PAGU is a 2025 Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand winner and James Beard Foundation nominated Spanish Japanese tapas restaurant located in Cambridge, MA. Inspired by Chang's experiences at O Ya, Le Cordon Bleu Paris, Spanish three-star Michelin Restaurante Martin Berasategui, Guchi's Midnight Ramen, and Harvard's Science + Cooking Program, the menu highlights local ingredients, while celebrating the harmony of flavors and techniques of Japanese and Spanish cuisines. Truly the best!
Had the best experience having our wedding at Pagu! From start to finish, it was great working with the team, Chris & Amanda! We emailed countless questions leading up to the day and they were always great in getting things answered and problem solving as needed. They have worked on many weddings and it shows why people continue to choose them. We had a wedding of about 60 guests and the space had more than enough room. We were able to utilize the patio space as well to get air when needed and so it was great to be able to spread out so comfortably. They could easily handle a larger wedding though as we originally were looking at higher numbers when we started. While your wedding day is overwhelming and you don't often get time to eat, the team made sure to bring us food on their upstairs balcony where we could hide out after our ceremony to eat and get a little quiet time away from guests. They also made sure to package anything we didn't eat (and the many leftover desserts that I overordered on from an outside source) for us to pick up the next day. We were so grateful for this and the food was still great as leftovers--truly! Their service is truly unmatched and they also are great in handling food restrictions/allergies--guests specifically noted this! They brought out smaller portions for those guests when needed so they still had enough options. We are still getting compliments on the food and drinks as well as atmosphere. We can't wait to celebrate many anniversaries eating dinner here too as the food is what absolutely sold us. We especially enjoyed getting to make our own cocktails which guests also raved about.
My Dream Wedding
The Pagu team was an absolute dream to work with. They were responsive to all our questions and helped us determine the best way to utilize the space for our wedding ceremony and reception. All of our guests were singing the staff's praises, the food's quality, and the overall atmosphere (Quote: "This is the best wedding food I've ever had!"). The cherry on top was that some of our wedding guests have specific food allergies, and the team at Pagu created custom dishes for them! I know they do events like this on a daily basis, but they truly made our wedding feel special. My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better wedding.
Best wedding ever!
Pagu was the perfect venue for our wedding celebration. From the very first interaction, their team was prompt, attentive, and detail-oriented, ensuring that every aspect of our special day was thoughtfully taken care of. The beautiful, spacious restaurant in the heart of Cambridge provided the ideal setting. Their day of coordinating allowed us to truly be present and enjoy the occasion. The Spanish Japanese fusion cuisine and incredible drinks were just what we were looking for, receiving rave reviews from all in attendance. We are so grateful to the Pagu team for helping to make our wedding day absolutely perfect!
Phenomenal
Outstanding wedding venue and restaurant. Extremely kind and supportive staff from beginning to end. We had multiple guests remark that it was the "best wedding food" they had ever had and several others say that it was the best service they've seen at a wedding (we chose a family style set up and it was done to perfection). Chef and owner Tracy Chang and her team helped us pick our own menu and customize our ceremony and reception. The Pagu team made this feel stress-free from the moment we started planning all the way through clean up after our event. The level of professionalism is top of the line (and rare these days!) The quality of product for the price is absolutely high value. We always felt that the team at Pagu had our best interest at heart. We cannot recommend highly enough for anyone looking for a non-traditional wedding venue with exceptional food and service in a unique and beautiful space.
