It was such a fun surprise, and everyone loved watching their portraits come to life throughout the night. Seeing people’s reactions when they received their illustrations was honestly one of my favorite parts of the day. I even found myself delivering a few portraits just so I could watch their faces light up.
Before the wedding, Candace created a portrait of Chris and me that she displayed at her table as an example, which was such a thoughtful touch and gave guests a preview of her incredible talent. Every portrait she created was beautiful, and I still can’t get over how quickly she was able to capture people while making each illustration feel special and unique.
Although we didn’t get much time to chat with her during the wedding, it was obvious how attentive and professional she was. She took wonderful care of our guests and made sure as many people as possible received their portraits. She’s also mailing us any portraits that weren’t picked up or weren’t completed before the end of the night, which means our guests will still get to enjoy them and we’ll be able to include them with thank-you cards.
A live illustrator is such a unique wedding favor, and Candace absolutely knocked it out of the park. The portraits were stunning, the experience was unforgettable, and it quickly became one of the most talked-about parts of our wedding.
