Lindsay, our sales & event manager was such a delight to work with and always responsive and helpful with our questions and needs during the planning process. Michele, our day-of manager was such a calm and effective manager and made sure everything flowed seamlessly. The food and service was excellent and the team did such a great job. We had a magical and joyous time and our guests enjoyed themselves very much.

We were married 11/16/2024 here and we could not be happier with our choice of venue. Nancy and Donna were fantastic to work with and answered any questions we had right away. On the day of the wedding Donna was extremely helpful. We truly felt that the staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had a good day; they checked in on my husband and I during pictures multiple times to ensure we were able to enjoy the appetizers we had selected. We got so many compliments about the food and the aesthetic of the venue. If you are concerned about food allergies, rest assured that you are in good hands with this kitchen. Anything we needed they covered right away. Our easel was missing a screw and they were kind enough to let us borrow one! We truly felt very taken care of. They were extremely patient and understanding with any decisions we had trouble making or any time we were disorganized. The wedding coordinator that they recommended to us was AWESOME to work with as well. I loved the bridal suite. We had so much space and the decor was beautiful. It reminded me of my grandmother’s house which made me feel even more comfortable. I highly recommend getting the apple cider mimosas and snacks they offer while you’re getting ready there! Absolutely kept everyone happy in the morning. Our photos and portraits that were taken both inside and outside are simply gorgeous; I can’t say enough about how good they came out. The way the lighting comes in is a photographer’s dream. The entire layout of the venue makes for excellent photos. This venue is also very affordable compared to every other space we looked at. It felt like it was made for us to get married in and we cannot wait to return there for dinner on our anniversaries. Thank you so much to the Salem cross inn for being a part of the happiest day of our lives!

I had the pleasure of working with Hope Lodge Venue recently as a wedding photographer and I can say they are a fantastic choice . Their communication style is incredibly responsive, helpful, and enthusiastic - they go above and beyond to ensure every detail is taken care of. Great quality of work for a the value ; the venue is open, clean, bright, and airy, creating the perfect atmosphere for a wedding or big event . One memorable example was when the staff dressed up along with the Gatsby-themed wedding, truly immersing themselves in the couple's vision. My only suggestion would be for them to potentially expand their parking area in the future, but overall, Hope Lodge Venue is an excellent option for couples seeking a beautiful, well-managed wedding venue and one they could decorate and make their own.

We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our wedding! We wanted a venue with history, beautiful views, affordable, and only had one wedding a day -- and we got it! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning scenery and beautiful architecture. The staff was incredibly accommodating, the bartenders were so thoughtful. One brought in mint from her garden, as mojitos were my favorite drink! While there were a few moments of uncertainty and lack of communication in the planning process, it didn't take away from the magic of the day. The outdoor ceremony space was perfect, surrounded by lush greenery and gorgeous views. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful everything was! Inside, the reception area was equally impressive, with plenty of room for dancing and celebrating. The food was absolutely delicious, and they offered a variety of options that everyone loved. The Barker House by Wedgewood Weddings is hands-down the best option for a wedding. We toured the venue during the re-construction and re-branding process. They assured us that everything would turn out fine (and it did!). Venue/Space: We were the first wedding post-renovation to have an outdoor ceremony. The space is gorgeous and looks super sleek. It's enclosed yet felt so spacious. The cocktail hour and reception were inside the building which is absolutely stunning. It felt elegant, historic, but also comfortably homey. The whole venue is incredibly aesthetic. They did an amazing job with the place. Planning/Packages: The comprehensive packages are what really drew us to Wedgewood. It truly made the planning process SO much easier; the fact that the packages are so highly customizable helped make our special day the wedding of our dreams. They emphasized price transparency, and we were grateful for that as well. We decided to use other vendors for some aspects, and Wedgewood easily integrated their services into our wedding day. The Food: The food! Amazing!! We were gone during cocktail hour, but Paula set aside some of everything for us to try when we returned. We, and our guests, LOVED everything. The meatballs were incredible, the apple and brie phyllo apps were phenomenal, and the crab cakes were so good. During dinner, we again were super impressed. The prime rib, salmon, and chicken piccata were remarkable! We also added a mashed potatoes bar to be served at dinner, and that was a hit! They were phenomenal. For dessert, we brought our own cookies, which they were happy to set out for us, but we also added chocolate strawberries and a donut station. The donuts were a smash -- they were huge, fun, and absolutely delicious. For a late night bite, we added a nachos bar. Again, this was a great decision. So many people complimented the meat that came with those nachos. The food will definitely be a memorable aspect of our wedding! The Staff: The staff also helped make our wedding day a success. The general managers did transition several months into the planning process but this did not impact us in any way. When we met the new manager, Duncan, he was already familiar with us and our event and answered any and all of our many questions. Cassie was our wedding coordinator and was our main point of contact for the planning process. She was AMAZING! She was so much fun to work with and super helpful. She answered all of our questions super quickly and was able to solve any problem that we encountered. We also gave her a lot of autonomy in setting up the decorations that we brought, and she knocked it out of the park. On the day of the wedding, Cassie made sure that everything went smoothly and that we wouldn't have to worry about anything. We also met Lyric the day before our wedding during the rehearsal, but we wished we had met her sooner! She was such a ray of sunshine and helped our wedding day run smoothly. She checked in on us throughout the day to check if we needed anything. She was awesome. Paula was our banquet coordinator, and she was FABULOUS! She was so unbelievably kind, helpful, and always so eager to help us. We had accommodations that required all of the staff to have responsibilities beyond a traditional wedding at the Barker House, but Paula truly went above and beyond to make things go smoothly. Overall, the staff was incredible to work with, and they made our day so easy and one to remember.

Weeks later, we're still absolutely gushing over the Mansion! It was the perfect venue for our wedding. They had it all, from phenomenal staff to luxurious facilities, not to mention the stunning views. We had the pleasure of working with Alexandra(Alex) we could not have asked for a better person! Alex knew all of our family members and bridal party’s names, and was extremely personable. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of all night. She brought me a snack before the ceremony and continuously brought me my water all day and night (without me asking)They truly make you feel like a VIP throughout your entire day and their top notch team(along with our caterer David Alan) ensured that everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. In the early stages of planning we worked with Jessica Hess and she is extremely helpful and communicative. The mansion truly felt like home for the day. We hosted our ceremony on the vista , cocktail hour was on the terrace, and we had dinner in the East ballroom. Guests were in awe of the estate (we also lucked out with absolutely perfect weather), and how every detail was perfectly executed. Our special day was truly a dream and felt like it was out of a movie! We could not recommend the Wadsworth Mansion enough, and can't wait to return for future celebrations. It's definitely well-worth the investment and would 10/10 recommend hosting your special day here! Saint Clements Castle provided a beautiful venue and kind staff for our wedding day. We especially appreciated our sales coordinator, Alyssa, who was professional, fast, and clear in her communication throughout the planning process. When rain forced us to move the ceremony indoors, the team quickly adapted the art gallery for us. The servers and bridal attendants were also attentive and went above and beyond to help finish set up when our florist left early. Our guests had incredibly kind things to say about the servers, and overall we had a great experience. It was also lovely to have a place that was a one stop shop for event planning! We did lose some decor in the shuffle which was an inconvenience, and some of the instructions for set up I left were not followed (our confetti got lost, only four guests got packets, the bridal suites did not have the supplies we left for them). My husband’s family were also really upset with one of the managers on property who wouldn’t allow them to walk in a covered area and was a bit rude about it, despite an event not happening and the rain being a torrential downpour causing unsafe conditions for his elderly family to walk in. Overall we had a great experience, and would recommend the castle to anyone planning a wedding!

Full disclaimer, my husband and I both work for Connecticut Wedding Group. So, you may think this post is a tad biased, but we'd have to disagree... You see at the start of our engagement we did entertain some "obligatory" research, but, this was incredibly short lived. Every weekend we see our couples share their big day with all of the most important people in their lives. A moment you only get once, and our team pours their whole hearts into making every minute pure perfection. My husband was (hands down) here for the food, while I was here so I didn't need to plan my own wedding and worry about all the logistics that my brain normally can't avoid. Our guests continue to rave. It was the best day ever, and we are so deeply grateful to our team for doing what they do. Our only regret is we can't do it again and again and again.

My husband and I got married at Terrydiddle Farm on June 29, 2024 and it was MAGICAL. Lissa and her team, the impeccable grounds, the horses, the lawn games, Sophie the dog... Everything was absolutely perfect and everything we were looking for. Tons of our guests, friends and family raved about our venue, saying it is the best wedding venue they have ever been to. When we toured Terrydiddle, we said we'd take a bit to think about it, and we called Lisa to confirm 10 minutes after leaving the property. A great perk they have is their "open house" where you can tour the venue while they have it set up for a wedding. It gives you such a great idea of what your day will look like. The bridal suite is so cute and was so helpful for our morning and holding our belongings, the barn and cocktail area is perfect for mingling with people after the ceremony, and the lawn games are just the best touch. Tons of our guests were playing corn hole! The fire pit was awesome for us and our guests too, and we included a cigar table, which was a huge hit! We used Terrydiddle's staff for our bar services, which worked out perfectly. The reception tent is so beautiful and the rental options (arbor, sweetheart table, barrels, etc) make things so helpful for decor purposes and eased some of my stress, as we mostly did mostly DIY. Lissa and her team do an amazing job keeping their property clean and gorgeous. The perfect wedding venue through and through.

We got married 1/5/25 but had been working with Miriam for probably a year and a half before our big day. She was always so personable with us a treated us like family. Words cannot describe the love and care we felt from Jake, our maître D and Samantha, our bridal attendant, on our wedding day. We were cared for tediously and effortlessly. We felt like at ease, happy and totally relaxed. I needed Samantha and didn’t even know it, I am forever indebted to her - she could not have been more attentive and wonderful. Comforting me, assuring me, getting me where I need to be and when. So friendly, kind and amazing. Thank god for Jake. He is so special and we’re so lucky we got him as our maître D. He deems himself as a “yes man” and he is not lying. Anything you could have ever wanted from him, he’d deliver. We wanted for nothing, had wonderful direction from him all night and he took care of EVERYTHING!  The night was flawless, amazing, perfect and all we could have ever hoped for. The staff at Bourne is unmatched, we made the right choice with this venue. Guests will be in awe of the venue and talk about the food for years to come. I wish I could do it all again. Thank you Bourne mansion & staff for the best night of our lives! I don’t have all my pics back yet!

I have loved coming to the Essex Steam Train & Riverboat museum since I was a child so when my husband and I got engaged, we knew we had to get married here. It was such a magical venue and was reasonably priced. They truly don't try to nickel-and-dime you like a lot of other wedding venues, they just want you to have a good experience. The bridal suite was a beautifully decorated air-conditioned train car. We also decided to add on a roundtrip steam train ride down to the CT river and a steamboat cruise as our cocktail hour (honestly didn't cost as much as you'd think...). Our reception was inside the hall and was perfectly air-conditioned and decorated. We did a buffet option and the food was good! If you decide to get married outside, just remember that it IS an active train yard so make sure your officiant has a microphone. Meredith and Tyler were very easy to work with while planning the event. I highly recommend getting married here. Oh, and your photos will look INSANE.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Wright’s Mill Farm! From start to finish, our wedding day was absolutely perfect, thanks to their incredible team. With March weather being so unpredictable, we opted for the patio ceremony, and it turned out great. The backdrop was absolutely gorgeous, and the ceremony was even more beautiful than we could have imagined! The photos we got were stunning. I can’t imagine how beautiful it would be when the trees are full! Brie, our day-of coordinator, was phenomenal. She was on top of every detail, quick to respond to any issues, and made sure everything went off without a hitch. We never had to worry about a thing because she had it all handled seamlessly. She has impeccable taste, and we loved that she was comfortable voicing her opinion on small details we couldn’t decide on. Curt and the entire catering team did an amazing job—our guests are still raving about the food! From cocktail hour to the late-night snacks, everything was delicious, and they even accommodated last-minute dietary needs without hesitation. If I had to pick one item that I would eat every day for the rest of my life, it would be the mini monte cristos from cocktail hour!!! The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We were never without a drink in hand, and the bar service was so efficient that there was never a line. A special shoutout to Cheryl and Chrissy, who were always right there whenever we needed anything. They even checked in with other guests to make sure everyone had what they needed for a fun night! Their attentiveness made such a difference in our day. If anything went wrong, we certainly never noticed! The entire experience was smooth, stress-free, and absolutely unforgettable.
