About this venue
Terrain at Styer's, is located on the historic site of J. Franklin Styer's nursery, a Philadelphia landmark for over 100 years. With over five acres of everchanging blooms and greenery combined with a variety of historic spaces, the property serves as a stunning setting for celebrations of all kinds for up to 110 people. In addition to our bespoke event spaces, Terrain at Styer’s boasts a terrain retail store and Terrain Cafe. Terrain at Styer's is located just 40 minutes outside of Philadelphia at 914 Baltimore Pike Glen Mills, PA 19342.

The Garden Shed
A beautifully rustic space paired with modern amenities for celebrations of all kinds.
The Garden Shed boasts original features that are complemented by contemporary additions and amenities to create a charming and rustic setting for celebrations year-round. Enjoy access to the adjoining Hot House, which serves as an extension of the reception room. With ample space for both dining and dancing, the room features barnwood floors, twinkling festival lights, farmhouse tables and seating, and rotating seasonal adornments.

Best Wedding our Guests has been to
Terrain does a lot of weddings, and that experience shows. They know what works and what doesn't. Our wedding was seamless and the staff was so attentive and helpful. Many of our guests told us afterwards that it was the best wedding they had been to. More importantly - we enjoyed it! There were so many little details throughout the day that elevated the experience for both our guests and us. Booking and Planning We knew we were having a smaller wedding (50-70) with most people travelling for it, so we wanted a Saturday but were running into costly minimums at most venues. Terrain Late Winter pricing and minimums worked for us to have a February Saturday wedding, and their cute indoor Hothouse made up for the fact that it might be too cold and gray outside. The monthly check-ins with our coordinator helped guide us throughout the wedding planning process and they were pretty accommodating with requests when they could be - there are some things they couldn't change for us, but I think that's what you get when you book a venue like Terrain vs a DIY venue. The tasting was a wonderful experience - the food was great and they were really good about getting our thoughts after and accommodating changes to the menu accordingly. We had a bunch of allergies between the wedding party and guests as well as dietary preferences and they worked with us to create a menu that would work for everyone. Throughout the process everyone was very friendly. Our one gripe is with the Honeybook system for communication. We would have preferred to just work with email or a direct phone line. But it was nice to have a sharepoint with all their planning documents available to us. Day Of Terrain staff exceeded our expectations in everyway. When we arrived for photos the staff was in communication with our transportation and photographer to set us up for first look. They provided me with a bridal attendant (Henny?) who was very helpful during photographs and also always made sure I had enough water and food and drink. In fact the whole night, staff was making sure we had everything we needed and gave us a bunch of to go boxes at the end of the night. The food and drinks were phenomenal. They made some less known custom drinks at our request and nailed it. And even our grumpy Italian grandfather was impressed with the food. I was actually able to enjoy the night, because they had taken care of all the stressful bits. I want to especially shout out the event coordinators we worked with: Carla who helped us at the start of the planning process, and Kelly who got us through the finish line and ran things all night.

Terrain is beyond INCREDIBLE!!
Choosing Terrain for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. The venue is absolutely magical and created the most beautiful, romantic atmosphere for our celebration. Courtney, our coordinator, was beyond incredible throughout the entire planning process. She was so thoughtful, detail-oriented, and supportive, making everything feel easy and stress-free. On our wedding day, Nikki was amazing—she handled everything seamlessly behind the scenes so we could fully enjoy every moment. The entire Terrain team exceeded our expectations in every way. They truly brought our vision to life and made the day even more special than we could have imagined. We are so grateful and would recommend them to anyone!

Best day ever
The team at Terrain are true pros. We planned with Carla and Kelly who were delightful and thought of every detail. We had a wedding attendant, Hen, on the day who took care of every need. We felt on the day of the wedding that things ran so smoothly because of the Terrain staff, and we didn’t have to worry about anything. The venue is stunning on its own, and the decor we added just made our winter wonderland come to life. There were so many good photo spots both inside and out. Although it was cold, we made the most of the twinkling lights outside set up for the holidays. Truly the most magical winter wonderland

Book Terrain Now! The most magical venue ever
My husband and I decided on two must haves for our wedding day: a unique venue and great food. From the moment we stepped into the Terrain venue located in Glen Mills, we knew it was where we wanted to get married and host our indoor ceremony with family and friends. We wanted a unique location that felt like home and Terrain delivered. Our wedding took place this December with 80 guests and it was the most seamless, efficient, and fun process. The winter décor they provide for the venue is classy, elegant, and beautiful and every space of the venue it picture perfect. You can easily enhance it with as little or as much of your personal style as you want and it will be look absolutely breathtaking. Carla and the entire Terrain event staff made our wedding day so special, and I loved that they made sure we took time to be together to enjoy the little moments. Carla made the entire planning experience a breeze and I knew I was in good hands where I didn't feel like I needed another day of coordinator or wedding planner. She answered EVERY question I had promptly, and it was a joy to work with her. A special shout out to Hen, our attendant for the Mushroom House for her professionalism in handling our wedding party as well as doing breathing exercises with me prior to the ceremony and checking in on me throughout the night (you are an angel). The package Terrain offers is unbeatable, and the food and drink options are endless to ensure everyone’s tastes and dietary restrictions are accommodated. We have received numerous compliments since our wedding on how magical the venue is, the service guests received, and the food (just what we hoped for!), and if you want only the best for your wedding day, book Terrain. We plan to make Terrain our annual anniversary dinner because we miss it already!

Our December Wedding
From the moment we first reached out to Terrain at Styer's, their communication was quick and efficient. The venue has a rustic and cozy atmosphere that felt perfect for our December wedding. The team at Terrain made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the day constantly checking in with us to ensure we had everything we needed (Special shout out to Hen, who was amazing!!!) The food was delicious and the espresso martinis were a huge hit with our guests. Our wedding coordinator, Carla, was amazing.. she kept me calm and supported me throughout the entire planning process. The entire staff was attentive and helpful during the wedding and reception. It even started snowing at the very end of the night which was beautiful!! Terrain truly exceeded our expectations and made our special day truly magical. We can't recommend them enough!
