I was born and raised in Northeast PA, the Poconos, in the small town of East Stroudsburg. I left home for college at West Virginia University (Go Mountaineers!) where I received my BA in Communication Studies. My entire professional career has been spent in the event planning industry, with many years before that spent in hospitality. It's all I've ever known! While heavily focused in the corporate events world to start, I transitioned into the Weddings & Social event space and never looked back.

Katie Auffant is the Owner and Lead Planner of That's Darling Events. Katie's love for weddings and planning events was first sparked when she worked for a catering company during her college years. She always enjoyed weddings and all the details that come with planning an event; And being that she is a hopeless romantic, has always been obsessed with love. But it was working behind the scenes of a wedding for the first time that really inspired her to find her true passion. She received her bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with the desire to hopefully one day build her own company.

I'm Sydney, but you can call me Syd! I'm the founder and lead creative director of SSE. Born & raised in the heart of the Pocono Mountains, my small-town upbringing profoundly influences my joys, passions and design choices. When I'm not immersed in creativity, you'll find me enjoying quality time with my fiancé, family, and cats.
