About this venue
Willowdale Estate is a private mansion, just 30-miles north of Boston, Massachusetts. Located within a 720-acre state forest, and along the pristine Ipswich River. Our private estate is the perfect setting for a New England wedding ceremony and reception. Our coordination team and catering staff will execute your plan with grace, leaving you free to enjoy the party and mix with your guests. At Willowdale Estate, we host two wedding seasons. Our Tent Season from May-October is perfect for parties between 125-240 guests, and our Mansion Season from November-April is better suited for smaller parties between 80-125 guests inside our Estate. As you search for a venue, we would love to hear from you! We can send open dates, host a tour of our space, or create a quote for you. Tent Events (Mansion, Tent, and Garden)
Your once-in-a-lifetime celebration deserves a one-of-a-kind setting.
Tent Season events include our private mansion, garden, and Sperry Tent. Guests enjoy the historic character of our estate, the beauty of our Garden Courtyard with a variety of flowering plants and trees, as well as, multiple access points to the mansion. Dinner and dancing are hosted under our Sperry Tent. Our restaurant-style catering is prepared on-site by the Willowdale Estate catering team, and we include support from on-site event coordinators.

- Bistro lights along the perimeter of the tent, with lanterns on the spruce center poles - Covered walkway connecting the tent and the mansion - Dining, cocktail, and café tables, and garden chairs - Tent heaters and fans available for use as needed; the Estate is air-conditioned and heated - Parking attendants - Three private hospitality suites for use during your event - Dance floor, courtyard bistro lights, and other custom features can be added (additional pricing will apply)
Mansion Events
Easy to plan, impossible to forget.
Events in the mansion (November - April) include full use of the main floor of the estate, with access to three private suites on the second floor for getting ready. Indoor events are cozy and romantic with warm wood tones of the house, festive, and lights. We are happy to incorporate personal touches that keep our century-old mansion vibrant, dynamic, and full of life. Our mansion features leaded stained glass windows, stone fireplaces, and intricate wood molding.

Amazing Experience!!!
We could not have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding!! From the very beginning, the communication with the team was responsive and clear, which alleviated any stress and just let us focus on the fun stuff! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, with stunning details like the beautiful wood, stone, and stained glass accents that makes it feel like a little castle in the woods. Our guests have not stopped raving about the incredible food, even 3 months later! I would say the top 3 reasons we chose the venue (and reasons we loved it during and after as well) were the amazing food (we are big foodies!!), the intimate fairytale castle in the woods feeling (like a highly elevated romantic backyard fairytale wedding!), and the benefit of less decisions (so much decision fatigue in wedding planning, and Willowdale has so many in house options, including catering, that we really felt we could handle it ourselves even while both working full time out of state). Julia, our venue coordinator, was stellar - she helped us with all the decor drop-off and eased any wedding worries we had along the way. The entire team kept everything running so smoothly and on schedule, without a single hitch. We loved every moment--10/10 no notes!!!!
Magical Wedding at Willowdale!!
Our wedding at Willowdale Estate was an absolute dream! The estate is breathtaking, filled with beauty and charm, and everything about the day felt magical! From start to finish we were surrounded by care, joy, and love in every detail. Our coordinator, Alli, was extraordinary! She guided us with warmth and calm, always anticipating our needs and making sure everything flowed with ease. Because of her, we were able to let go of stress and truly soak in every moment! Walking through Willowdale, seeing our family and friends so happy, felt like living inside a perfect memory! Alli and the Willowdale team gave us more than a wedding. They gave us a day filled with love, beauty, and joy that we will treasure forever! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

The perfect wedding venue!!
From day 1 of touring Willowdale Estate, we knew we wanted to get married there. The charm and beauty of the estate are second to none. There aren’t many venues like it that you and guests spend time inside the venue! The staff is such a well-oiled machine, and takes care of all the details. We were so lucky to work with Jordan, our wedding coordinator. She took care of every detail and vision we wanted well in advance so we didn’t have to worry about anything! The wedding day was so smooth and in order, we were able to be completely present and enjoy the day! You can’t go wrong having your event here!!
