Stroudsmoor is the real deal. When we got engaged, my top priority was that I did not want to be stressed on my wedding day. Leading up to the day, I knew there was a lot of work, a lot of planning, but on my actual wedding day, I wanted to take care of nothing. I wanted to be in charge of nothing. I used to work in events, and I know the depth and insanity that comes with planning an event and how hard the actual event day can be. I knew that whatever venue we picked, it would need to be as all-inclusive and simple as possible. Everything about Stroudsmoor was a dream. The entire process was seamless. They were so professional. They were upfront on costs. Any service they did not offer themselves they had a list of preferred, recommended vendors. Leading up to the wedding day, we met with our planner, Kaylie, regularly, their on-site florist, Grayson, and Gina and the whole team at the bridal salon were incredible. They walked us through everything, step-by-step. We got married at Woodsgate this summer – surrounded by the forest, it was absolutely gorgeous and everything we could have hoped for. We honestly couldn’t believe how perfect our day turned out at The Lake House Inn. The ceremony by the lake was stunning and felt very intimate. The ballroom was elegant but still cozy, exactly what we wanted. Having rooms on-site was such a huge plus for our guests. The entire day flowed so smoothly, and we never felt rushed or stressed. The after-party was unforgettable and the perfect ending.

We hosted our wedding at Olio in early August and simply had the best experience. From the moment we met Sarah on our tour, I felt like we were in good hands with the space and every single person who worked there and/or was associated with it. The building felt both modern and historic, and we loved the surprise of the lofted ceilings and twinkling lights once we stepped up the stairs. Olio was an great size for our 90 person event, and Sarah (and her team at Without a Hitch) helped us plan exactly the wedding we wanted, which included large rented palm trees, arcade games, a Richie's Slush cart with umbrella, even a surprise visit from Santa Claus...at Olio it all worked out. Folks say it a lot, but it was truly a blank canvas and our Olio wedding was perfectly personalized for us. The space was spotless, had great parking and directions for guests and vendors, and made for epic photos. Highly recommend this memorable venue (and the incredible professionals behind it).

I was a Wheeler House bride this past April and it was hands down the best decision we could have made while wedding planning. Ashley and Emma were the best ever at helping us plan our day to fit our wedding wishes. If there were any hiccups on our wedding day, I had (and still have) no idea about them. We rented out the cottages for our bridal party for two nights and it was an incredible experience to have everyone together the night before and after our wedding! The Oviatt staff was fantastic and made our happily ever after event such a special moment for us. They worked with us on our bar menu and gave us a lot of freedom with making the space very intimate and personal. Being under the city lights of Los Angeles made this venue such a romantic tribute to the city that me and my wife fell in love in and grew up in. Nazareth Hall is known throughout the region as a banquet and wedding facility, but it’s the rich history and lush setting that draws people here. Built in 1927 as an all-boy Catholic boarding school. It eventually evolved into a renowned military school for boys. Throughout its history the school stayed true to its Catholic roots and the nuns who served and taught here. Operating until 1982 the stories written within its walls are still told today. Re-emerging with a new mission and purpose in April of 1991, Nazareth Hall was reborn. It is in this picturesque place, reminiscent of castles of old, that brides come to be married and celebrate with family and friends in grand ballrooms. The classrooms and meeting spaces offer the perfect vintage background for business training sessions, and the manicured lawns have been host to numerous parties and festivities.

HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE! Everything is in house- catering, bar, table set up, etc. and it is so helpful to not have to worry about those things. They also let you bring in your own decorations or use the ones they have available. The staff is so amazing! Maddison was my venue coordinator who answered all of my questions and was excellent with assisting with the planning and making sure everything was set for our wedding day! I also had an event coordinator who spent the day with us to make sure everything was running smoothly. They did have two weddings that day so having an event coordinator who could speak with the other coordinator was a huge bonus. Also the food- to die for! It was soooo good and was definitely a favorite for my guests. Not to mention the views! Nazareth has so many spots inside and outside that make the most beautiful wedding photos! Overall, my wedding went off without a hitch and I am so glad that I had my wedding at Nazareth Hall!

I have been dreaming about getting married at The Gallagher for years and am not exaggerating when I say that my wedding on 9.28 exceeded every single one of my expectations! Jenna and Jenna took every bit of stress off my plate and handled every last detail of making my day what I envisioned it would be. Jenna helped my bridesmaids peel protective stickers off 125 champagne glass tags for our seating chart and then handled the rest from there - and of course, it turned out perfect. The house on the property is huge and absolutely beautiful. It was the perfect place to have our rehearsal dinner, get ready in the morning with my girls, and party all night long at the fire pit and pool table inside. My parents were able to bring their RV and park on the lawn behind the house so that our babies could sleep near us without having to stay inside the house with the wedding party. She even has umbrellas in the closet of the getting ready room in case of rain! The Gallagher is a 10/10 and I recommend this venue to any bride that wants to wake up on her wedding day and know that everything is going to be taken care of by people that genuinely want to see all your dreams come true!

The all inclusive package handles everything you need for the big day, and the preferred vendors are amazing to work with. It really made the day less stressful than it could've been. The outdoor ceremony space is so beautiful in the spring, perfect for a long walk from the farmhouse down the aisle for you to bask in the moment. The barn itself is also a great party space. The coffee bar is such a nice addition that was packed all night. The outdoor fireplace provides a wonderful retreat when you need a breathe of fresh air. The food was phenomenal, especially the dessert that came from a local bakery. The dance floor looks amazing if you have the bistro lights and can get your florist to hang greenery on the cables. The entire night was perfect, and I would wholehearted recommend you to reach out for a tour because you'll definitely fall in love with it.

We got married at the Blue Dress Barn this summer and our entire wedding day was like a fairytale--we still can't get over how beautiful everything was. The greenery and grounds of the BDB are unmatched and our guests couldn't stop commenting on how beautiful everything was. Amelia is helpful and easy to work with and Georgia is lovely as well. The barn staff left the florals up on the arch and in the barn from the night before, which was such an incredible surprise because they were so gorgeous. The getting ready areas for the bridesmaids and groomsmen had so many beautiful & intentional details that made it so special for us. The venue is also well known by other vendors in the area as well since it's been around for so long (23 years!), and so working with our catering staff (Classic Catering), photography (Spencer Penfield) and DJ (DJ Jennefa) was a breeze. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a single thing. We feel so grateful we were able to spend our favorite day with all of our friends and family at this beautiful venue! Getting married at The Rose was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The venue itself is breathtaking.. it has so much history, character, and charm. From the moment we walked in, it felt like the kind of place where memories live forever. The staff made the entire experience seamless. Everyone was kind, attentive, and on top of everything from the very beginning. We chose the Mexican buffet for dinner, and it was absolutely phenomenal.. our guests raved about it all night long. The bar service was also outstanding. Every bartender went above and beyond, keeping drinks full and energy high throughout the entire night. But as incredible as the venue and staff were, the absolute best part of our entire experience was Patrica. I don’t even know if words can do justice to who she is and what she did for us. I have never met someone so hardworking, caring, and genuinely passionate about their work. Her communication is extraordinary.. she doesn’t just keep you in the loop, she makes you feel completely supported and understood every step of the way. From day one, Patricia was there for us in every single detail: walkthroughs, tastings, worksheets, endless questions.. you name it, she handled it with grace and precision. She is incredibly detailed and organized, and because of her, we never once felt the “wedding stress” that everyone warns you about. She made planning feel easy, enjoyable, and even fun. By the month of our wedding, we literally had nothing left to do, because Patricia had made sure everything was already taken care of. That sense of calm she gave us was priceless. Our family and wedding party were blown away at the rehearsal, we spent the whole night talking about how impressed we were with Patricia. And when the wedding day came, it was effortless. We didn’t worry about a single thing. Even our DJ and photographer kept telling us how incredible Patricia was and how much easier she made things for them too. She not only ensured our vision came to life, she made the entire day flow beautifully for everyone involved. Patrica is so much more than a coordinator or a vendor to us.. she has truly become a friend. We are endlessly grateful for her and everything she has done. It’s honestly bittersweet because while we’re so thankful, we know we will miss her deeply. It was the first venue we visited, and we knew it was "the one" the moment we stepped out of the car—even before seeing the full extent of the work that has since gone into it. Owners Sarah and Jim have created something truly special; you can feel the heart and soul they’ve poured into the property while beautifully maintaining its historical integrity and charm. Getting to witness the venue’s progression in the months leading up to our wedding made us appreciate the sheer passion and hard work they pour into every detail. Sarah and Jim's support made all the difference. Because of the diligence they showed throughout our planning process, we felt entirely at ease when the big day finally arrived. We knew we were in excellent hands. If you’re on the fence about the full weekend package: do it. Beyond allowing us to feel completely at home, it gave us the space to host welcome drinks on the grounds as a “sneak peek” for our guests, while keeping the ceremony site and the barn under wraps for a big reveal the next day. Fox Meadow Barn was the perfect venue for our wedding and I could not have imagined a more magical night. It offered the perfect indoor/outdoor experience for our guests with beautiful views and stunning sunset picture opportunities. Dixie was very easy to work with, from coordinating the initial venue visit to allowing us to stop by on our own several times before the wedding to take another look, to just overall great communication. The venue itself is already so beautiful and the lighting is amazing but on top of that they have left over decorations available from previous events to borrow (which we did and they were awesome)! The flexibility to choose our own vendors made it a much more affordable experience. On top of that, Dixie also provided a list of local vendors that previous events had used which was also super helpful in finding vendors. I could not recommend this venue enough!!

Hampshire House is a special, truly unique and beautiful space for a wedding and Victoria Costa is an amazing manager/person! When I first saw the pictures of Hampshire House I thought “this is my dream wedding space” and they made it happen. My husband and I wanted a space that felt intimate and comfortable for our smaller-ish wedding, and we wanted it to be already filled with character and history so that we didn’t need to add too much to the space in terms of florals, decorations, etc. We also wanted a wedding venue that was very “Boston” with all of the New England charm. From our first meeting with Victoria, we felt that she was attentive, answered all of our questions and made us feel like our wedding was going to be as special as we were imagining it. She walked us through each part of the event and the day and we truly felt the whole time that we were in the best hands. The process was very smooth. Also, Hampshire House is an amazingly well run machine when it comes to putting on a wedding - they know how to transform all of the rooms and keep your guests smoothly moving throughout the various spaces so you feel like you and your guests are taken care of the whole time. One thing to know is that the food is incredible. Our guests absolutely loved it and we still have friends and family comment on their meal. How many times do people still talk about the food from a wedding?! We are so incredibly thankful that we found the Hampshire House and hope to be back to visit many times over the years. Thank you for creating our dream day and making every part so spectacular and special.

My son and his bride had their wedding and reception at The Franklin of Soulard on 8/24/24. I knew the minute that they booked this venue everything would be well taken care of. Danny and Christina Walsh did not disappoint! We have received so many compliments on how nice everything was. The evening was absolutely beautiful and everything flowed perfectly! Danny & Christina pour their whole hearts into every event making you feel like your day is the most important not only to you but to them as well! The professionalism of the entire team is top notch and will be hard to beat! We want to thank everyone who worked the tasting, rehearsal dinner, and the wedding/reception from the bottom of our hearts for all of the hard work that started long before the main event. There's not one thing that I can think of that they could have done better! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

From the very moment we stepped on the ground of Drumore at the day of our venue tour to the last day, our wedding day, it was perfect. The staff at Drumore are truly looking out for you. Marnie truly puts her heart and soul into the day to execute it seamlessly. I am telling you, my wedding day felt like I was floating down a river. If something went wrong, I did not know about it. Drumore speaks for itself but there are truly amazing people that work there as well. From Briana doing our tour, to telling us we got the last outdoor music day of the year, to being Marnie's adopted couple, we seriously cannot find the words to describe how thankful we are. Can't forget Kevin!!! The Drumore team and all my vendors came together as if they have all worked together before. The biggest thank you truly goes to Marnie. This entire wedding process has been so fun and we could not have done it without her. As we unwind from the best day ever, I just remember hugging Marnie at the end of the night and getting so emotional because we did it but also couldn't believe it was over at the same time. The wedding blues are SO real. I have been so sad but one of my family members said "it is not over, it is just the beginning". It is also insane to me how not stressed I was leading up to the wedding. Not at any point was I like "I want this to be over". I am just too grateful how beautifully it was executed. Thank you for being a part of our team. Thank you for the memories. I am just so grateful. WE JUST LOVE DRUMORE!!!!

How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year.
