My husband and I got married at Granite Rose on October 12th, and we’re still talking about how it was truly the wedding of our dreams. From the moment we first saw the venue (that chandelier sealed the deal!), we knew it was where we wanted to celebrate our day. Every meeting with the team felt fun and upbeat, which made the whole planning process so much easier and genuinely enjoyable. Huge shoutout to Briana, Lily, Anna, and Jillian for supporting us through everything and keeping us on track. Our banquet captain that night, Kerri, made sure our guests were taken care of, and we heard so many compliments about the food and service. Chef Jim, Sous Chef Corey, and their awesome servers, Michael, Phil, and Elijah, really did an amazing job. We also have to rave about our bartender, Mariah. She was hilarious, kind, and just so good at what she does. She added such a fun energy to the night and made it even more special for us and our guests. Can't forget to thank Susanne's Weddings for the amazing floral arrangements and Jacques Pastry Shop for the delicious and perfect wedding cake! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves! We’ll always recommend Granite Rose, or any Wedgewood Weddings venue, to anyone who wants a smooth, enjoyable wedding planning experience. We’re just so grateful for how everything turned out.

I learned of this place from a local source, and my husband and I were excited to get married at this gem in Barrington. Karen was responsive and lovely to work with, giving us contact information for vendors who had worked with the Barn before, and making sure that her sons moved tables and chairs around for us. Their existing furniture saved time and money, so it was super convenient. It is important to note that if you do choose this venue, there is no heating or cooling in the barn, and there is no existing bathroom; we got married in the middle of October and though it was chilly outdoors, the barn itself was fairly warm. We rented a bathroom trailer, which had a perfect spot just outside the venue and it wasn't a problem at all. Overall, the peach farm is a gorgeous place to get married!

Maine's only greenhouse event venue exclusively designed for wedding receptions and ceremonies. 2021 marks 72 years of Highland Farm’s history in Scarborough, Maine. From the beginning, the property has been operating as a greenhouse. In fact, in the 1800’s, Highland Farm was the largest supplier of cut flowers in the Northeast. The saying is true here: “you come as strangers and leave as family.” The Greenhouse and The Farm has been run by 3rd generation owners, Joe and Christine since 2008, but Joe and Christine’s involvement in the farm runs far deeper than ownership. In 2009, the couple was married in one of the working greenhouses

It is hard to put into words how special this venue is. My husband and I toured the property with Emerald back in November 2022 and instantly fell in love with it -- it was the second venue we saw, and we didn't see any others after. There was something about Emerald's genuine care for the space and for the couples that she worked with that really stood out to us. She has a deep connection to the property and we watched her build it up into the masterpiece it is today. We got married in May 2024, and it was truly the best day of our lives. The view, the ceremony space, the reception tent, the getting-ready areas -- all of it was so full of charm and so stunningly beautiful. Our wedding party stayed in the four cabins and we stayed in the adorable honeymoon suite. When we arrived for our wedding weekend, we looked at the view and made a vow to return to this place when we could. We were able to use a golf cart to transport decorations (and people) around the property, which was a life safer! In addition to the spectacular setting, Emerald's commitment is unmatched. She communicated with us consistently throughout the 1.5 years we spent planning and answered all of our (many, many) questions promptly. She sent us little gifts, solicited feedback from us about new property changes, and connected us with other amazing vendors. Her husband Kurt was also incredibly kind and so helpful on our wedding day. Bonus: their kids are adorable!! Penobscot Bay Estate is truly a magical place and was the perfect space for us to begin our lives together. Pro tip: use the honeymoon tub! it was so fun!!

Fairytale Gardens and Weddings is a beautiful venue. As soon as my then fiance and I visited we fell in love with it. The property is large with plenty of room for people to spread out and have fun. So many of our guests came up to us to say how beautiful the venue is and we couldn't agree more. Gloria the barn has so much character that we kept our decorations simple because for us, the barn was perfect as it was. While we kept the decorations simple, the pay it forward attic was a huge help in the planning process. It was so nice to be able to use some of the decorations that were left over from past weddings so we weren't stuck with having to buy decorations that we'll never use again. The staff couldn't have been more helpful right from the initial start of the planning until the end of the night on our wedding day. They're very experienced and were excellent at helping us figure out exactly what we wanted for our special day. Having them there the day of the wedding was invaluable, they were such a big help with everything from setting up to reminding us about things on our itinerary that we were starting to forget about. All in all we were lucky to find Fairytale and have our wedding there. I honestly wouldn't be able to find a single negative thing to say even if I tried. I can't recommend this venue enough.

Surrounded by rolling hills, fields, and the original orchard, guests can explore the peaceful grounds and enjoy breathtaking sunsets. • Bridal suite on site

Venue considerations

  • Does not allow pets
  • Not wheelchair accessible

We had our wedding at the 1830 Wedding Barn in September 2023. During the planning process the ownership of the barn changed hands, but we ultimately had a good experience with the new owners, Molly and Brian. They were kind, professional and helpful. The barn has an outdoor ceremony site under an apple tree as well as accommodations to have an indoor ceremony as well. We ended up having an indoor ceremony due to weather and utilized the venue's arbor (flowers not included). The inside of the barn is rustic and felt quite cozy in the evening with Edison bulb string lights twinkling. There are two newly updated restrooms attached to the barn and a live-edge wooden bar that adds to the rustic barn feel. Overall, we had a special day we will never forget at the 1830 Wedding Barn.

The 1812 Farm

  • Starts at $7,000

The 1812 Farm is a year round setting for your event. Our unique mix of historic setting and unmatched level of catering quality, elegant surroundings and appointments appeals to the most discerning taste

Why you'll love this venue

  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away
  • Natural elegance with open spaces

Venue considerations

  • No on-premises lodging options
  • Not for you if you're looking for a sleek and contemporary space
Let me start by saying that having our wedding reception at the 1812 Farm was something I had dreamed of for 18 years, since I was only 10. My family and I would visit the Pemaquid Lighthouse every year growing up, and every year I would point out the car window and say “That’s where I want to have a wedding reception after getting married at the lighthouse!” Little did I know, I would eventually have that exact dream come true. My now husband and I celebrated our wedding reception at the 1812 Farm in September. From day one, the communication between us and the owners and event coordinator Olivia was punctual and incredibly helpful. From the thorough initial tour, to the food tasting where we were made to feel like royalty, to Olivia’s continual help with planning and the ultimate picture perfect wedding day, we were beyond pleased. Wedding planning would have been far more stressful without the calls with Olivia, a detailed shared Google document, and the fun 3D modeling software for the venue table setup. The catering was excellent- the food was delicious with perfectly tender meat and paired seasonings/sauces. The servers and bartenders were professional and friendly. The first thing that struck me on the wedding day was how gorgeous the grounds were, with a multitude of flowers and perfectly manicured lawns even towards the end of the summer! I also cannot say enough good things about their bridal suite. Getting ready in such a comfortable place with my loved ones was unexpectedly one of my favorite times of that day. The Farm also coordinated with our bluegrass band and other vendors efficiently to ensure the day went flawlessly. Thank you, the 1812 Farm, for helping us host a beautiful, classy, country wedding that couldn’t have been more perfect.

If you're considering Wentworth by the Sea hotel for your wedding venue - just do it! They truly went above and beyond and blew us out of the water. We went with the Little Harbor Package in the Grand Ballroom - we were treated like royalty. Any issue we may have come across (few if not any at all!) it was quickly settled with zero stress. If you're looking for a one stop shop for everything wedding - they supply an excellent list of vendors, everything is on site, champagne around every corner, and talk about luxurious and beautiful! Kate, Catherine, and the entire Wentworth staff were extremely attentive, in person and via email - they were just incredible and I couldn't speak more highly about their professionalism. Our wedding guests are still complimenting Wentworth by the Sea - especially the food! Food is something not many people expect to be blown away by at a wedding - but boy they didn't disappoint! Some guests said it was the best filet they had EVER had!!! All of the food - appetizers, salads, entrees, dessert - everything was mouthwatering and buzzworthy. Again, if you're considering booking Wentworth by the Sea Hotel - this is your sign to book! I can't say enough wonderful things about all the people involved and the property itself with all of its amenities! I am beyond happy with our choice to spend the best day of our lives with Wentworth! Meredith & Jonah 3 6/21/25

I looked into countless wedding venues all across New England, but when my then-fiancé and I arrived at Scotland Fields for our venue tour, I immediately knew that it was the place we needed to host our wedding weekend. That gut feeling that this was somewhere really special never wore off, and I know that all of our guests felt that same feeling throughout the entire weekend. We also don't have enough positive things to say about the Scotland Fields team. My husband and I had a very specific vision about how we wanted our weekend to come together, and the team was nothing but accommodating to allow us to create the weekend that we envisioned. They were responsive when we had questions, helpful when we needed recommendations and guidance, and prompt to resolve anything that came up throughout the weekend (not that there was much of anything to resolve!!). We could not recommend this venue more highly, and will forever be grateful for the weekend that Scotland Fields allowed us to curate!
