC skills, and keeping the dancefloor a party all night, we couldn’t have asked for a better DJ! Nomacarena was great to work with and accommodating of all budgets!

    From the beginning the folks at No Macarena were so kind and helpful when planning our wedding. Sarah explained the process and was just genuinely friendly to chat with on our initial call. Leading up to our event, we worked with our DJ Josh on every detail & he was so flexible and accommodating to a ton of last minute song changes on our part. We had even planned a live song performance by the groom & wedding party relatively last minute that he swooped in and helped us manage with additional equipment, sound checking, and timeline finagling. He worked with our venue, coordinator, and their techs to make everything work seamlessly. Never once did they make us feel like a request was too difficult to manage - Josh was so nice and helpful the day of and everything went off without a hitch. I highly recommend No Macarena - affordable for the services they provide, and great to work with.

    Darrel was our DJ, and he was absolutely AMAZING! From the start, he really listened to the vibe we were going for and made sure to incorporate most of our playlist, along with some fantastic additional tracks that kept the energy high. We were dancing all night! Since my husband and his family are musicians, choosing the right DJ was really important to us—and something we spent time researching. No Macarena DJ stood out because they offer a range of services, including live music, and they’re musicians themselves. We were looking for someone with music in their blood who could bring the funk and keep the party going—and Darrel checked every box. He had the barn bouncin’ all night long! Another thing we loved is that they don’t rely on the same tired wedding playlist you hear at every reception. The music felt fresh and totally us. Plus, Darrel doesn’t talk over the music or interrupt the flow of the night—unless you ask him to. His presence was professional and smooth, letting the music do the work, which we really appreciated
