We had our wedding at The Noble House Inn Venue and were thrilled with our experience. Matt and Lynn have created a stunning newly renovated venue and take so much pride in ensuring couples have a perfect wedding day. They communicated with us regularly and promptly in the months leading up to our big day, answering all our questions. On the wedding day itself, everything was set up beautifully - the tent looked gorgeous and created the romantic atmosphere we envisioned. Matt and Lynn attended to so many little details to make our celebration special. We felt they went above and beyond to understand our vision and bring it to life seamlessly. We live out of state and booked Bear Mountain site unseen (we did a FaceTime tour). It was the best decision. When we showed up we were star struck by its beauty of the inn and staff. The wedding was better than anything I could imagine. The staff thought of everything from flowers for the rehearsal to laminating our table numbers. Also the food was 12/10 amazing!!!!!! The staff even went out of their way to make sure we had one of dessert in our room waiting for us after the wedding. I loved how our wedding party and family were all able to stay at the inn and spend the weekend together not just the day. Not to mention the indoor and outdoor spaces for the wedding. The owner was so laid back and involved every step of the way in the planning process. They made great suggestions for other needs like make up and flowered and dj and photos. They even suggested local activities like hikes and breweries.

From a private residence, it soon became a stagecoach stop where visitors would stop to eat and lodge at Frost Tavern. Following that, it was Paul’s Hotel, and eventually also served as a boarding house. Then, for nearly 70 years it was a convent run by the Sisters of St. Joseph Order. It was also a christian school. We got married on May 30th, 2026 at The Westbrook Inn and it was everything that we had hoped for in a wedding weekend, and then 100x more than that. The team, the venue, the grounds, the care, the weekend package - every single thing was perfectly run, beautifully executed, and well communicated. We cannot recommend The Westbrook Inn highly enough to any couple looking to have the best weekend of their life. In planning, Marc was exceptionally organized, communicative, and helpful. Once the weekend came, the entire Sirigusa family was so delightful and professional that it became a topic of conversation among many of our guests, who noted how warm everything felt and how much they appreciated the family environment. Specifically with the weekend itself, Marc and Karen were above and beyond anyone’s best hopes. They were on top of every detail, ahead of any potential setback or obstacle, and added to the joy, fun, and energy of it all. There are a million moving parts, and they were moving us through it all fluidly, calmly, and easily. They were so on top of everything that we were able to just breathe and enjoy the day. The grounds, tent, and property were all so beautifully decorated, colorful, warm, and inviting, and because the whole weekend was in one place, it all felt very familial and backyard wedding-y, while being handled and directed by a professional’s professional. The flowers were in bloom, the trees were gorgeous and made it all feel very private and cut off from any noise from the outside world, and the house and tent were just beautiful spaces. As for our weekend package, that was a massive draw - and in retrospect was even better than we had hoped. The convenience of checking in on Friday and not having to leave the property for the entire weekend made everything feel so easy. We were able to even drop off decor with them in advance, so that we had no worries on Friday checking in for the weekend. So many other venues that we looked at required same day drop off because they usually had a wedding the night prior, which felt rushed / stressful. Anything Westbrook can do to alleviate stress, streamline efforts, and reduce burden on the family throughout the weekend - they do it! Everything was so beautiful and well run, we can’t imagine a single thing we would change - and we are so lucky to have had the best weekend of our life here!

My husband and I got married at Walnut Hill in late May and had the most beautiful, intimate wedding. The venue itself brought so much in terms of decor—the gorgeous tree grove, charming barn, in bloom garden—we really only added small touches with florals and tablescapes / seating to bring the event together. As the bride, I also loved that we had the on-location farmhouse to get ready in, watch guests arrive, plus be able to run back to change or touch up during the event. Essie and Mike (venue owners) are incredible to work with, they truly care that you're going to have an amazing time. And Kate, the venue GM / planner, is super organized, has the best attitude, and will make the planning process SO much more fun and exciting. Overall, you just feel taken care of. The Walnut team is also very well connected and respected in the area. Vendors love working with them, which means you get access to a lot of good recommendations, and options to fit your vision. We couldn't recommend the venue or team more!

Historic, breath taking 4 story barn The farm and barn are about 200 years old, and the barn was originally used for cows. Over the years, it has been very well taken care of, so the original beams are still there, in sizes and shapes that you just can't get anymore! The barn renovations completed in 2020 and it is all ADA compliant and up to code. In the barn, there is a full sound system, 14 chandeliers, a beautiful live edge bar top, two high end composting toilets (the flushing kind!), massive barn blue doors on each end, and a grand entrance staircase. The barn holds up to 200 people and is big enough that you don't have to rent a tent even with tables and chairs, a major benefit and money saver! In the event of rain, you can use the barn as a ceremony and reception space.

Sophie and Kyle are down to earth, caring, and a joy to work with. We planned a wedding for June of 2020 and had to postpone the reception by a year, which was no problem at all. The farm is a truly idyllic setting, and the 5-story newly renovated barn is astoundingly beautiful and fully equipped for multimedia experiences. Everyone who attended our party had a well-deserved blast after sheltering in place for so long. Thank you, Saltonstalls! Best wishes for your new adventures. <3

We rent the entire estate for four nights, from Thursday to Monday and can comfortably sleep 26 guests. Surrounded by stunning views and Maine salt air, we are just 15 minutes from downtown Portsmouth, NH and the fine restaurants, arts, and culture of the Seacoast. And only an hour from Boston or Portland.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Multiple event spaces
  • Private area for the wedding party
  • Classic, vintage atmosphere

Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
  • Does not have a dance floor
I looked into countless wedding venues all across New England, but when my then-fiancé and I arrived at Scotland Fields for our venue tour, I immediately knew that it was the place we needed to host our wedding weekend. That gut feeling that this was somewhere really special never wore off, and I know that all of our guests felt that same feeling throughout the entire weekend. We also don't have enough positive things to say about the Scotland Fields team. My husband and I had a very specific vision about how we wanted our weekend to come together, and the team was nothing but accommodating to allow us to create the weekend that we envisioned. They were responsive when we had questions, helpful when we needed recommendations and guidance, and prompt to resolve anything that came up throughout the weekend (not that there was much of anything to resolve!!). We could not recommend this venue more highly, and will forever be grateful for the weekend that Scotland Fields allowed us to curate!

Grace Events is a beautifully restored historic venue located in the heart of downtown Portland. Originally built in 1856 as Chestnut Street Methodist Church and designed by architect Charles Alexander, Grace is one of the city’s few surviving examples of Gothic Revival architecture, having endured the Great Fire of 1866. Now under new ownership, The Herget Group and managed by former Event Director Meghan Johansmeier, Grace enters an exciting new chapter while honoring it's rich past. The venue is known for its stunning architectural details, historic charm, and exceptional service. Grace Events offers several spaces for various guest counts, from cocktail receptions for up to 350 guests to seated dinners for 250. Couples can prepare in the newly renovated bridal suite, exchange vows in the intimate Grand Gathering Room, and celebrate with dining and dancing in the breathtaking Sanctuary featuring soaring cathedral ceilings, original stained glass, and a striking central bar.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Dressing room available
  • Combines timeless elegance with history
  • Multiple event spaces

Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • No all-inclusive dining options
  • Best for events with big guest lists
We had our wedding reception at Grace in April and it was absolutely perfect, we cannot recommend enough. The building is gorgeous, truly not requiring any added decor as it shines on its own. From the balcony, the massive stained glass windows, the huge bar, to every other detail; it is stunning. The ownership changed in the middle of our wedding planning which was stressful at the time, but genuinely made our day that much better. The new Grace team is incredible. Meghan was a surprise bonus wedding planner; proving us with great advice, doing everything she could to make our day perfect, and renovating Grace in record time before our day. Her and the team provided new paint, new tables, and perhaps best of all, new bridal and groomsmen suites that were the perfect place to get ready. If you are debating booking Grace, do it. It is beautiful, has a great dance floor, is in the perfect location walkable to everything Portland offers, and was such a smooth planning process.

I’m so happy we chose the Loon Lodge Inn to host our wedding. The food was spectacular, the tent was beautiful, and the lake views were amazing. But the real stars of the show were the hospitality and service from Kim and other staff members at the Loon Lodge. They went above and beyond the entire weekend. Everyone at our wedding sung the praises of the staff including their hard work, friendly demeanors, and their creativity to fix things when unexpected things happened. For example, when the florist’s arbor fell over and broke, the florist attempted to hold it together using ribbons and flowers that looked awful. Kim immediately fixed it using fishing line and it ended up looking beautiful as the fishing line wasn’t even noticeable and especially won’t be seen in pictures. Kim also tried extremely hard to have the ceremony outside despite forecasts of rain. Having the ceremony outside was the one thing I really wanted to happen that weekend. Kim was constantly checking the forecast that day and saw that there would be a window of opportunity without rain and at the last minute made an outside ceremony happen. Additionally, I didn’t realize that we never assigned someone to be in charge of the cake-cutting. Kim saw it was not being cut and went out of her way to cut everyone a slice of cake. There were many moments like this and I’m sure way more that happened behind the scenes that we weren’t privy to. The bartenders and other staff members, especially the chef, also did a fantastic job. Choosing the Loon Lodge Inn for our venue was the best decision I made regarding wedding planning. My now husband and I plan to return here for an anniversary trip one day. Thanks to the Loon Lodge Inn and Kim for a weekend that we will always remember and think fondly of!

The Hawthorn Portsmouth NH
Portsmouth, NH
  • Up to 250 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $15,000

Our story begins in 1858 when Frank Jones arrived in Portsmouth with a dream of brewing ale. Within three decades, The Frank Jones Brewery became the largest ale producer in the country. As ale production expanded, the brewery added a cooperage and scald house to clean the barrels. Workers used scalding hot rocks to sanitize barrels because soap and water would cause them to warp. Once cleaned, the barrels were filled with Jones’ signature ales. The Hawthorn now occupies this Scald House, retaining its original red-brick walls, towering beams, and industrial windows. “Cheers,” then, has a whole new meaning at The Hawthorn. When you raise your glass at your event, you’ll be toasting in a place that’s positively brewing with Portsmouth ale-making heritage and local history.
