About this venue
Stage House Inn is a stately and elegant wedding venue. The property offers 20 unique guest rooms, private function spaces, and Dufour, an on-site award-winning restaurant and bar. The venue offers plenty of historical charm and Maine-style hospitality. The Stage House Inn specializes in hosting private events. These include micro weddings (for up to 70 guests), showers, corporate events, holiday parties, baptism celebrations, funeral receptions, celebrations of life, and other events for 25-150 guests. Since the late 1700s, the structure that now houses Stage House Inn and Dufour has served many purposes. From a private residence, it soon became a stagecoach stop where visitors would stop to eat and lodge at Frost Tavern. Following that, it was Paul’s Hotel, and eventually also served as a boarding house. Then, for nearly 70 years it was a convent run by the Sisters of St. Joseph Order. It was also a christian school. Amazing bridal shower!
From our first conversation and tour with Darien at Stage House Inn, we knew we had found my bridal shower venue. He answered every question we had during planning and was even there to help us set up the morning of my bridal shower. The space is absolutely beautiful, charming and updated, and the entire team showed up as kind, professional, and proactive. They even took care of little details without us asking—like putting my bouquet in a vase with water and making sure we felt taken care of throughout the entire day. Cheryl and the rest of the event staff were so friendly and they even offered to donate our leftover flowers to a local nursing home for us - so thoughtful. The food and drinks were delicious, and I could not recommend Stage House Inn enough to other brides looking for a shower venue.

SPECTACULAR!!! If we could give the Stage House ten stars, we would. The accommodations, the service, the staff and the food. From arranging the events, to the rehearsal dinner, the welcome drinks, the after party at the Stage House and the brunch that the bride’s family hosted at the Nealley House. It was like our very own compound. The staff is incredible. They are so accommodating and do it with a smile. We felt so welcomed as soon as we walked in the door. Darien was phenomenal!!! We would not have changed a thing!

Amazing venue
I hosted a bridal shower for my daughter at Stage House Inn and everything was seamless from start to finish. Darien the event coordinator was wonderful to work with. He is very detail oriented and he made sure that every aspect of the event flowed smoothly- from the day of timeline, to the signature drink creation, and flexibility with the menu, the room layout and coordination with the SHI Team, Darien exceeded all my expectations. Cheryl did an amazing job the day of, wearing multiple hats from set up to buffet to bartending and everything in between, she was a dream to work with. The event was everything I imagined and more!

We hosted our wedding reception here, and it was an absolute dream. The venue exudes a sophisticated, classy atmosphere that immediately took our breath away. From the stunning architecture to the refined decor, the space provided an upscale, elegant backdrop that made our celebration feel incredibly special. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful and prestigious the entire event felt. The culinary experience and service matched the gorgeous setting perfectly. The food was absolutely exceptional, plentiful and full of incredible flavor. Additionally, the wonderful bar staff went above and beyond from the beginning to the end. They were friendly, efficient, and crafted fantastic drinks that kept our guests happy and the upscale energy flowing. What truly brought this entire luxurious experience together was our exceptional wedding coordinator, Darien. He matched the venue's high standards with total professionalism, grace, and meticulous attention to detail. Every element of the timeline was executed flawlessly behind the scenes. Thanks to his poise and expertise, we enjoyed a seamless, stress-free reception of pure sophistication. This venue is spectacular! Between the stunning, classy atmosphere, the incredible food, and a team that ensures flawless execution, it truly delivers perfection. We highly recommend!
