Caswell Farm & Wedding Barn

Our historic 1800's barn has been designed to maximize all of the beauty and grandeur it has to offer for your wedding reception. Inside the barn you will find an open floor plan for you to decorate, design, and arrange to match the decor and vision of your special day. The hand-crafted bar is located on the first floor making it easy for your guests to grab a drink and head to the dance floor. On the second floor of the barn you'll find a number of unique, furnished lounge areas for your guests to sit and enjoy the party from above. Included in this is a newly added VIP lounge area that sits above the bar and is separated from the other lounge areas by a newly built bridge. Additionally, the upper barn area tends to be a perfect location for guests of honor to dress and prepare for the day. Your guests will love enjoying a cocktail on our spacious 36’ x 12’ deck, looking out over the gardens and tent area.

Our 300-year-old farmhouse has been in our family for three generations. The Farmhouse also boasts a full kitchen, perfect for brunch or a mimosa, or two, and a few lounge areas and couches for everyone to sit, share, and relax before the big moment. There is an enclosed porch off of the kitchen, which is excellent for natural light photography and getting-ready pictures as well as a full bath including a second mirror and sink outside the bathroom, which allows multiple people to get ready at the same time. Enjoy a spacious living room with a gorgeous antique fireplace and multiple seating options. Lastly, we have the two furnished guest bedrooms.

For couples envisioning a grand sit-down dinner or a shaded garden reception, our dedicated tent area provides a flexible "blank canvas" on the rolling lawn. This space allows you to customize your layout and select a tent style that perfectly matches your aesthetic—from elegant sailcloth to classic peak tents. Positioned with beautiful views of the historic barn and gardens, the tent area ensures your guests enjoy the fresh Maine air and pastoral scenery while dining in comfort.

Caswell Farm & Wedding Barn features a selection of ceremony spaces including our ceremony lawn with ample seating area for a group of any size. The handmade birch arbor can be dressed up with your choice of flowers to match your wedding theme, or left in its natural state of beauty. Our newly reimagined Flower Garden boasts a 50’ by 50’ crushed stone patio surrounded by lush perennials, annuals and herbs. It’s natural beauty makes it an ideal choice for small to medium sized receptions surrounded by color and vibrance. A growing number of our couples are also choosing smaller ceremonies in front of the historic white-washed barn door. This vintage backdrop draped in lighted grape vines has hosted some of our favorite photos on the farm.

Beyond the barn, the property opens into vast fields and manicured lawns that stretch toward the working farm. Guests are invited to wander the footpaths of our specialty produce fields or enjoy quiet conversation in Adirondack chairs scattered throughout the perennial beds. As the sun sets, the celebration continues at our beautiful bonfire pit, complete with hand-hewn, rough-cut benches and an unlimited wood supply—the perfect spot for late-night s'mores and gathering under the Maine stars.
