About this venue

The Red Barn redefines the barn wedding experience with full-service wedding planning and contemporary amenities. The quaint backdrop of historic South Berwick, Maine provides the perfect setting for today’s couples looking to escape into the heart of Vacationland. The Red Barn is the newest and most exciting addition to Outlook Farm. This beautiful addition allows us to offer an event location for all seasons. The reconstruction of the Red Barn is the first project in a phased approach to restore and renovate the Outlook Farm property to its original grandeur of 100 years ago. The new building maintains the look and feel of the historic Maine barn it has always been while featuring all of the amenities available in the most modern of banquet facilities.

    We had our wedding NYE 2023 and had the absolute pleasure of working with Emily at The Red Barn! She was always available to bounce ideas off of months before the wedding and days before she was my main girl working with all the vendors to make sure set up was seamless! The weekend of our wedding she made me feel so calm and that she had everything handled and under control from the rehearsal to the very last second of our wedding! SHE IS AMAZING! She was so attentive to us and the bridal party all night making sure we had all the snacks and drinks that we needed. Not only was Emily an absolute dream to work with but the entire staff at The Red Barn and The Stage House Inn were so easy and great to work with! Our entire bridal party and immediate family stayed at both The Stage House Inn and The Nealley House which was so convenient and fun to have everybody so close all weekend! Both places were very clean and a beautiful spot for getting ready/bridal party photos! Check-in was easy for all guests and we were able to place welcome bags in all the rooms before guests arrived, which was an added treat. I would recommend these venues over and over again!

    Such a gorgeous venue! We had a winter wedding and everything about the planning process was so easy with their wedding coordination team. We also appreciated that all/most of the charges were all rolled into one price up front so there really weren’t any surprises. It was also great to not even need to hire additional vendors since most of what you’d need was included in their services- definitely a money saver.

    Words cannot describe how amazing the Red Barn was – from the beautiful holiday decorations, to the incredibly accommodating staff, wait staff and bartenders, and who could forget Emily! Leading up to the day and the day of, Emily and the Red Barn team made us feel so special and accommodate our every request. Emily even offered to run to the grocery store to pick something up the day before!!! She is literally so, so amazing, along with everyone at the Red Barn! My husband and I will never forget how truly incredible this venue was, and we will recommend The Red Barn to anyone looking to have the wedding of their dreams!!

    My husband and I can’t say enough amazing things about the Red Barn and with our stay at the Stage House Inn. The staff were incredible, our coordinator made our vision come to life and they made the process so easy. This venue made our dream winter wonderland wedding come true. Emily was the best coordinator and we really can’t thank her enough.
