Now with over 20 years of experience, No Macarena DJ & Custom Music Service offers an alternative to the typical wedding DJ experience. Based in Philadelphia, PA, we specialize in customized, music-focused events for couples who want their wedding to feel like them. Originally founded by seasoned DJ Kim Alexander, No Macarena DJ is now led by Sarah and Chris Brandt along with a team of experienced, knowledgeable, musically obsessed DJs. From indie favorites and throwbacks to packed-dance-floor classics, we help turn your request list into your best night ever.

No cheesy gimmicks, props, banners or chatty DJs. Rather than lead the line dance, they'll line up the perfect dance set. Because the spotlight is yours — not theirs. No Macarena DJ & Custom Music Service is available to provide on-location entertainment to weddings throughout Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York, and Delaware. . The option of a do-not-play list will give couples peace of mind that every song played is truly theirs. Additional services we offer: Photo Booth, Live Music for ceremony, cocktail hour and as a hybrid with live drums, sax, and guitar with DJ, and Lighting.

Go with No Macarena
Working with No Macarena was great from start to finish. The team was clear about expectations and quick to respond when we had questions. We had Josh as our DJ and he really took our inspiration lists and built a playlist that worked for every part of the night (ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing). His announcements kept things moving smoothly, and the sound quality was great. After the wedding he sent us a recording of our ceremony, vows, and all the speeches so we could re-listen to those moments whenever we wanted - which was a complete surprise! Josh kept our guests dancing and made our celebration feel like us.

Bilingual Dance Floor
DJ Andres from No Macarena gave us the best dance party! We had a bilingual crowd and were worried about how to bring balance and keep everyone on the dance floor. He met with us as many times as we needed to make sure we had the songs perfected. He was amazing to work with. No Macarena was recommended to me by a colleague whose cousin used them and they did not disappoint! I would recommend this team to anyone

DJ Andres IS THE BEST EVER!
DJ Andres IS THE BEST EVER! From our very first meeting, Andres was professional, organized, and incredibly thorough. He took the time to go over every detail of our wedding in advance, and every conversation left us feeling more calm, confident, and excited for our big day. He is truly one of those rare vendors who reduces stress instead of adding to it. One of the most meaningful parts of our wedding was finding ways to include my husband's family, who were unable to be with us in person. As a bilingual DJ, Andres went above and beyond to help bridge the distance. Not only did he seamlessly translate throughout the day so both sides could fully participate, but he also helped us incorporate recorded toasts and readings from family members abroad into our ceremony and reception. He managed the technology, Zoom connection, microphones, and audio flawlessly, allowing our loved ones to hear everything clearly and feel truly present despite being hundreds of miles away. Beyond his technical skills, Andres has an incredible ability to read a room!!!!!!! Our wedding brought together people from different cultures, backgrounds, generations, and languages, and he navigated it all amazingly. He knew when to translate, when to energize the crowd, and when to let special moments speak for themselves. Most importantly, he kept the dance floor packed all night long! Guests are still telling us how much fun they had, and we know Andres played a huge role in creating that experience. If you're looking for a DJ who is talented, bilingual, professional, adaptable, and genuinely invested in making your day special, DJ Andres is the BEST. We are so grateful for everything he did to help make our wedding unforgettable.

Easy and Fun!
Working with No Macarena DJ & Custom Music Service was such a smooth experience from start to finish. They were responsive to all our questions and made the planning process simple by using a shared Google doc to coordinate our reception events and music choices. On the day of our wedding, they kept the party going all night long and our guests were dancing the entire time. The photobooth add-on they offered was excellent and gave everyone a fun way to capture memories. We loved that we could easily share our song requests and preferences with them through the doc, so they really understood what we wanted. We'd recommend them to any couple looking for a DJ who listens and delivers.

From the very beginning, Sarah made the process seamless—she reached out to set up our initial virtual meeting to learn about our style, preferences, and vision. She then paired us with Andres, who was absolutely fantastic. Leading up to the wedding, Andres met with us multiple times to make sure every detail was covered. He was incredibly organized, attentive, and thoughtful throughout the process. On the big day, Andres and his assistant Jamie went above and beyond. They kept the flow of the evening smooth and stress-free, making adjustments on the spot with total ease and flexibility. The music itself was phenomenal—the mixing kept the energy high, the transitions were perfect, and it truly felt personalized to us. They helped create an atmosphere that made the day feel so special. We couldn’t recommend No Macarena DJ & Custom Music Service enough for anyone looking for a detail-oriented, professional, and fun DJ team. They were an absolute highlight of our wedding!
