About this venue
Willowdale Estate is a private mansion, just 30-miles north of Boston, Massachusetts. Located within a 720-acre state forest, and along the pristine Ipswich River. Our private estate is the perfect setting for a New England wedding ceremony and reception. Our coordination team and catering staff will execute your plan with grace, leaving you free to enjoy the party and mix with your guests. At Willowdale Estate, we host two wedding seasons. Our Tent Season from May-October is perfect for parties between 125-240 guests, and our Mansion Season from November-April is better suited for smaller parties between 80-125 guests inside our Estate. As you search for a venue, we would love to hear from you! We can send open dates, host a tour of our space, or create a quote for you. Tent Events (Mansion, Tent, and Garden)
Your once-in-a-lifetime celebration deserves a one-of-a-kind setting.
Tent Season events include our private mansion, garden, and Sperry Tent. Guests enjoy the historic character of our estate, the beauty of our Garden Courtyard with a variety of flowering plants and trees, as well as, multiple access points to the mansion. Dinner and dancing are hosted under our Sperry Tent. Our restaurant-style catering is prepared on-site by the Willowdale Estate catering team, and we include support from on-site event coordinators.

- Bistro lights along the perimeter of the tent, with lanterns on the spruce center poles - Covered walkway connecting the tent and the mansion - Dining, cocktail, and café tables, and garden chairs - Tent heaters and fans available for use as needed; the Estate is air-conditioned and heated - Parking attendants - Three private hospitality suites for use during your event - Dance floor, courtyard bistro lights, and other custom features can be added (additional pricing will apply)
Mansion Events
Easy to plan, impossible to forget.
Events in the mansion (November - April) include full use of the main floor of the estate, with access to three private suites on the second floor for getting ready. Indoor events are cozy and romantic with warm wood tones of the house, festive, and lights. We are happy to incorporate personal touches that keep our century-old mansion vibrant, dynamic, and full of life. Our mansion features leaded stained glass windows, stone fireplaces, and intricate wood molding.

Very special venue and team!
From the moment we reached out to Willowdale Estate, their communication was prompt, detail-oriented, and calming. The team, especially our coordinator Julia, did a phenomenal job handling all the coordination and helping to calm our nerves throughout the planning process. On the day of, the Willowdale Estate venue was absolutely gorgeous, providing great value with their delicious food and amazing cookies. We would highly recommend Julia and the entire Willowdale team to any couple looking for a stress-free, beautiful wedding experience.
Best day of my life at the dream venue.
I truly mean it when I say our wedding was the best day of my life so far. Julia D was an amazing coordinator. She was so supportive and put all of our worries at ease, especially as we were coming from across the country week of for the wedding. From day one touring the venue a year and a half ago to just two months ago on the day of- the entire staff was so supportive and responsive. Week of they were all hands on deck and we felt prioritized and heard. Day of was absolutely magical. Julia made it all come together seamlessly with the help of the amazing crew. The food, kindness of the staff, beauty of the venue and the magic in all of the behind the scenes that made all our dreams come true truly made our wedding so special to us. I wish we could get married again here- it was beyond our wildest dreams and I am so thankful for the amazing staff! Thank you!
Willowdale is the BEST EVER EVER
Our wedding here was INCREDIBLE and I couldn't recommend it enough. Every single person we worked with was so helpful, kind, and thoughtful and made this process so easy for us. Every single detail was executed perfectly. Every interaction was professional, timely, and warm. For the whole year leading up to our wedding, we felt incredibly supported and cared for. I had so many questions, and the Willowdale team was so prompt, helpful, and kind in their responses. As for the actual wedding, it was a total dream. The food is actually the best food ever... wedding food or not. It's been two months and everyone is still talking about it. The space is GORGEOUS and feels intimate and special while still accommodating larger weddings. Our coordinator, Julia, and the team worked with the florist and all the decor we dropped off ahead of time to execute the design and vision better than I could ever dream up. I was truly shocked when seeing the space - the attention and care to detail was unparallel and so gorgeous. And the BEST PART... On the day of the wedding, there was absolutely nothing to think about or stress about because Julia had it all under control. She communicated throughout the evening and made everything flowed seamlessly. As a result, we really got to just enjoy every single moment of the best day of our lives. All in all... we highly recommend getting married here. I wish we could do it all again. Willowdale and the team are so special. THANK YOU!! PS - the cookies are the best ever.
The PERFECT Venue
Willowdale is a truly magical place to get married!!! Our March mansion wedding was nothing short of perfect, and we could not be more impressed with the Willowdale team or facility. Food, ambiance, unique spaces (including the gorgeous suites), staff, and overall planning support are all IMPECCABLE. We worked with Allison and her team - they were amazingly supportive and expertly brought our vision to life. The value compared to other venues we looked at is incomparable, especially for use of such a gorgeous space. All of our guests were amazed and have said it was the best wedding they've ever attended! I truly believe it's the details- the included welcome drink, his and her cocktails, and signature cookies - that make Willowdale so special. Look no further - you've found the perfect venue!
