About this venue
Terrain at Styer's, is located on the historic site of J. Franklin Styer's nursery, a Philadelphia landmark for over 100 years. With over five acres of everchanging blooms and greenery combined with a variety of historic spaces, the property serves as a stunning setting for celebrations of all kinds for up to 110 people. In addition to our bespoke event spaces, Terrain at Styer’s boasts a terrain retail store and Terrain Cafe. Terrain at Styer's is located just 40 minutes outside of Philadelphia at 914 Baltimore Pike Glen Mills, PA 19342.

The Garden Shed
A beautifully rustic space paired with modern amenities for celebrations of all kinds.
The Garden Shed boasts original features that are complemented by contemporary additions and amenities to create a charming and rustic setting for celebrations year-round. Enjoy access to the adjoining Hot House, which serves as an extension of the reception room. With ample space for both dining and dancing, the room features barnwood floors, twinkling festival lights, farmhouse tables and seating, and rotating seasonal adornments.

Bride
Having our wedding at Terrain was the best decision ever! The venue is GORGEOUS. We added minimal florals and personal touches which was more than enough since the venue has so much on its own. The food is delicious and so accommodating to different needs or preferences. Our wedding planner Maura did a great job communicating with us and walking us through everything. I loved having both an indoor and outdoor space so it wasn’t even something I had to worry about until that day. The venue as a whole was worth every penny and helped alleviate so much stress!
Perfect wedding
Terrain at Styer's was the perfect venue for our wedding day. Their communication style was efficient, professional and helpful from start to finish. The quality of their work and overall value was perfect - the venue was convenient and inclusive, with everything we needed in one beautiful space. They checked in on me periodically throughout the day without being overbearing, helped my decorator with setup to make sure everything looked great, and moved the timeline along efficiently without rushing us. Additionally, they were extremely accommodating to food allergies and all of our guests raved about how delicious the food was. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding day experience.
Dream Wedding!
You likely won't have a better experience elsewhere. Carla & the rest of the team took such great care of us, never made me feel like I was asking too much or being too needy. They were incredible throughout the planning process, but day of service really blew us away. They were so thoughtful & careful with us & our families. We heard from multiple guests that this was the best wedding food they've ever had. Food & drinks truly felt elevated & unique. Everyone left full & happy! Our wedding was more gorgeous than we had even imagined & we owe it all to the staff at Terrain.
The best decision I made!
There aren't enough positive things that I can say about Terrain and their team! I knew well before my wedding day that picking Terrain for our wedding was going to be the best decision I made, and I was SO right. Planning was smooth, well thought out, and easy! Carla was my coordinator and WHAT A BOSS!!! Between the planning process being fun with her to the day where rain came semi unexpectedly and Carla perfectly timed the ceremony in between boughts of rain, ensuring we could utilize the beautiful temple area for the ceremony. The team squeegeed the aisle and chairs for the guests to ensure their comfort which was truly beyond what I had ever thought of! Every guest raved about how incredibly well the entire evening ran, they loved the gorgeous property, and the food was not only raved about but it was so plentiful that one of our guests genuinely thought that there was not a sit down dinner after cocktail hour because they had access to so many different hors d'oeuvres! Not only did the guests enjoy the whole evening, but my husband, our parents, and myself all felt BEYOND taken care of all day by all of the staff. I truly did not think once the entire event and that's just a nod to how well taken care of you are the entire time. My bridal attendants were attentive, helped me with a dress change, and all around hyped me up throughout the day, adding to the joy of it all! As a wedding vendor myself (photographer) I can not speak highly enough about Terrain and their staff at Styer's. It's a literal no brainer to book with them!
