At the turn of the century the company faced a crisis: the site of their mill would be flooded to form the Wachusett Reservoir. Instead of abandoning the mill, the company dismantled it brick by brick and shipped it to its new home in Easthampton, where it was rebuilt on the banks of the Lower Mill Pond. Founded in 1896, the Peabody Historical Society & Museum is a center for the preservation, study and enjoyment of Peabody’s cultural heritage. The Society’s collections are of local and national significance and document over 300 years of the region’s history. The Society maintains eight historic properties, an extensive library and archives, and a large collection of china, textiles, furniture and fine and decorative arts.

We are situated in the southern Massachusetts and Rhode Island area, approximately one hour from Boston, 20 minutes from Providence, 45 minutes from Newport and one hour from Cape Cod. Our working family farm provides a picturesque background to your event of any kind. We host weddings, bridal and baby showers, corporate and private events.

We have two banquet rooms. The larger of the two, the Berkshire room, has a capacity of 100-350 (minimum of 150 on a Saturday and 100 on any other day of the week). The smaller of the two, the Westfield room, has a capacity of 50-150 people (minimum of 100 people on a Saturday and 50 any other day of the week). We also have a beautiful outdoor ceremony space with the option to host an inside ceremony as well.

Our space includes a waterside hydrangea lined lawn area, covered porch, Sperry Tent over beautifully paved patio, a stunning hall upstairs with floor to ceiling window views of the bay connected to an outdoor deck.

Host your next private party at Woods Hill Pier 4 located in the heart of the Seaport. Our magnificent harbor views provide a perfect setting for all social and corporate events! Impress your guests with delectable farm to table cuisine, creative craft cocktails, and carefully curated wines. Our beautiful event spaces can accommodate anything from intimate dinners of up to 18 people in our private dining room to large elaborate celebrations of up to 200 people.
