About this venue

Stage House Inn is a stately and elegant wedding venue. The property offers 20 unique guest rooms, private function spaces, and Dufour, an on-site award-winning restaurant and bar. The venue offers plenty of historical charm and Maine-style hospitality. The Stage House Inn specializes in hosting private events. These include micro weddings (for up to 70 guests), showers, corporate events, holiday parties, baptism celebrations, funeral receptions, celebrations of life, and other events for 25-150 guests. Since the late 1700s, the structure that now houses Stage House Inn and Dufour has served many purposes. From a private residence, it soon became a stagecoach stop where visitors would stop to eat and lodge at Frost Tavern. Following that, it was Paul’s Hotel, and eventually also served as a boarding house. Then, for nearly 70 years it was a convent run by the Sisters of St. Joseph Order. It was also a christian school.     Bridal Shower

    We had our bridal shower at Stage House Inn and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The parlor room was the ideal space for our group of 25 guests—intimate yet elegant. We'd absolutely recommend Stage House Inn to any couple looking for a beautiful venue.

    Wedding Reception

    We hosted our wedding reception here, and it was an absolute dream. The venue exudes a sophisticated, classy atmosphere that immediately took our breath away. From the stunning architecture to the refined decor, the space provided an upscale, elegant backdrop that made our celebration feel incredibly special. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful and prestigious the entire event felt. The culinary experience and service matched the gorgeous setting perfectly. The food was absolutely exceptional, plentiful and full of incredible flavor. Additionally, the wonderful bar staff went above and beyond from the beginning to the end. They were friendly, efficient, and crafted fantastic drinks that kept our guests happy and the upscale energy flowing. What truly brought this entire luxurious experience together was our exceptional wedding coordinator, Darien. He matched the venue's high standards with total professionalism, grace, and meticulous attention to detail. Every element of the timeline was executed flawlessly behind the scenes. Thanks to his poise and expertise, we enjoyed a seamless, stress-free reception of pure sophistication. This venue is spectacular! Between the stunning, classy atmosphere, the incredible food, and a team that ensures flawless execution, it truly delivers perfection. We highly recommend!

    Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Party

    Fabulous experience at the StageHouse Inn/Dufour Restaurant I would highly recommend!! From the very beginning Darien was very knowledgeable, organized, thorough and focused on every detail for our dual event. The entire staff was so kind and easy to work with. The service was excellent, the food was fantastic. Incredible experience all around!

    Loved our wedding here

    I hosted my wedding here! We had the entire venue, plus rented the Nealley House for us and our guests. The staff is remarkable, the food was exceptional, and the venue as a whole cannot be beat if you are looking for a destination-feel type micro wedding. We had a head count of 60 (a larger micro wedding!) and we fit perfectly for dinner and dancing. How fun all of our friends and family were able to stay with us on property for the whole weekend! Darien, the event coordinator, and the staff were incredibly accommodating, responsive, and flexible- providing a top-notch experience for us and our guests. I have toured and viewed every room in the hotel they are all charming and beautiful. As for our reception, our guests raved about dinner and they have an excellent bar as well! I cannot recommend the Stage House highly enough for a wedding event space!
