About Revolution Summer Photography
Corey J. Butler
Nostalgia drove me into photography at an early age - and lead me into my studies of photojournalism. We all innately know when we're at a critical juncture in our lives. For me, being able to authentically capture, to preserve those moments in a photograph is such a privilege. I know how much it means to me to be able to look back and say 'this is how things actually happened.' There is beauty in those truths. The kind of folks I work with share that appreciation.
My goal is for you to look at your photos and recognize you, as you are - not someone who is all propped, posed, and generally uncomfortable. You'd be amazed by how much more a photo can mean to you when you look at it and don't recall ever being aware of or pressured from the camera. You can recognize you, recognize the real.

A Dream New England Photojournalist
We can't say enough fantastic things about Corey. From the time of booking, he was easy to work with, laid back, and very professional. He helped us with our overall wedding timeline to ensure the day went smoothly as well, which was much appreciated. When we got our gallery back we were absolutely floored. We hired Corey because most wedding photos tend to be a bit boring, or overly stiff/posed, and we really wanted a photojournalist to capture the essence and emotions of the day. Looking through our gallery, we were able to relive the day through our guests eyes. He captured moments both big and small and created photos that we'll cherish for the rest of our lives. We can’t say enough wonderful things about Corey! From our first conversation, he was able to pick up on the vibe we were looking for and answer all of the questions that we had, as we had never done this. He was easy to talk to, so friendly and warm, and we knew we’d be in great hands. He checked in leading up to the wedding to make sure we had everything we needed and answer any more questions, and helped us create a great timeline. The day of the wedding, Corey was amazing at making us feel comfortable. He jumped from location to location seamlessly to capture all of the moments from that day. He made us laugh, and made taking pictures easy. Nothing felt staged or awkward, and he ran with our desire to capture the true feeling of the day with candid photos. We are so grateful to have found Corey, as our day actually could not have been captured more perfectly. If you are looking for your photographer, I promise you have found him!

The BEST choice!
Working with Corey was a dream come true! He was incredibly professional, personable, and fun. He was so flexible with our varying location requests and helped my husband and I feel so comfortable throughout the whole day (we're not always the most comfortable in front of a camera). We absolutely loved his "fly on the wall" style and the finished products looked so beautiful. We gifted every family member the photos that Christmas! We feel so lucky he captured our special day.

Working with Corey was fantastic. We loved the authentic pictures he took of us — nothing felt staged or forced.
